Nice pool. Simple and older rooms but good size with good showers, kettle & coffee supplied. 5 min walk to beautiful beach that’s good swimming and relaxing. Plenty of shops & eating opportunities. The first room I stayed in smelled like an ash tray. The staff was friendly & helpful to give me another room the next day that smelled nice & fresh.

I’ve stayed here five times in the last two years and it’s always my first choice when in Lamai. I’ve stayed in many places on this road and this is the best family run, budget accommodation option in town. It’s within walking distance to all of the Muay Thai gyms, night market, the beach and bars/restaurants. Nothing is too much trouble, the team are very friendly and accommodating. There’s daily room cleaning, water and pool towels available. The pool is clean and most importantly, the beds are decent and it’s not too loud to sleep, despite being a central location. I have no doubt I will be back :)

Sometimes the drains smell, this is common in Lamai and there’s not much that can be done!

Good location, nice pool area. Rooms are getting on but have everything you need from a budget accommodation.

receptionist welcome was a bit blunt with almost no talk and poor english/ was not here when I had to leave AC wall remote in the room seemed broken so had to play with it to get the AC properly working bathroom door ceiling is low , be careful for anyone over 180cm , I did hurt my head a few times Do not let your joint next to your ashtray on the balcony as I did it once, but the second time cleaner threw it away...

The bed was the comfiest bed I’ve slept in for a long time! We’ve been travelling for over 2 months and I had the best night sleep ever in that bed. The location is perfect for everything. Away from the busy nightlife in Chaweng but plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and the beach is one of the best on the island and it’s within walking distance! The room was also cleaned everyday with fresh towels, water in the fridge and more toilet paper. The rooms might look dated but everything was working perfectly and for the price you can’t complain!

Not the property’s fault at all but Apple Maps sends you across the road to the old hotel building which is completely abandoned. When we arrived we thought we’d been scammed! But it’s just on the opposite side of the road.

I loved staying at Grand Thai House. The owner was so friendly and so helpful. They gave us free water when we arrived, and then gave again in the following mornings (which is needed in this Thailand heat!) Also stocked us with toilet paper when needed (which in my experience, this has been rare) and they cleaned our room and gave us fresh clean towels. The room was clean and the air con was great.

It was a short walk to beach and in the middle of Main Street full of bars and restaurants

The pool was very cloudy looking for the most part of our 9day stay. They seemed to clean it or change the water about 2 days before we left and it was crystal clear and lovely and inviting for a dip. Beds only have 1 pillow per person. Could do with 2 per person. The rooms could do with fresh paint job as could the exterior

The hotel was near the center and just a short walk to the beach. There was a nice swimmingpool with sunbeds. The Room was cleaned every day. The balcony was great, i sat there in the morning and eat breakfast. In the room there is a small fridge and a kettle. The staff was amazing. I booked 3 nights but stayed 12 nights. And a tips. Don’t miss to eat at Namaste, best indian food right outside the hotel.

The location for the price was excellent. You are out of the melee of the main street but super close to everything. This is where you can stay for a good price and have all that you need at your fingertips. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Good A.C. safe included. Restaurant on site is good

Not really a negative but when you arrive the initial facade makes you second guess. But once you get to your room it is comfortable and great value.

Grand Thaï House is well located, in a nice neighbourhood of Koh Samui and close to the beach. The pool is great and the rooms are spacious with a little balcony.

Our room could get some little refreshing, such as fresh painting or more modern furniture and curtains. Apart from that, we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
