Location was perfect. Very close to groceries, several restaurants and bus to go to the city center. 25min if walking to the city center. Street parking is free from 5:30pm to 8am weekdays and all day on weekends. You can pre-pay in the evening to cover the morning before you get up :-) Parking at Ocean Terminal (10 min away) is free and bus is available there, if you need to move the car during the day. Enjoyed the outdoor space in the back, small but very appreciated!

The room was below floor level (but it did have a "window" with natural light from above which did work). There was no fridge. But Edinburgh is expensive, so it was still a good deal. I'd stay there again.

Very fairly priced for the location. Lovely man on reception. Nice staff all round. Room was small but clean and comfortable enough. Very good for the money. No food or bar facilities but only a walk to the top road where so many places to eat. Ideal location for seeing the britannia yacht at ocean village where you can also park for free. We walked to.and from the main town on 2 days.. Number 11 bus stop is right outside hotel. Every 20 mins .

No permit available for parking. You have to pay for on street via machine and can only stay maximum of 4 hours. £ 3.90 per hour. Traffic wardens are plentiful too.

It was affordable, clean with a nice bathroom. Rooms are small but well designed as you you can put your suitcases under the beds. We were given a single bed and a double bed when we had bought a twin room which was an added bonus. Kettle, mugs, cups, spoons and good hairdryer provided. It was a very straight walk into the city centre, easy for tourists.

There are lots of stairs to the top floor. The room became stuffy easily but we had a big ceiling window which we opened to air it.

Staff is good and friendly. We got super clean room and comfy beds. Had sofa/tv in our room in good condition. Our luggage was kept before checkin so that we could explore the city without carrying heavy load. Overall very good stay.

We got the basement room where we didn't have any view but okay with the price we paid. Only thing didn't like is when asked for upper floor rooms, got the reply saying we were late so all taken but actually we reached much early and they said rooms were not ready. Also, if booked via booking.com then it should have been reserved.

First time in the city and found the best place to stay for a night! I only regret not booking it for my entire trip as there was no vacancy earlier. The place is adorable, the room is spotless, and the bathroom is clean and well-stocked with all the essentials. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay even better. I would choose this place again and again whenever I visit Edinburgh!

Just the checkout as there was no one at the desk so if you gotta keep bags after checkout its a bit tricky

Location suited me. A bit rough around the edges with decor and fit-out but my room on the first floor was clean, quiet and warm. Plenty of room. Good water pressure and temperature in the shower. This is no frills value for money.

Pillows were a bit hard and mean. Also I reported an issue with the shower drain being blocked and this was not fixed during my stay. (To be fair I was offered a change of room immediately, but this did not suit me.)

Last minute booking as our flights changed. This was a good option, and better than hostels. We had privacty, room was good and the neighborhood was quiet. Bus stops everywhere. This place did not show right away in my searches, i stayed in an airbnb prior. so had i known i wouldve booked this from the start. Near the city center, good price and Receptionist was nice

Our room smelled like cigarettes but the place had no smoking signs everywhere. So not to blame the staff/management.

The room was big and has big windows where you can overlook the road. Beds were comfortable and cleaner always clean the room. Soaps were provided. Can leave bags before check-in and even after check-out which is really helpful when flight is still at night so we were able to go around still the city area. Bus stop is also near the area around 1 min walk towards city centre.

The room is a bit dim but tolerable and reception is not available even around 9am/10am so waited for the cleaner in order to raise our concern. But I am not sure if it is just because it was weekend.

Clean and tidy hallway entrance. Reception staff were informative about the stay and check out. Was a cold day but we arrived just 30mins from booking so the heating had not kicked in but assured by the reception it would be on shortly which it was. A good budget room to get some sleep and central to the town. Clean white bedding and comfy mattress and pillows.

For the cost i don't think i could say anything negative that would be a fair comment.

reception and cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. The room was in the with a great skylight to see across the city - watched the Edinburgh tattoo firework display from here. Comfy beds and clean spacious bathroom with a great shower. There is a bus stop outside the hotel. Bus number 11 runs frequently and takes you right into the centre - cheap and great service.

the room was on 2nd floor - not a big issue but the last flight of stairs are steep and quite narrow with spiraled steps - wouldn't suit anyone with mobility problems. A mirror and additional plug socket in the bedroom would have been helpful but not a great issue.
