A group of four of us stayed in the cottage for three nights in November 2024. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the full bouquet of DStv sports channels, kitchenette and large covered stoep with its braai and plenty of seating.

The fans on the electricity inverter come on periodically and can be a bit obtrusive for two of the rooms, but it's not serious and will be a boon if loadshedding returns or if there is a general power failure.

Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation in Fouriesburg. The breakfast arrangement at the Orange Apple a few blocks away works well and we enjoyed our breakfasts. I have stayed at Sandstone Chameleon about five or six times previously and it remains my favourite place to stay in Fouriesburg. David is always there to welcome one and is very friendly and helpful. He is a great asset to the establishment.

My room was quite spacious but some of the other rooms are quite small. Those are however completely adequate. Then the dreaded loadshedding in South Africa is a bit of a problem and Sandstone Chameleon does not really cater for those times.

I really enjoyed the warm bed (with the electric blanket having been put on in advance), the beautiful stone house, the excellent parking and the great reception by the night manager at 9 pm . I was also thrilled to find the venue at theend of the main road leading directly to Caledonspoort border post, so that it was simple to navigate early in the morning in the winter darkness.

I have no comment, as this place is fantastic!

The breakfast was the worst we have ever experienced. The cleanliness of the kitchen was poor. Food inferior. No Serviettes, food cold. We will introduce the property anytime, but unfortunately, if you want to book for BED AND BREAKFAST, it is a no-go.

What a nice place to discover! Very neat and tidy! The room does have everything you can think of! That includes underfloor heating!! What a little gem in the Eastern Free State! Well done to the owners!!!

The place does have everything you need! There is nothing to complain about. If I have to complain I can only say the TV in the room wasn't working. Absolutely no train smash for me!!

The warm welcome from David, he assisted and guided us from our arrival till our departure.

The main gate motor was broken. The shower drain was blocked, and water did not drain properly. Ran out of toilet paper, but David assisted us. It would be nice to have a backup toilet roll in the room. It would be great if they could get aircons as all the other 4 star hotels we stayed in the past had aircons.

Absolutely a must when you are in the area. The room has everything you can think of. The staff is very friendly! Good value for money!

We spent a night here on our way to Lesotho. Our rooms were cozy and warm, with electric blankets, and the location was perfect for a stopover. Loved the tea, coffee and rusks, and the well-equipped kitchen. David let us in after 9pm and was very helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money!

The place is neat and tidy and the comfy of the rooms being so close was excellent. The only thing that is missing is as small splash pool to cool off after a hot day out.

Getting hold of anybody on Saturday morning when the power tripped just after 5am.
