As other reviews have mentioned, the location is excellent, and the room is very clean. What impressed me the most was Sonja and her team, who made our trip to Valencia truly wonderful for me and my boyfriend. Staying here felt just like coming home. Sonja is a beautiful and elegant lady. Although we didn’t share the same language, I trusted and liked her at first sight. She reminded me of my mom back in China. When we were leaving, she even saw us off to the car. I regret not giving her a big hug before we left! With the arrival of the New Year in 2025, I’d like to send my best wishes to Sonja and her family. Until we meet again!

I booked this property 5 months prior to my stay and during this time I never looked for an alternative, not even once, I was just sure this place is the perfect choice and once I got there I found out my feeling was completely right. The location is simply perfect, you are in the heart of the historic center, just a couple of minutes form Plaça de la Reina and a walking distance from every other point of interest, everything is close by. Also there are lots of nice restaurants, bars and shops around, the area is very lively, but at the same time it is not too noisy and you are able to get a good night’s rest. The facilities are very clean and comfortable, also we felt extremely safe as the reception works 24/7 and there is always a person present there, ready to assist you in any way possible. Each person we met was so lovely and helpful, especially the two sisters who own and run the hotel. I also recommend trying a treat from their family bakery just a minute down the street as everything we tried there was so delicious! It truly shows that the family run their businesses with a lot of love and dedication. We truly loved our stay and would be more than happy to visit again. Thank you for your hospitality!❤️

One of my best hotel experiences. As many people have commented Sonia and her family are lovely hosts and made us feel welcome before we arrived with quick responses, when we arrived and all through our stay. The hotel has a homely feel, good soundproofing, and fantastic location in the Old Town close to all the major attractions which are easily walked to, and lots of restaurants. We loved the free fresh pastries provided each morning, and also visited their family bakery just down the round (a must).

Our stay here was very nice! Perfect location, 9min to everything! You are right in the middle of the centre. Really lovely and friendly staff that is always there if you need anything or just to have a chat. Comfortable beds, very clean rooms they were cleaned every day! There's tea and coffee station at reception with lots of space to sit down and relax. I mean, we couldn't ask for more. If coming back to Valencia will definitely stay here again. Thank you for such a lovely stay 🥰

Everything. The owner/s particularly Sonia we spoke to mostly...soooo helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful clean room and bathroom with excellent water pressure in shower. Comfy bed. Tea and coffee in lovely lounge area with pastries from bakery to have each morning. Hotel in perfect spot to get all main sights easily ...so easy to pop back to hotel at any time fir a rest and cuppa...as tea and coffee available all the time. Beautifully and tastefully decorated hotel. Would not even try anywhere else next time.

Great location right in the middle of the old town and easy walking distance to all the neighbourhood sights. The shower was great and it was the first time I had seen an English TV program in weeks. I really appreciated having a lift up to my room. I didn’t hear any noise from the street, but I did hear people in the corridor late at night which woke me up. The staff were lovely and provided me with a map.

There seems to be a trend towards not having a fridge or kettle in the room with hot or cold drinks only available for purchase in hotels nowadays. With the hot summer it will be so nice to have some cold water readily available in the room. People walking around, opening doors and talking late at night on both nights that I stayed. Bit of a walk from the Valencia Nord railway station but not too bad.

Omgoodness ! What a place to stay ! The room was perfect ! The staff were perfect ! The location in the old town and the accesss to restaurants, bars, churches and Cathedral was just as we imagined (and the passion surrounding EuroCup semi final was the icing on the cake as they say). I travel with internationally with work and I typically stay in 5 star properties…the mantra is to make the guest feel they are the first guest to use the room. I think Hostal Antigua Morena should be teaching master classes in hospitality! Not speck of dust anywhere. I am not a hotel inspector but sometimes you notice things and just move on…not here. It is a credit to the housekeeping staff, the reception staff and the management team. Thank you

The location of this hotel is PERFECT! You're walking distance to the Old Town area and lots of bars/restaurants. It was 2 blocks from the Central Market which was excellent! The staff was friendly and had recommendations for food and touristing. I liked that I could pick up a litter of water for 2 euros whenever I wanted in the lobby/common room. They also had tea and other drinks. The room was bare bones but clean and comfortable. My only qualm was with the thin pillows..I'm sure I could've asked for another pillow but by night 2 I was fine with it. I would definitely stay here again.

everything was fantastic...the staff were so accomodating, friendly and helpful....nothing was too much trouble. Very quiet base but central in Valencia. The beds were made and towels changed daily. They even put out a bowl of croissants for people staying each morning. The shower was brilliant but best used in early evening as temperature tended to fluctulate later in the evening. This was one of the best if not the best places we have stayed in...it was more hotel than hostel...thanks again DEFITELEY RECOMMEND

I loved everything with Hostal Antigua Morellana! The owners were very kind and let me check in a little earlier because I got sick on my way to Valencia. The lobby has a 90s feeling to it but it was charming. There you could get coffee, tea and other beverages (self service). Tea and pastries are for free, pastries coming from the bakery that is also owned by the family. The room was cute and clean, as well as the bathroom. Bathroom is equipped with hairdryer and basic shower gel/shampoo/soap. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The location is perfect: in the middle of old town, so you have a walking distance to everything: restaurants, shopping, museums, etc. The front door is always locked and they only let guests in, which felt safe.
