Fantastic, quiet, peaceful and beautiful location. We were able to check in early and our room was excellent, very clean, with great facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly and provided fresh milk and water. They were also able to provide a charger for my EV at a good price which was very convenient and I was able to leave my car charging during the day. The breakfast was superb with a lovely table at the window looking out onto the fields. A lovely stay and I would recommend it.

It would have been helpful to have quick summary of the bedroom facilities including how the electronic blind worked on the velux window, which we only worked out in the morning, but it didn't spoil our sleep. Also, it took a moment to work out how to close the shutters and use the shower curtain in the ensuite.

The location is a lovely quiet rural gastro pub with accommodation in a separate building in the grounds. The rooms were tastefully decorated and of good size. Friendly staff and we will likely book again next time we go to visit the Thursford Christmas spectacular which is a 25 minute drive away.

Limited staff so the people serving in the bar or dining area of the pub also have to act as reception. To check out we had to go and find the girl who served us breakfast.

Lovely pub very ambient. Would like to see the fire lit as you walk in. Nothing bleaker than an empty hearth on a cold wet day. Really enjoyed our dinner,but it was just huge! A bit too much for us,but in saying that 100% times better than some of the minuscule meals we have been served ,while dining out recently. Our room was nice,and a lovely bathroom,but it would be nice to have had some side lamps for a more cosy feel.

Nothing particularly ,we did have someone else’s drinks on our bill,but these things happen,and the member of staff dealt well with it. (Hopefully they got the money from whoever the Glenfidich and the gin were for 🤦‍♀️)

The pub is a typical country pub but the dining rooms were decorated to a very high standard and were very good taste in my opinion - it was obvious a lot of thought had gone into the design of everything. The two rooms we booked in the purpose built buildings outside the pub were beautiful with great attention to detail. The gardens and outside areas were beautifully looked after and so the whole site is very attractive and appealing, Lovely staff - all extremely helpful and friendly

Pub and garden looks lovely and spacious. The evening dinner was excellent. Staff very attentive, relaxed and friendly.

Breakfast was disappointing and unwelcoming. Single staff was flustered and inattentive. As far as coffee and tea goes. I don't mind making my own tea, but not faffing around with flasks with water too cold in it to make a decent cuppa or heat a tea pot up first. Set up an urn and good coffee machine instead, please.

Stayed in the 'Hunny' room, which is spacious and nicely presented. The bed is huge and wonderfully firm. The food we enjoyed on the night of our arrival was excellent. No cooked breakfast available on Monday or Tuesday mornings, the 'continental' breakfast option was okay, nothing special.

The 'continental' breakfast option was nothing special. A single cup of coffee was offered, with no offer or facilities to refill. Also the cheese/meat/fruit platter was served too cold - direct from the fridge.

Staff friendly and helpful at all levels - excellent breakfast and excellent quality and food presentation in the restaurant. New Years Eve and quality bar snacks were freely provided. Plenty of parking. Complimentary drinks, sweet treats and fresh coffee making facilities in the room - excellent touch.

For the price being charged for rooms and the overall quality of the rooms we felt that the following should be provided - dressing gowns, hanging wardrobe space, usb charging points. A complimentary bottle of bubbly was provided, but it was warm and it would have been nice if it was chilled so we could drink it. Complimentary toiletries very nice, but body lotion would have been appreciated. Wifi was free, but only available in the main building - it would not connect in the rooms which was frustrating as it was NYE.

Our stay at The Brisley Bell was an absolute pleasure, the Inn, staff, restaurant, food and accommodation were all first class. We would stay here again without hesitation. The warm fires and Christmas decorations made the atmosphere even better - particularly as storm Darragh was raging outside!

There isn't anything negative to say about our stay.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Brisley Bell and again we found everything to be of a very high standard. The rooms are lovely, clean, comfortable and very well decorated. The staff are absolutely lovely and the food in the restaurant is excellent. The gardens are beautifully maintained. We took our dog so stayed in a pet friendly room. It was cleaned to a very high standard. They even leave a bowl with dog treats in it and a towel for him.

Could leave a couple more biscuits for us!!

Homely, cosy, excellent food (except last breakfast - see below). Staff friendly and very professional. Bed excellent and room lovely. Complementary bottle of 🍾 was a nice touch on New Years Eve. Great location for our needs, near to all the places you may want to visit. Meals in the restaurant were exceptional, innovative and expertly executed. Top marks to the chef. Good choice for breakfast and an excellent full English.

Wifi was next to non-existent so had to use my mobile as a hotspot. Not really acceptable in 2022/23. Wasn't aware that it was only a continental breakfast on our final morning and were a little disappointed in the one supplied considering the cost of the room. It was our only (minor) disappointment on the food front during our whole stay.
