Nicely refurbished pub/bed & breakfast facility. Really great beers on tap at low prices that we Londoners could not comprehend. Excellent staff and very friendly locals sharing the bar with us. The breakfast was local produce, high quality, and nothing was too much trouble for four of us all with different requests.

The chef was off-duty so not food on the Tuesday evening but not really an issue as we went to an excellent local Thai cafe where the food was freshly cooked.

The very friendly and helpful staff. A very good base to explore more of the area. The food was great and as the restaurant is closed on a Sunday evening they let us bring in a takeaway meal and eat in in the restaurant.

Nothing that would stop us visiting again, the only slight concerns were that our room was looking a little tired and could be improved with a paint freshen up, supplying a long mirror and perhaps another bedside table.

The Swan Hotel has its own residential parking which was ideal. Room was cosy and the staff nice and friendly.

I think the hotel could have informed us in advance that they had an event that Saturday evening and that the restaurant was closed. We only heard about this whilst checking-in and asked if the restaurant was open. Fortunately the Burton Hotel restaurant just down the road was open on Saturday and Sunday

The breakfast could have been better; the sausage and black pudding were pretty poor quality and the fried egg was overdone.

A number of items on the evening menu were not available but that only became clear when we ordered. That was a bit annoying.

No dressing table with mirror, so difficult to style hair or put on make up. The mirror in the bathroom was tinted so couldn’t use it for the above. We dropped shower head down to shoulder height, this caused the water to run cold. We were not informed of this and there was no explanation in the room.

Attractive period property close to centre of nice town. Parking, Spacious corner room (twin) with windows to front and side. Popular and well run bar and restaurant area. Attentive and 'hands on' owner assisting with service of good and reasonably priced food. Nice breakfast. Another enjoyable evening on the Offa's Dyke Path

An observation really: The grey carpet on the stairs and landing is perhaps not very practical in a hotel that will attract walkers and the room could have done with something like a tray for muddy boots.

Vey friendly welcome by the young lady behind the bar when I arrived. Lovely choice of food for evening meal, and nothing was too much trouble to accommodate my requests. Food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Staff were also most helpful and attentive. Likewise breakfast. The young man was very friendly, and my request for only scrambled eggs and baked beans, without toast was not a problem. I would definitely stay here again if in the area, and would recommend to friends.

Friendly staff, remembered from last time we stayed and generally is just a nice cosy place.

Overall very good with no complaints... If I was being picky the room could do with minor maintenance, I. E. Touch of paint etc I would class it as used but still the rooms are more than adequate and nice and cosy and it really isn't an issue at all. Just giving an honest review.

I arrived early but was able to check in straight away by a friendly staff member. Staff enabled us to have a meeting at short notice on premises. Evening meal (I am a veggie - great choice for a 'Steak House') and breakfast very good.

I was a singleton in a double room. Plenty of space for me but maybe 'cosy' for a couple.

Excellent breakfast. Service and hospitality was fantastic. All staff very helpful and welcoming. Rooms absolutely spotless, great quality bedding and towels, toiletries available. Well stocked bar and restaurant meals very high quality with a great choice. Will absolutely stay again. Thank you so much xx
