This place is beautiful. Amazing modern and spacious rooms. Air con works great. The views over the river are amazing. The staff were great (sometimes it was tricky because they didn't speak much English) and helped us fix our tuk tuk. The gardens and pool are lovelly too... very clean. Overall a great stay

We found the breakfast very disappointing. The papaya juice and omelette were fine... But no fresh fruit, no grilled tomatoes and the bread was very cheap and stale. We were also told the Sri Lankan breakfast was unavailable because we had to order it the night before... But they didn't mention it the night before when we agreed time for breakfast? Fix the breakfast and this place would be perfect :)

An exceptionally good place to stay. Beautifully designed buildings with high quality fittings. Rooms were particularly comfortable & clean. Big balconies overlooking a watery view with plenty of wildlife to watch. Excellent pool, kept very clean. Friendly & helpful staff. The highlight was a full-day safari in Udawalawe National Park, organised by the hotel at short notice. The hotel's in-house safari guide, Santha, was simply brilliant. He gave us a very full, relaxed, day of animal & bird watching. His broad knowledge & amazing observational skills combined with a bit of luck made for an unmissable experience. Anyone visiting the National Park can't do better than book both this hotel and a Santha-guided safari.

The food was good, but a very limited choice for veggies like us. The place is off the beaten track, so no real alternative for meals. Even so, the rest of the hotel experience was so good, we would certainly stay here again!

Absolutely loved this venue - I only stayed one night and wish I could have stayed longer. The room was beautiful and SO spacious and comfortable, with a huge modern bathroom and shower. We had both breakfast and dinner there and it was absolutely delicious. The view of the river is mesmerising and the staff were so helpful! Loved relaxing by the large pool after a long journey. They also arranged a guided tour for the morning and it was magical. All in all, 10/10 and would go back in a heartbeat for a few days for sure.

A 5 star hotel at hostel pricing, The photos do not do this place justice at all! If you’re looking at places to stay, you really need to book this place. Everything about it was truly beautiful and truly inspiring, The courtyard, the swimming pool, the room, the service and the staff. All of it was impeccable.

I can’t say there was anything particular. We have two showers outside which was wonderful, however, one of them could do with a little sprucing up.

The stay was very pleasant !💐. Staff is excellent ,very courteous (Lakshan & Ravindu)and goes an extra mile to keep the clients satisfied ! 👏. Hardworking crew and an excellent driver!.Thushan was very proffetional/safe driver and took us arround in the Udawalawa park ,he was better than an official tracker !. The food was amazing and all enjoyed to the maximum ..5 🌟 for the cheff, he is super ,knows both Western and Asian very well💐. Thank you , Best overall service in Udawalawa !👍

Super clean big and comfortable room with an extraordinary shower. You can feel the quality of the rooms and it´s worth the price. Inside the rooms you can find really everything you need and the balkonies with the view on the river are amazing. Inside the hotel area there is a super nice pool, it´s very quiet and the waiters are always helpful and friendly. They organize safaris for you as well. I would recommend to go there:)

We stayed in a room facing the river . That was very calming and relaxing .very much closer to nature. The staff were very friendly and went out of the way .to help us. The swimming pool is a bonus to have. They organized an elephant safari at the National Park. The driver was so good and managed to show us so .. We enjoyed thoroughly the quietness with water flowing .

The road leading to the premises bumpy . The menu needs updating as well.

Property is beautifully built with lot of greeneries and a swimming pool. Family Room size is big with balcony. Toilet was clean and big. Cook Thilina served us some tasty food and care taker Dinusha ensured we had a comfortable stay. Both staff are courteous and provided good customer service. We extended our stay by one more night. Tourist places like the Dam, Elephant National park and elephant orphanage are within 20 to 30mins driiving distance. Hotel organises these visits at nominal rate.

The Air Conditioning in family room during the day is bit less, probably because the room size is big and climate was hot in March end. Would suggest to have 02 AC units or a higher tonnage AC unit. Evening time room was cool enough to have good sleep.

Super staff (spoke excellent English as he had family in UK) and great facilities - the pool was excellent and the team were very attentive to our needs when booking the safari tours. They sort that all very easily for you and prepare lunch. The monkeys were fun for my family to enjoy watching and jungle frogs around as it was wet the first night of our stay. Truely magical.

The room was spacious and the views around the property were beautiful. It was secluded enough that it was quiet and peaceful, but the drive to Udawalawe Park didn't take long.

As other reviews said, the wifi didn't work so well (or sometimes at all) and our local sim cards also didn't have service. It wasn't a big deal as we just read and enjoyed nature, but someone who relies on connectivity may struggle.
