Thіs Atlas Guest House is located within walking distance of Edinburgh's lively historic areas. The location itself is quiet and safe. The friendly Management are always glad to help to the best of their ability to improve the accommodation for their guests. If it is chilly, the heating is turned on at night which is very good. There was a kettle and all tea and coffee making facilities in the room, as well as delicious biscuits. There is a microwave and a fridge in the common area: this is very comfortable.

My single room did not have a new and fresh look. The furniture could be called antique, but it was really old. The common areas (corridor, stairs and hallway) were nice though. (I guess I just didn't get the best room at this Guest House.)

I have no other than positive comments. Meryam received us so gently and ready to make our stay comfortable, immediately syncing on our needs as a family specially contemplating that we had (young) kids with us. The location is fantastic, just a couple of minutes walk from many important city historical points, the room size was great with a lot of attention to detail.

The room was spacious with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The location was a 5-10 minute walk from the Theatre and St James Quarter, which was really good for us. There are a couple of restaurants and bars across the road, which was very handy. Tea/coffee/milk/sugar and biscuits were replenished daily, and can I just say...the salted car amel shortbread was an absolute treat! Thank you!

Due to the house being an old building there was only 1 plug socket for the kettle and the tv, so we had to put the kettle on the floor to make tea/coffee when the tv was on. Again, the high ceilings made the room feel cold (along with the shocking temperature outside), but although the heating system was on all day and night (thank you!) the room still felt cold.

Ajaz greeted us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. Very friendly and helpful. The location in historic New Town was unbeatable - a lovely quiet street, 15-20 min walk from Old Town, close to lots of attractions and public transit (including the tram to/from the airport), and just around the corner from excellent pubs and trendy restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. The room was clean and a great size. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

The only minor hangup was the bed, which was a little uncomfortable - however this was vastly outweighed by how great the hosts were and all the other benefits of the listing.

Wonderful location, 10 minutes walk to the city centre and yet very quiet at night. Everything in the city was in walking distance from the hotel, and if walking is a struggle, there are bus stops just a couple hundred meters away. On arrival, I was met at the door by a very welcoming man, who carried my suitcase down the stairs and showed me to my room. Just outside the room was a microwave and fridge which was a lovely unexpected bonus. Daily housekeeping and after checkout, luggage storage for free. what is not to like? Absolutely lovely stay and will be coming back next time I'm in town.

Nothing was bad, but a couple of things to mention, there was no soap in the toilet (it was a shared toilet) only shampoo and the room was looking a little tired with the wallpaper torn etc although clean. The TV in the room I stayed as not very watchable with the angle it was put on the wall and the surrounding furniture. But I just watched my tablet. Nothing that would out me off coming again

The staff. Accidentally, I booked a room with a shared bathroom. This was a problem for me since I have a condition that affects my tummy. Staff upgraded me to ensuite room for free. Kind and considerate. I had a chance to talk with the manager talking about this and that. Interesting and friendly. A very good guest house

Quite location, you can walk to the town centre although the walk is uphill and takes maybe 15 mins.

It was very cold even with the heating on as there were only 2 small radiators for a huge family room and the head of the beds were against the massive windows. The toilet was hard to get into as the walls of the spiral staircase on the lobby was there blocking access, you can barely squeeze into the space to use the toilet.

Fantastic location; you can easily reach tourist attractions. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. Big thanks to Maryam & Ajaz, they’re so kind and welcoming. The price/value is excellent, especially in Edinburgh.

The interior design has an authentic feel. While it’s not essential, a slight refurbishment of the rooms could enhance the experience further.

The owners were very lovely. Our plane landed quite early and we were with a baby and a huge luggage. Meryam agreed to take our bag, so that we could find some breakfast while our room was getting ready. She also made sure that we got to check in a bit earlier than usual. The location is good: walking distance from the tram to the airport and the city center. Despite the distance our room was nice and quiet - woke up to birdsong from the garden. The walls were a bit thin (we could hear someone's baby a bit), but it's understandable in an old house. Room was clean, shower had nice hot water and there was a tea/coffee making option in the room.

The room was a bit chilly in the morning, but it wasn't a big deal for us. We also had some trouble with the wifi.

The location is great, very close to pubs and Edinburgh city centre, there was no problem getting there from the airport - even at night. The building is beautiful, very atmospheric, the room looks like a dormitory at Hogwarts, while being very clean (cleaned daily!), cozy and comfortable. We got to the main attractions on foot. The contact with the owner was great, the owner himself is a very friendly, hospitable and helpful person.

The bathroom is small and if you are a big man you may have trouble using it. For us it was ok, but it took some gimnastics:)
