Excellent hotel with beautiful rooms and spaces, including a lovely courtyard separating the rooms from the reception. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant, where the food was delicious and well presented. They even had an alcohol-free beer on draught which was very much appreciated.

The pool and gym cost extra, which I don’t think is that obviously advertised, if advertised at all. The gym equipment is also somewhat outdated, particularly the cardio equipment. Last entry for both the pool and the gym is at 8:15pm, which is quite inconvenient when travelling for work. On the whole, the restaurant was good, but slightly on the expensive side for what it is. You can expect three courses for two people to run you around £120 with the pre-added tip.

Very very quiet, which was perfect. No noise after bar closed despite having a ground floor room. Room clean and tidy, plenty of hot water and good shower.

I was very surprised that the breakfast wasn't particularly special. Quality of food wasn't great. With all the local farms in that area, it would have been nice to have quality local produce such as the sausages, bacon and eggs. I've had better for less cost at my local garden centre. The bed! It is difficult to please everyone but, wow, very hard. A little give would have been nice or maybe a thick topper.

A lovely hotel I stay in regularly. Pool and gym wonderful and the whole hotel is modern, clean and keep to an impeccable standard. Rooms are always clean and staff friendly.

Having stayed here for a number of years I have noticed the value for money reduce over time - gym and pool now an extra charge, breakfast now an extra charge. ends up being much more expensive than it's worth

The bedroom was lovely and really clean, the bed was incredibly comfy. The fridge in the bedroom is a good size and a brilliant benefit. The white company products in the room are a wonderful touch.

The spa was disappointing, the heated pool and bubble pool were cold. The bubble pool has a strange concept as you’re just sitting on the floor which felt quite dirty. The first night we also ate in the sports bar which we didn’t enjoy. It’s a lovely area to sit with friends so we thought we could grab some dinner in there as it was getting quite late. We were a table of 4 and 3 plates of food were brought out but the 4th meal which was a pizza seemed to have been forgotten about. The other 3 had almost finished their dinner by the time the pizza was brought out, It was also overcooked which put us off of eating in there again.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are so nice and friendly! I believe one called lara went above and beyond to accommodate us, the food was lovely and you could move freely around the hotel as you please with drinks etc without feeling lile you have to stay put, the room was spacious and the grounds is just so lovely, definitely recommend & will definitely come back 😊

The only downer is some of the pricing on drinks & food , we chose the sports bar menu over the brasserie for this reason, however drinks generally are a little expensive

The area is beautiful. Sitting outside it is so peaceful I used to do aqua fit there before the pandemic, so know it well.

The bathroom had no normal taps, and the diagram in the visitors book is nothing like what was on the walls.There was no body lotion, and the products there were attached to the wall some 6ft up on the wall. I got stuck in the bath, but the housekeeping team,one had worked as a carer and knew exactly what to do. The reception team was very kind and helpful. I asked if there were walk-in showers, and they were on the 1st floor and up 1 5 stairs with no lift.

Bed was sensational again - the most comfortable I've slept in of any hotel I've visited. Spa and fitness facilities are excellent. Dinner was very nice.

Only complaint - decor needs updating (somewhat stuck in the 90s), and the premises could do with a bit of an upgrade to match the excellent service and facilities.

The location was rural, even though the hotel was at full occupancy it still felt quiet and peaceful. The Spa treatments were lovely, that area felt modern, contemporary, and the staff were very professionally.

The pool area felt dated, old brick work and ceiling and didn’t quite offer a 4 star spa experience. The bathroom felt unloved and needed updating. The taps for adjusting the water temperature were peeling, silicone around the bath wasn’t applied very well and still looked grubby.

Had a lovely weekend stay. We will be back. Food was lovely and everywhere was very clean and well looked after. Staff were friendly and helpful.

For the price I would have thought the pool and sauna would be included in your stay but that was extra.

Clean, staff where friendly, breakfast was fabulous, room was lovely with a garden view. The only thing that was disappointing was we had to pay a extra fee for the facilities at the hotel. That should be included when staying. The swimming steam and sauna where nice but not great. Could do with updating

The only thing I could say is the extra expense to use the facilities. The facilities gym,swim, steam, sauna ect is the only thing that let the hotel down as it isn’t that great it’s small and busy. It is not the best and the hotel guests should be able to have access without extra charge. If it was something special then maybe needs updating
