The Rockfoot B&B was in the heart of the Campsie Dells and centrally located for our trips to Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Sterling, The Devil’s Pulpit, Glasgow and points south and east. Moira was a perfect host and a good cook. As many of our stays we chose this for its remote location away from cities and it is very much a working farm with a very large flock of sheep. Our room was excellent and everything was perfectly clean. Moira took time to answer many of our questions and made us feel at home. This is an excellent place to stay for a Holiday, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again.

No complaints... none.

Moira was an exceptionally warm and friendly host. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious with views of the surrounding rural countryside. Best night's sleep had in last 10 days...the bed was super comfortable. The spacious ensuite provided us with the necessary toiletries plus a few bonuses. A varied english continental breakfast, including fresh fruit, combined with the option of a true scottish hot cookup, was more than ample to provide sustenance for our travel day ahead. The property also provided private and secure off-street parking bay. A wonderful homely atmosphere...we did not want to leave!

Absolutely nothing. About a 30 min drive to Stirling along narrow winding country roads might determine your choice....but it's worth it.

Moira was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was excellent with a large selection of cereal, fruit and a full cooked breakfast (including haggis!) setting us up very well for the day ahead. The family room was spacious, comfortable and clean. I’ve never seen such a huge variety of teas, coffees and hot chocolates (along with Border biscuits) in a room ever!! The location was beautiful. The surrounding area was so peaceful, and the scenery was stunning. We took advantage of the outdoor seating area to enjoy a lovely summer’s evening and it was a joy. If we are in the area again, we won’t even consider staying anywhere else but Rockfoot B&B.

Location is a bit rural, just over a mile walk to the only pub. (Food in pub mediocre and a little on the expensive side) So maybe an idea to eat before arriving. Accommodation is accessed by a rather steep tarmac onto gravel drive which was a challenge on our motorbikes, however would be alright for cars etc. Host made us more than welcome, clean comfy beds and excellent variety of teas, coffees etc were available. Breakfast was superb. Thank you for your kind hospitality we will be back to visit you again :)

The weather :(

Excellent kitchen facilities, every where was very clean, plenty of parking, room very compact.

It would be harsh to say there was anything wrong with the property, but if I had to pick something it would be the seats, but they were so beautifully made and flipped over into the bed

This was a working farmhouse with all the accompanying magic associated with that.....beautiful rural landscape etc. Moira ( the hostess) was exceptional to us in every way. She gave us the most unbelievable breakfast and we had a fabulous chat with her before we departed, which we really appreciated. Her home was just unbelievable. It had every comfort and facility. Her next guests were arriving a few hours later than expected and she gave us that extra time to get ready for our wedding ( putting on the clothers, doing the hair, makeup etc!! ). That was so kind of her! We would wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse .....and we will definitely return to stay on our next holiday in Scotland.

Nothing could be improved.....everything was perfect.

Moira, was extremely friendly and accommodating. My sister and I stayed one night, Moira kindly allowed us to book in, outside the booking in slot, with prior notice. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, facilities were excellent. The area is beautiful.

Nothing.

A friendly, comfortable B&B with an excellent breakfast. (Be aware there is no mobile phone signal at the property, but that is clearly not a criticism of the B&B).

Nothing to dislike.
