Great Location

The black recenptionist is kinda racist and discrminated me for being a trans/ladyboy. Told me to use fhe male restroom since my passport shows male. He could have suggested to use the all gender bathroom which is the one ive been using. His tone of voice is not friendly at all.

Perfect location on the walk of fame. Quite good breakfast, considering it’s included. Rooms are pretty big and comfortable, beds have curtains, there are also lamps and shelves for each person. Very good conditions for a reasonable price

Common toilets and showers, they are not in the room but on the floor.

Value for money, located right on Hollywood Bvld. Good breakfast

An unknown drunk woman entered the room the other morning and just claimed one of the beds, which at the time was still definitely used by someone else. Upon telling the management, they just said she was checked in (most likely in an other room) and everything was fine, although the bed was DEFINITELY IN USE BY SOMEONE ELSE. In the end one of us had to change beds, so we'd recommend the management to be more precise with the reservations.

It’s a nice hostel. I’ve stayed there before and it provides a great location for visiting Hollywood and universal studios for solo travellers.

It lacked the social vibe of some hostels in the common area

close to the main attractions in Hollywood.

nice location. close to public transportation like buses and subway. the staffs were so nice. bed was real comfy. worth every penny. totally recommend.

my second room kinda smelled like feet. the first one was better. although mixed gender rooms are close to the road, so it can be loud sometimes, especially in the morning. there was so much going on. but hey it’s hollywood walk of fame, you should already know that it’s gonna be loud. it was worth the price though. very cheap in a popular area. such a steal still

The Beverly Hills tour and the Hollywood Sign tour by Steve were amazing! Definitely recommend doing those.

I stayed in a 4-women dorm. I liked the beds had a curtain around the bunk for privacy. the rooms had ample space and a small tall thin locker for valuables. Everything bagels with peanut butter and jam available everyday. I didn't find the coffee until the final day... The side of the hotel I was on, wasn't too loud. The location was brilliant for Hollywood Hill hiking and the stars! Easy to find on the main street too.

More maps round the property, as I kept getting lost coming out of my dorm room. I didn't find the coffee in the other little kitchenet section until the final day... :D

The location of this hostel is good. I was hesitant initially to stay in an unknown hostel, but Samseun Hollywood was the best! I loved how clean the bathrooms and rooms were, the bedsheets were clean and washed. the cool bed lamp was super nice. The kitchen is open until midnight and you have clean vessels, so you can cook for yourself too! The metro station is just opposite the hostel. there is so much you can explore and enjoy, and at the same time head back home immediately, because you literally live right there! I do wish the gap between the bunker beds were a little wider, though. The person sleeping in the lower one would find it hard to sit on the bed, so just a little more head space would be great. other than that the hostel was worth it! I am so glad I chose this hostel and it will be my priority the next time I visit, I hope they have vacancies then as well!

The breakfast timings and the breakfast! there could be more varieties for breakfast, like, muffins, soup etc. instead of 7- 9, it would be great if they started at 6 because many times the people that come are students like me, so we would have to head out a little early! another experience I didn't like was the entrance to the hostel, each time I had to wait for them to let us in, rather, scan system of the room keys would be so much more convenient!

This was my first trip to Los Angeles. I wanted to experience everything that Hollywood had to offer. Right on the Walk of Fame, this location was the best. I had never stayed in a hostel before so this was a very new experience. Location, price, clean facility and friendly staff. Just great. Met visitors from around the world. We all accomplished our mission. Everyone was friendly. And it's right across from the Metro. Jose and others at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice. Room was clean and privacy is not a big issue due to pull curtains on beds and a separate dressing area in the 8 bed room.

Being in a room with a lot of people is fine however a plug in air freshener could come in handy. Would be nice if the Hostel used those to help rooms that have more than 4 people.
