We received fresh towels every day. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is superb, 3 minutes walk to the tram, 5 minutes away from the Grand Bazaar and other main attractions of the city.

I was staying with two other friends and we were allocated a triple room in the attic, quite different from the one shown on Booking. The air in the room was quite bad, the bathroom had a leaky shower, but otherwise it was fine and clean for the price. We expected a more varied breakfast. We ran out of plates and coffee cups during breakfast. However, our stay was good and we recommend it.

The staff is really kind and helpful. The hotel room was clean. The wifi was really fast (80-90mbit) but sometimes didn’t work for a few minutes. The location is great most of the sights are in walking distance. Restaurant The food was good the staff was really kind.

For me the room was a bit noisy, the windows didn’t isolate the external sounds enough and there is life on the street in front of the hotel until 2-3 a.m. I had to buy earplugs from a pharmacy, which solved the issue, for the others this was not a problem. The washbasin was leaking a little bit. The toilet seat wasn’t properly mounted and was cracked, functionally was sufficient. The shower was a bit small. The above shower head was not in operational just the hand one. And the shower door was a bit hard to close and wasn’t sealing properly so some water got out always.

I travelled to Istanbul alone and for a woman this hotel is perfect! The location is strategic, very close to everything in the old town, walking distance to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Bazar, one of the oldest hammam.. the most important places to visit.. The Tram line is 5 minutes from the hotel as well. Very safe to walk to the holtel also in the night, with shops open until late and many nice restaurants, services, cafes. The hotel itself is linked to a very nice restaurant in the same building, and one evening when I was tired and I didn't want to search for a restaurant, I had dinner there and it was very good! The room was simple but clean, quite, and the bed very confortable, I slept very well. The staff was very very nice and ready to help! I felt at home and safe. I will return in this hotel next time!

The breakfast maybe could be improved, but it was ok..

Location was excellent with, room was comfortable, toilet and showers spacious and staff was very helpful. They organised and booked transport from airport (which is quite far away, about an hour) and vice versa and they were on time plus they booked for us a Bosphorus boat cruise too for us and experience was great.

Breakfast was very limited with limited choice (especially for people with allergies and/or chronic conditions) and we were not being provided with enough toilet amenities every morning when room was being made. We had to keep asking reception for these amenities frequently.

Great little hotel with perfect location, we simply walked to several main destinations. very friendly staff, nourishing free breakfast. The shower water is very hot, nothing is better than having a hot shower after coming back from the rainy and cold weather. That helped a lot. First day we got a small room next to the lift, somehow it was convenient. reception advised us to change it to the big one next day, we wanted but we unpacked plus we were going out early morning for a tour the next day, we felt like it was manageable then stayed where we were. During the rainy weather, we borrowed an umbrella from the reception, which it’s very handy. When we needed the cups in our room, receptionist brought us the cups. Very helpful.

Safe in the room 208 needs to be fixed, very important! ! it would be nicer if the toothbrush is provided, but it’s not a big deal.

I’m a doubting Thomas by nature, and so even though the ratings were very good for Hotel Grand Naki, I only pre-booked one night, choosing to extend rather than try to get a cancellation approved. This was not necessary; the very friendly staff made it a warm welcome, everything was ready, no hidden deposits, no long stories leading to higher prices - really, just a smooth, friendly process that was done quickly and efficiently. The room was adequately sized for accomodatiom in this price range, clean, comfortable beds and bathroom towels. Pillows (a variety so the right one can be found for any traveller), a great shower (we moved rooms 3 times not because of problems but because I kept extending by just one night at a time) and each room was as functional as the other. Also, in this area, the metro system is 2-3 min walk up the hill, opening up access to all of Istanbul from this great home base. The included breakfast was buffet style, and more than sufficient to set one up for a day of exploring. The friendly gentlemen at the concierge help with everything from sim cards to advising on trips and where to try local food etc. Also, the hotel has an elevator, which is a great advantage over many others here where one has to trek up stairs with suitcases. I’ve pinned this hotel to my google maps and will not bother looking at others for any future trips to Istanbul. Truly, very satisfied and most grateful for the service experienced here.

There wasn’t anything that raised an eyebrow here - clean, safe, helpful, good water pressure - what more could one ask for?

The hotel is great. Very good location, perfect service and very friendly and pleasant staff. Attention to any request at the reception and at every step. I especially want to mention the two guys (Bariş and Sedat) in the restaurant who made us feel like every time we were coming home after an adventurous day in the city. I can't remember all the names, but I want to thank all the hotel staff for the great welcome.

Located on a walking distance to many touristic attractions in Istanbul. Only 4 min walk to the metro and plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived they showed us two rooms and allowed us to chose the one we like most. They also gave us recommendations in navigating the city and were very helpful in helping us find my mother's phone which we lost at a cafe.

Shower could use some maintenence or deep clearning. Breakfast was just ok, some things get quickly empty but not immediately filled up.

The staff were all helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The adjoining restaurant served a scrumptious lamb stew the night before. Jet lagged we were able to walk safely out into a dark and rainy morning and see many of the local sights within half a mile of the hotel.

The room was a bit smaller than expected. The cost of traveling to and from the airport to a congested and complicated neighborhood offset the reasonable room price. I had planned to stay at the Grand Naki for an overnight stopover after a 3 week tour of Sicily, but a late night arrival made a stay closer to the airport more practical.

Unbeatable location and value for money, considering the neighborhood. We could be at the blue mosque in ten minutes and the tram station in four minutes.

1. A few points of miscommunication with the staff, possibly lost in translation or that came off as rude but probably weren't intended so. Subsequently I've realized that hospitality in Turkey is just different. 2. Please do your research before you buy a sim, book a taxi or tour with them, as they tried to charge us from 2x to up to 10x the real costs if you go and find out the real prices.
