I had an amazing stay! The staff were extremely friendly when I called to check what the latest time I could check in was. I even made a comment to my friend saying I have just spoken to happiest person on the other side of the phone. This was later continued when I arrived. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly! Making my stay even better, I was then informed that I had been upgraded from the single room to the executive suite. I had a lovely night staying there and was well rested before my exam the following day. Would highly recommend and I will definitely be returning.

Good location for exploring the city centre. It’s on the University campus, away from through roads, so it was quite peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Guests can use the University sports centre, including gym and pool, for free, which is a nice touch. There’s also secure paid parking close by, which was about a tenner a day.

Bit frustrating that the car park charging period is midnight to midnight, as you have to buy two whole days. It is a pretty good price though. Also, I’ve never had so many emails about a hotel booking in the run up to my stay! Most had broken or missing links too, so were a waste of time. Small gripes though, which wouldn’t put me off staying again.

The lady at reception was so lovely and welcoming, and was giving us suggestions of places to visit around the area. The room was clean and mostly quiet during our stay. The hotel is in a good location and a short walk to the centre. Although we didn't have the breakfast during our short stay, we did notice that they had a large range of vegan options which we were impressed by.

There was a lot of loud drilling on the morning that we were leaving coming from the room opposite. Thankfully we were leaving an hour later so it didn't bother us too much, but not ideal if we were staying longer. The room is quite warm and there is no aircon. We were able to get the windows open slightly but it did take some time to cool down. There was a strange sound, sort of like interference or similar, which seemed like it was coming from the smoke alarm in our room. It happened various times throughout the day, including the early hours of the morning which woke us up. Not sure what it was but something that the hotel need to look into. I didn't find the bed to be that comfortable, although my partner did so I guess that's just personal preference :)

The hotel receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful and gave excellent service. The hotel was within a few minutes walk from the city centre and train station so was very easy to navigate. The room was very spacious, clean and tidy. There was no aircon in the rooms however, a fan was provided for the warm weather which was a godsend! Although we didn't eat on site, the food served in the restaurant looked nice, especially the breakfast.

My room was opposite what I will describe as a service room/cupboard and very early in the morning I was awoken to banging and the doors slamming shut. Not ideal at 6.30 am. But other than that it was quiet a peaceful stay with no other noise to disturb me.

The staff were very helpful. I have mobility issues, and they upgraded my room - without me requesting it - to a room closer to reception/restaurant. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the standard facilities. It is in a central location with two restaurant/pubs very close by. The breakfast was delicious, and the options were comprehensive.

The parking was slightly awkward. I'm a bluebadge holder, and they arranged parking for me on site. It still meant walking around the back of the building to get to my car.

The room was comfortable and clean. Although it was not inner courtyard this was not a problem and was in fact an advantage in that there was some construction work in the courtyard over the summer. The dinner on the first night was very good and priced reasonably. The use of the swimming pool is a real bonus as it is easy to walk to it and is a very fine facility.

There is very limited food in the evening on Friday and the weekend. Cold food is the only available food and two of the items on the menu (out of 4 in total) were unavailable.

Beauty if rooms and provision of every essential facility including a shaving mirror and iron. Best was a deposit safe that was large enough for a laptop and other items. Location is brilliant, close to city centre yet removed so one explores area.

Better communication eg gym swimb and sauna are not within hotel area and access only is given to a 3rd party contractor facility within Univ site. Gym is fabulously kitted. Eg guests must take own towels and shampoo etc. Also gym don't answer phones. Guests have to book in advance. Best to visit and book in person else your break will end without receiving a return call for booking gym

The room was well appointed, clean, comfy bed and quite a good size. It included everything you need for a comfortable stay and what made things better than elsewhere is the mini fridge inside the wardrobe. It was also quiet with access to a water dispenser in the lift area on each floor. Access to the bedrooms' corridor through the room key card also ensure safety. The staff were all lovely and helpful and the food at the restaurant was very nice with cooked breakfast cooked on demand (no horrible powder scrambled egg). The restaurant was fairly peaceful with good arrangement for breakfast (even with a very large group of teenagers on day 1). Walking distance to the centre, on the Moor street station side. Would definitely use again.

The one drawback is access and parking arrangements if you are driving as the on-site carpark 12 is not free and quite a good walking distance away when you have a lot of luggage (which I did), so this means multiple trips back and forth. The directions to the carpark also did not align with Google Maps or the Sat Nav which was confusing. Maybe something to take up with Google Maps.

Booked for 1 night as I had a gig in Birmingham. Beautiful hotel - room was lovely and comfy, the bar and restaurant area also looked beautiful walking past - although I didn't make use of those areas I would if I visited again/had a longer stay. Good city centre area and considering you're on a uni campus it was quiet - I had the window open at night and heard nothing. Easy walk into the city centre itself and has an easy taxi point if needed. Tesco on campus was open till 11PM which is convenient if you're needing anything through the day/late at night. Steph who I spoke with on check in was amazing, very lovely and attentive. I really appreciated her. Check out was also nice and easy. All over extremely satisfied with my stay would highly recommend and if I am back in the city I would certainly look to book here again.

The room was warm, quiet and comfortable. It was close enough to walk into the city (10-15 mins) and the onsite gym is incredibly well stocked.

The shower cubicle was tiny. The sheer volume of emails and comms I got about the stay. Sooo many! Parking was charged per calendar day, this means you have to pay for TWO days to stay overnight. The hotel is also inside the clean air zone. I parked 10 minutes walk away, outside the clean air zone in the Adams street carpark £5.55 for 24 hrs! Bargain.
