Staff and location. Room was clean. Manager Ali was very entertaining and always helpful.

Device on key to slot into socket to activate electricity was faulty. The reception staff at check in advised us of this and said it had to be in certain position which we struggled with repeatedly. We were offered a room change on a day we were heading out for a tour- them shifting our gear which we didn’t want. When we returned from the tour I asked about the room change and was told not possible.Breakfast was good. Great bread and olives but need to get juice instead of a cordial type mix. Oranges were cheap and plentiful. The tv didn’t work for the week we stayed and got different stories about why. Some staff said all the tv s were faulty and other staff said it was just 2 tv s in the hotel. The repair man came on our last day as we were packing up.

The location and the staff. The location was very close to the several historic sites and the tram station. Staff (every single of them) were very friendly, hospitable and responsive. The reception staff speaks Russian, which was helpful in several occasions. We would like to thank Mr. Ravshan from reception, and the owner (I believe Mr. Ali) for warm and open hospitality. It definitely did not feel like I have overpaid for anything unlike in another hotel in the same neighborhood where I have stayed in my previous visit.

The location, perfect! Right in the centre of Sultan Ahmet, the views of the Mosque and the harbour from the rooftop terrace were just brilliant! There was a sufficient amount for breakfast, a mixture of cereal, some local dishes, tea coffee etc. The manager and his team we welcoming, down to earth and gave us some great ideas of places to go that weren't your typical tourist traps. We found the building quite calming which was great after a busy day walking through the hustle and bustle that is Istanbul. We noticed it was popular among female guests due to it feeling safe and calm - not something I'd normally mention but it's a huge compliment to the staff. The Mosque is within throwing distance of the hotel and you do hear the call to prayer throughout the day/night. I would imagine it's the same throughout the City so expect it.

Honestly, nothing. We had an idea of what we were expecting and it fulfilled everything. Would we stay there again, absolutely.

The hotel made our stay in Istanbul something special! The rooms are comfortable and with beautiful furniture made of dark wood and the air conditioning works well. The rooftop terrace overlooking the Sultanahmet/Blue Mosque seems like something out of a fairy tale. And we have never had friendlier staff in a hotel, they were exceptionally kind, full of useful tips and genuinely tried to make our experience (not just of the hotel, but of Istanbul as a whole) unforgettable!

The location was perfect. An easy walk to Grand Bazaar , Blue Mosque, Hagid Sophia , Arasta Bazaar and the hippodrome. From the roof top you can easily see the Blue Mosque across the little lane and at night its even more spectacular

My only complaint is that the bed had only a bottom sheet and a blanket and pillow. I asked for a top sheet to put under the blanket but it didn't happen during my 5 day stay and the staff didn't seen to understand why I needed a second sheet.

Location excellent right in centre of Sultanahmet next to Blue Mosque. Only downside of this is that so close to mosque that was woken each morning at 6am by call to prayer! Staff welcoming and helpful. Older style property but rooms very clean and comfortable. Lovely rooftop terrace with views across to Blue Mosque one way and sea to the other. Decent Turkish style breakfast buffet with as much tea/coffee as you want. Overall good value for money stay

As a family with two adult children we stayed six days (start of September 2023) at the SultanHill hotel next to the Blue mosque. I booked it for its traditional ottoman architecture style and very affordable price breakfast buffet included. We were stunned by the view on both Blue mosque and Bosphorus from the huge terrace on the fourth floor. The rooms were very clean and peaceful. Hotel manager speaks English and will give you an Istanbul map with the hidden places of interest. Istanbul is a wonderful city, very lively. Turkish people were helpful, respectful and honest (no problem whatsoever neither in Istanbul, Ankara or Göreme in Cappadoce). Christiane & family

Responsive staff, good value rooms in a historic building. The room decor complimented the history of the building. Nice breakfast that varied a bit each day. Only half a block to the Hippodrome.

Both rooms we booked had problems with the air conditioning. One had a finicky key slot to turn on the electricity, and the other room's air conditioning didn't work at all the first night. The staff did offer another room if needed, but were able to fix the problem. The twin room didn't have an outlet near the bed.

This is a beatiful hotel where to stay in Istambul. As soon as you cross the door, you have the Istambul vibes. The most important: the location, near by blue mosque, Aya Sophia, all sulthanamet… Also incredible breakfast! This hotel has an incredible terrace with blue mosque view…. Last but not least: all staff: the best. They give you a very familiar treatment… Price too good for a definitive 10/10 hotel.
