spa was great, hotel lived up to expectations as we had stayed before. quiet location.

I should have asked for a room on a lower level as my mobility with stairs is not great

Good, lots of choice. Extra £7 for some items is a bit cheeky though, eg for avocado on toast. £7 extra for that? Odd.

The extra £7 for some items.

beautiful estate in an amazing setting!

breakfast was a little overpriced, we paid extra for breakfast to be included but a lot of the many had an extra surcharge on it. waiters also got our order wrong and forgot items. we ordered 2 sausage and bacon rolls, but we only got one (which was incorrect). we mentioned the missing roll to the waiter, also adding that it had been the wrong and the waiter returned with the same mistaken roll again.

Beautiful location beside Loch Ard. Lots of parking spaces. Very well maintained gardens surrounding the hotel. Some people complain about the old decoration. I liked the classic charm of wood panels, big armchairs etc.. makes a change from plastic and harsh lights. Staff were very helpful and polite. Any questions were replied to efficiently with a smile. Our room had a view looking over the gardens to the loch. Bottled water, coffee capsules and shortbread replaced every morning.

Not that I didn't like it but observed that some of the bar/restaurant staff were a little inexperienced. For us, it wasn't a problem, but I heard others complaining about the time it took to be served.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful Liz and Nora were the first ones I met and I liked the fact they even introduced themselves and said if I need anything just ask and they were very approachable. Also, a young lad from the bar/restaurant who was from Mexico was very helpful. Food was delicious. Pet friendly room.was amazing. Even tried a.spa treatment which was also.very nice and the spa itself is.great as well so is its staff. Location is beautiful. Haven't had such nice stay for a long time. Very much enjoyed it and can highly.recommend it. Thank you.

The only thing is not.very good that it is hard to walk.outwidth of the hotel.area as.there are no pavements, the road goes.basically between the Loch and the property. Stunning but not good for walks.

Beautiful location. Stunning views from room. Serving staff very friendly. Robes, slippers

Some breakfast items cold (beans, toast) Bread stale. Hair on breakfast ramekin on second morning. Staff casually waiting at reception whilst we waited to check in. The receptionist was aware we arrived early, so we went away for a walk. Came back and waited at the time it was advised it would be ready. Staff talked but we weren't acknowledged. Card holder for electrics looked unsafe. Ceiling had filler/plastering marks. Some other aspects of the room were tired given it was a deluxe room. Questionable over the elemis products in room??

Very welcoming. Lovely grounds. Great location.

Although dog friendly dogs are not allowed in all areas. This was not made clear when booking. Also, at £15 per night for the dog you have to ask is that price justified?

To start, we only spent one evening and night at this hotel, but it was truly memorable. We were lucky enough to experience the breathtaking views both at dusk and dawn. Watching the birds fly by and listening to their songs from the comfort of our room was a delightful experience. We also took a short walk around the hotel grounds, which were equally stunning.

Our only recommendation would be regarding the dinner. We don’t usually dine at hotels during our holidays, but since this one is a bit far from the nearest pub, we decided to eat there. In my opinion, considering the beauty of the hotel, the food could be of a higher standard.

Fabulous location, rooms comfy, sheets clean, bathroom & shower clean. Lovely warm swimming pool. Gardens were stunning.

Although room was comfy the decor is dated felt it could do with a makeover. There was no moisturizer in the rooms for my skin it is essential. No cotton face wipes to clean your skin after an evening out surely this should be essential for a 4 star hotel. No Bath robes in the bedrooms again it should be a must for your star rating. Breakfast was adequate was a bit miffed when I mixed the breakfast so I asked for scrambled eggs & potato cake I was charged £1.00 supplement very strange! No bathrobes when you wanted to swim just a very hard small towel. They are minor things but need attention.

We were in the area for a wedding and stayed a couple of nights. We were not able to take full advantage of the hotel's facilities but understand the indoor pool is very good. Our deluxe room was spacious and comfortable with a marvellous view across the lake. The hotel has lovely gardens and a nice outdoor terrace, as well as comfortable bar and restaurant facilities inside. Breakfast was good and service was good - but sometimes a bit random.

We arrived around 7:00pm and were asked what time we would like breakfast when we checked in. Breakfast should normally be available until around ten but by the time we arrived the latest slot available was 8:30am. I understand that the hotel don't want the dining room to be too crowded but it was a little annoying in this case. Breakfast was included in our rate; watch out for supplementary charges for specialist beverages (cappuccino, hot chocolate, etc.) and some cooked breakfast dishes.
