Excellent value compared to other B&B/Guest House accommodation in Inverness. Only £2-£4 more per night than nearby hostels. Upgraded to a twin bedded room. Modern en suite. Good size cozy room. Nicely presented continental breakfast with good choice included. Lighting good. Plenty of electric sockets. Free WiFi. Convenient location. Not noisy. Quite clean overall. Receptionist lady friendly. Soft chair in room. Tourist information in the room. Bed & bedding comfortable. No evidence of bed bugs. Thick pile tartan carpet. Extra convector heater. Room décor good.

Minor issues that are not particularly significant at this price point and would not deter me from returning: reception often not manned; room window opening/closing mechanism faulty; shower drain plug blocked; guest smoking in a room set fire alarm off at 4.30am - hotel not at fault.

Amazing door, stairs and everything else, all made well and going to last for a very long time. I absolutely loved being here and shed a tear when I had to leave.. Everyone was swimmingly helpful t wish I didn't have to leave, however, my plane flight was imminent and had to sojourn. Kettle abound, spacious shower with all the amenities included. Will be back e, and visiting them, post haste!

I had a time negotiating my way about the land, however loved it all the same, lovely people and surroundings. A must see and visit if you should find your way there!

Of course, the location is great in middle of the town ! The workers in charge ( Brandon, Carol, Robert) were also very nice. They arranged everything so i can get a better room and easily extend my stay. The private room instead of a dorm for that price was really appreciated ! The breakfast had some extras that i haven’t found anywhere( some pastries, fruits, differents types of cereals and even cenovis) for such price.

Rooms are usually quiet but we can feel sometimes some vibrations when the washing machine is on (in late morning) and noises from outside in early night. It is of course not the fault of the people (more the location and age of building) and depending on the location of the room, which you could ask for change to minor these possible pertubations. The curtains could be a bit more covering. Apart for that, great stay and the accommodation deserves a better grade.

Proximity to train station; room very comfortable and lovely caring receptionist who went the extra mile when she realised I had asthma- instead of me going further upstairs, she arranged for me to stay in a double room on the same floor as reception. That was very kind of her & was really appreciated.

I couldn’t get the hot water to work. Had I stayed longer as intended, I’d have alerted reception and im sure it would have been sorted. However i had to leave early due to a family emergency.

My mom and I stayed one night in Inverness as we did a tour of the Jacobite and the highlands. We had a private bath and room. The room was comfortable, and the bed was BIG. It was clean as well. The staff was SUPER NICE. It is SUPER close to the train station and the market across the street. Inverness is a beautiful, small town. 7/10 hotel. (Also across pubs)

Of course, there are reviews and comments about seagulls. And yes. There are seagulls that will make noise throughout the night, but hey...it didn't ruin the experience. My mom tried to grab some of the breakfast for a quick to-go, and the comments were true about the stale bread. However, she said she spotted some weird spots on the oranges.

The hotel is the one 1 I will stay in in Inverness the staff r totally amazing they give more than they should with the way they are treated by management the owner needs to pay staff more sort the decoration out instead of buying more hotels

The bedding is in real 100% of changing it's dirty smelly and some was disgusting holes in quilts and horrible stains on pillows ect it needs him to give the head house keeper manager lady some money to buy nice newvlesn ones that's all it needs Staff r the best and i love them all they go beyond and above every time i go there

Robert!! Very personable, super helpful and a master at keeping everything perfect and clean and tidy at breakfast. Very likeable. The continental breakfast was probably the best I’ve seen, huge variety to choose from, all fresh and plenty available.

The curtain!! One single curtain, not fully attached to the rail, not fully covering a window looking out to the street 😤. And there was no no mirror in the bathroom. Unfortunately, my room had the bus stop outside and is on the main route, it seems, for late night revellers, making sleep repeatedly disturbed. That’s not the Waverley’s fault it was just unfortunate.

When we arrived at the hotel we had a slight technical hitch with the room wifi and tv , so Robert very kindly upgraded us over to the apartments. They are really very nice. The apartment is located in the town centre so not quiet if thats your thing, we wanted central and everything was on the doorstep. Was comfortable and clean and had everything you'd need. Couldn't fault it at all. Made my husbands birthday trip all the better so thanks again to Robert, we had a fantastic long weekend.

This boutique hotel is beautiful and set in what may well be the most beautiful village in Scotland. The staff are extremely caring and the standards are very high. The food is magnificent - the chef puts love into the food because you can literally taste it. Overall best place and best value for money we stayed in in Scotland.

There was nothing that I did not like or was unhappy with. However, if there was, I believe that the people at this place would have addressed it.

Very friendly warm staff! We were only staying for 1 day to visit family and sightseeing Inverness and Isle of Skye and then the storm hit Dundee , Scotland and we booked an extra 4 days. Lucas at the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable! The hotel breakfast is very nice and it is a very clean hotel! I love how they have a Chinese restaurant connected to the hotel. Great food! Looking forward to booking at the Waverley Guesthouse in the near future for when I make trips to Inverness with my two daughters , when we visit family. Thank you to the staff. With love and appreciation Catherine Zanetis and little Marianna and little Bojidara!
