Loved the location The room was simple perfectly clean exactly right for overnight
Parking could be a problem there is limited space in front of Crosskeys I travelled with my dog and I think the Chef? Who dealt with breakfast either objected to my dog, who was perfectly behaved throughout. Or he just felt he could be somewhat unfriendly towards me, he was notably more friendly towards another couple that came in to breakfast . … minus dog. A minor miff but it’s a thing that you remember.

I mixed the dates up and they were very accommodating. Ian gave us a lovely welcome , he offered to help with bags and told us everything we needed to know without having to ask. The room was spotless with good quality fittings. It also had beautiful views from both windows. Very comfortable. The pub was cosy and the food second to none. We had a walk around the village, it too was lovely. A proper Scottish breakfast, black pudding , haggis and fruit pudding included, a rarity these days.
Couldn't fault the cross keys

Quaint historic inn with modern bedroom amenities. Ground floor pub maintains the old feel. Many locals eating there. Food was exceptional quality and menu offers more than just basic pub fare. Bedrooms and ensuite were comfortable and provided plenty of space. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and offered many traditional scottish choices. Located in a small quiet village with a short, easy drive to Stirling city center. Definitely would use again.

Pub with newly refurbished ensuite rooms that are not over the busy bar. So they are quiet and peaceful. We ordered breakfast the previous evening and it was well cooked and plenty enough. The host and the staff, were friendly, welcoming and helpful as wree some of the locals we chatted to in the bar.
Nothing the hotel could do about the midges when we went outside for beer.

We liked the properties location and character. Really cosy and intimate setting. Pub/Restaurant downstairs was such a friendly atmosphere and dog friendly. Staff were welcoming and approachable and made us feel very at home. Beds were comfy and room was equipped with everything we needed to accommodate our stay. Breakfast in the morning was exceptional and service was brilliant. We were here for a wedding in Fintry and The Cross Keys was the perfect place to stay and made our weekend away that little bit more special.

The breakfast was excellent. And Kippen was easy to reach and suitable to further visits in the area. My only problem was that I was cold in my room overnight. However, I think I will be back in the future.
The heating in the room. My friends were fine but I had not been told how to adjust the heating, or perhaps I was not so technically inclined.

The Inn was really quaint and lovely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Both our evening meals and breakfast were great; good sized portions and delicious - my husband said it was the best breakfast he'd had! Our room was perfect, very comfy bed and good shower. Would definitely stay again when in the Stirling area.

Chosen for the location The Cross Keys was perfect for our 5 night festival stay. Room was as described and had a lovely view. Host and staff were great, very relaxed but efficient if you needed anything. Breakfast was individually prepared from guests pre selection and was tasty and well cooked. The small dining area made it easy to chat to other guests if, as we did, that is something you enjoy. Although out most of the time this very old Pub is atmospheric and we enjoyed trying the local whiskey. Kippen is a lovely little place with another good Pub and a friendly local shop.
Nothing really.

Food was all excellent - the setting was homely with some nice quirky touches. The accommodation was to a good standard and although it had no desk the owner provided a desk and table so I could work.
TV reception wasn't brilliant but apart from that it was very comfortable.

The building is plenty of vintage charm, the décor (common areas and bedroom) is cozy and the staff so welcoming... not to mention the lovely dog! They have a deliciuos restaurant with yummy plates and tempting beers. The garden is very pleasant too. Even if it is only a small village, strolling in Kippen is wonderful!
Absolutely nothing to complain about!
