Old Quebec is simply charming. The architecture is amazing and you feel that you are in a European city as you explore. The location of the hotel is excellent, situated right in town within walking distance to great restaurants and tourist attractions. We had a Deluxe King Room which was very quiet, comfortable and spacious. Upon arrival, the staff was very helpful with loading in and directions for parking. In our room, we discovered printed pages with walking tours of the Lower and Upper towns written by co-owner Chris Keating. These writings were very beneficial and interesting to us. They guided us in our travels throughout the city. (Thank you Mr. Keating.) There is beautiful art work hanging on almost every wall and we enjoyed taking the stairs to each floor to experience it. In the lounge area downstairs, there is a coffee machine where you can get coffee, cappuccino, or other coffee beverages any time of the day, in addition to the in room coffee maker. The lounge also offers tea, filtered water, fruit, books, puzzles and board games. Down the road on a side street, we discovered a wonderful breakfast place, Chez Temporel. There is also a deli next door to Chez Temporel called Epicerie De La Rue Couillard where you can order sandwiches, baguettes, soup for your days' adventures. There are excellent restaurants everywhere very close to the Hotel. We hope to be back!
Everything was wonderful.

The staff were so helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. There was always someone on hand and everything was prompt and efficient. They have a lounge with fruits and water and coffee which we loved and used during our stay. Fantastic restaurant attached- would highly recommend a visit. There is beautiful decor and artworks throughout
Nothing.. it was all great!

The breakfast hamper was amazing, I looked forward to it each day. The staff were incredibly accommodating. The accommodation was so clean, tidy and very snug and comfortable. The location is beautiful, I fell in love with this place. Best hotel stay I’ve ever had, thank you.
Absolutely nothing.

The location is wonderful, just down the hill from the Chateau Frontenac, inside the walls of the old city, with nice breakfast and dinner places close by. The room was clean and quiet - not a peep until at least 9:00 am. The staff were very accommodating, The extra lounge/living room on the ground level was great for coffee, getting together with family for a drink, or even spending a little time on the on-going puzzle in the back room. All-in-all, a superb location and facility.
The only thing that could have been better was the weather. Rather than the usual nice snow for December, we had a warm spell with rain/snow mix.

We loved the size of the room and 2 queen beds which was perfect for our family of four. The room was quiet and exceptionally clean. We were very comfortable and slept well. We loved the bottled water in the room. We utilized the espresso bar in the lounge daily and really enjoyed the delicious coffee. We loved the location of the hotel, so convenient to the German Christmas Markets and the ability to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We ate at the restaurant that adjoins the Hotel, Bistro Hortus, and had a wonderful meal. This property exceeded all of our expectations. We had a perfect visit to Quebec City and highly recommend Hotel du Vieux Quebec.
This is a minor technicality, but we did not qualify for the complementary breakfast basket delivery because we booked our stay through booking.com. I was unaware of this until we arrived. Luckily, it made no difference as there were so many delicious breakfast spots in walking distance.

Location is amazing, right along the many shops and restaurants, very lively and charming. Hotel refilled water bottles for free everyday. Room size was good for two, we got a nice view of the street. The counter staff were really polite and smiley. Checkin was smooth and so was checkout. They have air purifiers in the corridors, lobby and elevator. Nice recreational room where one can play games and stuff. The room was nice too and special mention to the amazing powerful hairdryer. The drawer had a detailed walking tour guide with history which was a nice touch.
I liked everything. Just a suggestion to include in-room dining in future, as the restaurant downstairs will only deliver snacks to room but you still need to go down to order it. Also to include small toiletries like toothpaste etc.

This is an older, but nicely renovated, two-story motel set back from the main road with especially nice landscaping and a smaller outdoor pool. Our room had two beds, a couch and coffee table, a coffee-maker, mini-fridge and microwave and a very large flat-screen TV. The bath was renovated and had plush towels. Breakfast is included and is available at the small check-in space at the front of the property. There are picnic tables directly outside. The breakfast does not include hot foods, but is expansive: a large array of fresh fruits, yogurts, pastries and muffins, bagels, bread, cereal, juices, coffee, etc. Diners are encouraged to take extra items to consume later. The staff and owners are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Parking is very convenient.

The hotel is located in the heart of Quebec's old city amid terrific restaurants. Rue St. Jean is the main street for experiencing the city. The hotel's staff was helpful, courteous and happy. The accommodations (room) was adequate for our needs with new or near new furnishings and bath fixtures. Coffee was available in the lounge 24/7 and underground parking only a block away ($). The hotel does not have a dining room but guests can have a basket delivered to the room each morning containing two fresh pastries, orange juice, yogurt, cheese stick and jam ($). "$"= moderate extra charge.
Nothing.

I honestly absolutely LOVE this place, this is the third time I’m going in the past four years! I love the decor, the cleanliness and the staff. They are all so friendly, attentive and organized! The staff is truly like a well-oiled machine. I remember the last time we came with my then 5-month old, they truly treated him like a little king and the crib they gave us was adorable and looked like it was comfortable, which the fact that he slept through the night like he normally would says plenty. I also love the lobby down to the lemon water, the board games and the coffee machine which makes surprisingly great coffee. The mattresses are very comfortable, not too soft and not too firm. We had the breakfast basket, which at the price of viennoiseries these days, was honestly not too pricey. The breakfast croissants were so buttery and fresh and the homemade jam was to die for!
I personally prefer thinner pillows to sleep on. It would be nice to have an option between fluffier pillows and thinner pillows. I also have a family tradition where we watch cable television when we stay at hotels, I wish that the sound quality of the television was better, something like a soundbar would probably work. Very minor inconveniences compared to the overall great experience you will get staying at this hotel.

Location is prime - right in the center of the city, great place to set out and explore. Breakfast option was great, you can get a picnic basket delivered to your room with a continental breakfast, which you can retrieve at your leisure. Also, the restaurant in the hotel is very good - farm to table. Check-in was easy, with a dedicated parking spot to use. This is a important in the old city with its narrow streets. Overnight parking is off-prem about 1 block away in an underground secure lot. The hotel provides you with a pass, so you can come and go as you please.
