We had to divert 150 miles due to a road closure and dudnt arrive until after 10pm. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating. They waited for us patiently, directed us in, showed us our room, breakfast room, bathroom/shower facilities even though how late it was. The shower is epic! The while place is spotlessly clean. The scenery is epic! The owners are awesome and full of information of where to go and what to do. We literally can't fault this amazing B&B. The B&B is in the countryside, but 10 minutes away we found an amazing place to see wild dolphins jumping
Being very picky, the twin beds were slightly hard but nothing to moan about at all.

A very peaceful location that was easy for us to find with the clear instructions provided by Steve & Fiona. Our twin room was spacious and the beds were very comfy, with its own private Bathroom just along the corridor, all kept beautifully clean. Breakfast was served cooked to order in the breakfast room with other guests, the tables are nicely spaced. Plenty of parking is available at the property The Black Isle was the perfect start to our NC500 trip and Hillhaven is a lovely B&B property, A little gem with friendly hosts and Broxy the family dog.
Nothing not to like!

We had a cosy stay and received a very warm welcome upon arrival. My partner enjoyed his breakfast tremendously, I slept in as I was unwell. The beds were very comfortable. There is nothing nicer when you travel than receiving a warm welcome, and a clean bed to sleep in. The bathroom that comes with the bedroom was large, and newly refurbished.
We enjoyed our stay, and wouldn't have changed anything. It was easy to find the lodge, and all was as expected. There is a lovely homely feel to the place, with lots of parking space available.

The hosts where amazing and the quality of the accomodation was outstanding. The House was perfectly placed and the view was amazing. The room and the bathroom were stunning and you felt very welcomed. We ran out of fuel, and weren’t able to get to the nearest gas station, so the hosts even helped us by giving us some fuel. The breakfast was also awesome and we got to choose what we would like for breakfast and when we Wanted to eat. There was a lot to choose from. Absolutely amazing experience, 110% recommended! - Jacob
There was nothing to dislike, Highly recommended!

Beautiful location, quiet, rural, calm. Long views over the Black Isle farmlands. Room was spacious and comfortable, we slept well and the shower was invigorating. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Fiona and Steve could not have been more welcoming.
Not a thing. If I had to improve it somehow, a hanging rail for clothes in the room would be useful. I really can't think of anything else. We so enjoyed our stay.

the owners were very nice and friendly people, greeted us warmly in their house. rooms were nice and clean. location is a little bit further from the village/town but there's nice views and it does have a very "homely" feel to it. breakfast was warm and very good. you can see dolphins in the bay!!!
it's only a little further from the village, you'll have to go by car and it's not so easy to go for dinner there as you do need reservations and some places close early in the evening but the property owner was so kind and he called a really nice hotel about 15minute drive away and made us some reservations and it was honestly the best dinner we enjoyed in Scotland :-)

Stunning location (though a bit remote), with incredible views. The hosts are lovely people & we got great local recommendations from them. It was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good as well. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely stay again. Cute dog and a cat there as well!
The remote location means single track roads & quite a few potholes on the way, but just drive carefully and you’ll be fine!

Lovely location on a hillside outside the village. We didn't have a view (just a velux window) but we were only there for a night so it was fine. Facilities in the room were great - tea/coffee/biscuits and toiletries in our en-suite bathroom. The hosts were lovely, very friendly and helpful with advice on places to visit. We were made very welcome and enjoyed our short stay. Breakfast choices were very good and portions plentiful. The dog was adorable. :)
We were trying to get to sleep about 11pm and there was quite a noise which I think was other guests having showers. Just felt it was a bit late for this, but I guess the hosts can't restrict when you shower.

Steven and Fiona make you feel very welcome and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. The location is fantastic, making you feel like you are deep in the middle of the countryside when in actual fact Fortrose town is just 5 mins down the hill. Their lovable Jack Russell dog Broxy is really friendly and the rooms are very cosy and spotlessly clean. We would stay in Hillhaven, when visiting the area again, for sure!

Lovely and warm couple that runs the B&B, Fiona and Stephen, with a very cute little dog. The room had an excellent bed and shower and in the mornings there was a delicious breakfast. The hosts knew many nice places in the area that we could visit, which was very helpful. For us it’s certainly a place to visit again!
