Toni is friendly, accommodating and helpful at all times with a wonderful mannerism & personality. She is professional, humble and thoughtful. The simplistic yet modern-touch decorated space forms part of a stunning property, privately situated in a beautiful and peaceful golf estate, close to shops and restaurants. Toni goes to great lengths to make sure one feels welcome and at ease. Aside from the place being spotless, extra attention has gone into making sure that you have everything you need making this stay, feel like a home away from home experience.

Great location and close to Clarens town, super for golfers, I run and there are lovely runs along the golf course. We have been coming to Clarens for many years but have never stayed on the golf estate. It is a well-maintained estate and very safe. Had great fish and chips at the Clarens Brewery and with new owners, they have kept the high standards of the food. Also ate at Treat, but not as good as the Brewery. We really enjoyed the accommodation, it is beautifully looked after and spotlessly clean, and Toni & Pete were so welcoming.

The loft was very cosy and warm because of the wall-mounted heaters and the fireplace. It had everything that we needed and more. The host was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The loft was also cleaned daily which always is a bonus. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

The only thing I missed was coffee tables in the sitting room, but it wasn't a train smash. We just had to be careful of where we put our glasses on the floor.

I travel alot on business and I've stayed at alot of places.. but this place stands out above the rest... a tranquil place where the air is fresh and you get to experience an absolutely restful stay...the apartment itself has everything you need..the bathroom is clean and spacious...the bed was comfortable and the linen and towels were fresh ...also this place is totally safe.. you won't even need a key... don't miss this!

I didn't like that I could only stay 2 nights...

The location was very good for me travelling alone as the Golf Estate is secured and visitors need a gate code to enter and exit. I received my gate code prior to leaving Johannesburg. My patio looked out onto a pretty tranquil garden with trees giving me privacy. Clarens town centre was about 6 minutes drive away. I felt comfortable and the rooms were well furnished, the kitchen had all the utensils I needed and there was plenty of hot water for the shower and washing facilities. The suite of rooms was very clean and much thought had gone into the decoration and design of the suite. Highly recommended.

The Loft Apartment was situated on its own so privacy was all ours. The fireplace wotked liked a charm which added to the ambience making it very cozy. Lisa the helper was a star making sure it was clean and our Fireplace was always ready with enough wood to enjoy the stay. The hosts were wonderful. It was a pleasure to meet such an amazing talented Couple.

We missed not having DSTV due to a glitch but enjoyed the Netflix Channel My hubby who has big feet felt the stairs going up and down to the Loft were a bit small (LOL)

Great place to stay in Clarence, in particular for golfers as the place is situated on the golf estate. Very helpful hosts. Gave us good pieces of advice before and after arrival. Clarence - great little town. Glad we went. Thank you very much Clarence country house.

Minor; Had some hassle with our provided entry code at the entrance/gate to the state. Was eventually sorted out,

Clarens is worth staying at, a lovely small town close to the Golden Gate NP. Toni our host was warm welcoming. Her advice to get some breakfast at Treat was perfect. How great the breakfast was! Country House is a quiet place, with nice sleeping and bath rooms. A great place to select if you need stay in Clarens!

We only stayed for a night and did enjoy our stay.

Quiet, pretty location. Wood burning stove. Crispy cotton sheets and duvet. Fluffy thick towels. Neat and tidy. Fire place prepared for us each day.

Communication on whats app with host problematic. Suggestion. Info booklet with wi-fi code, attractions in the area such as recommended restaurants, and conservancy hike details because there is no Clarens Info office in town

We had a fantastic week week at Clarens Country House. Toni and Pete are warm and interesting people and we had nice conversations with them. Both location and facilities are perfect and we had one of our best weeks ever on holidays. I can advise this guesthouse to everybody. The location has good wifi.

Daily powercuts in SA might become a real problem for tourism.
