Spotlessly clean room, very spacious with useful additions such as light on the closet, ambient lighting and iron with ironing board. The bathroom was also immaculate and the shower was very comfortable with a very fast response on the hot/cold water. The bed was very comfortable and the room had very good sound insulation. In general a modern hotel. The location of the hotel is in the historic center of Inverness and all the bars and sights are close by.

We didn't pre book our breakfast, and the price per person was high. With half the amount of money you can have a full english/scottish breakfast nearby

Super nice staff! Just lovely. Friendly and always ready to help! We went to Inverness to celebrate Christmas in the Highlands and the staff just made it more magical! A huge thank you to Gautam and the lovely Chinmaie! We stayed in the family room. This has a very comfortable double bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed maybe fine for a child, but for an adult it needs a mattress topper. With the topper it was super comfortable! The room has a decent bathroom with a decent shower, a desk with chair, a soft chair and a small wardrobe with a safe, hairdryer and ironing board. We had breakfast on Christmas morning at the hotel. This was a very nice buffet with incredible mushrooms! We also dined at the hotel Christmas evening. This was another gorgeous buffet in a nicely decorated room with gentle Christmas music! It was a lovely evening!

The room needs more places to hang coats and clothes. Up to four people could stay in the room and the small wardrobe was not quite enough. The bathroom had just two pegs to hang towels. This wasn't enough. It would make the room a lot more comfortable to have more pegs in the bathroom and coat hooks in the room.

Hotel receptionist was super helpful when answering our queries. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast choice. Great location for resturants bars & shopping.

Personally, I like a few more dried fruit selection at breakfast.

Our stay at the River Ness Hotel was wonderful. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Just a short walk from the train station, it was a great location -- also just a street away from the River Ness itself and nestled near many different restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and shops. You never had to walk far to get where you wanted to go! The staff were very very helpful and friendly; Chinmaie at reception was lovely and ensured our stay was enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Inverness!

That we had to leave!

- Location, not far from bus depot from airport - Close to River Ness and lots of food places - Good breakfast, fabulous dinner inhouse - Clean and modern - Super quiet - Excellent restaurant and front desk staff - Will hold luggage after checkout

- Restaurant closed for dinner on Sunday night - Room not serviced on second day, which is fine and we were happy with that, but we would still expect a top up of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and water. This didn't happen

Awesome sized room, really comfy bed, big TV, and I know it sounds daft, but we had a fridge 😀 😄. Location can't get any better. It's 5 minutes from the train station and bang in the city centre. Every time we visit Inverness, we've stayed on Church Street, and the River Ness is the best so far. Look forward to staying again sometime in the future.

Just a little thing. The coffee cups in the rooms are tiny and there were no complimentary biscuits. If you stay in Scotland, you've got to have a shortbread😋. Apart from that, it was excellent and this shouldn't take away from the 10 out of 10 that I've given

We were greeted by such a friendly staff member & it really set the tone for the stay. She was always making sure we had what we needed, as were the breakfast staff. Our rooms was very spacious, beds comfortable & bathroom large. No noise from the area which was good as it was lively & right in the middle of everything. Great location! We were able to park out the front to off load bags & check in. The overnight car park recomended was only a 4 min walk.

The oil burner fragrance at the bar / reception area was far too strong.

The hotel has a great central location, with a wide choice of restaurants, places of interest and transport links nearby. The rooms are tastefully decorated the bed is the most comfortable we’d ever slept in a hotel. The best thing which made our stay extra special is the team. Nothing was too much trouble. They were friendly, welcoming, seemed that they were happy to work there and had exceptional customer service skills. We were visiting Inverness as a couple for the first time together, to celebrate our Silver Wedding anniversary. We let the hotel know ahead of our stay, not expecting anything to be honest, but we were most pleasantly surprised when we arrived and were presented with an anniversary card and two mini bottles of Prosecco waiting for us in our room. During our stay we encountered being locked out of our room safe, some flooding with an overflowing bath tub and needing to stay an extra night due to our train back home, being cancelled because of the storm Babet. Nothing was too much trouble for the amazing team at the River Ness hotel, and they solved all our issues with genuine kindness. I’ve travelled around the world for 7 years for my job, and I’ve never had such amazing service from any hotel. Thank you, we will undoubtedly be back and will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Absolutely nothing

New hotel - fresh build. Nice downtown location, with some homey music clubs and a great little whisky bar, The Malt Room, up the street.

New hotel - new electronics scheme not explained - for example - thermostats were remotely controlled at the front desk. Had to call to find out. Lighting overly complex and not explained - wasted time just trying to sort out which switch did what. Hint: The closet door must be completely closed to switch off the closet light because that's where the closet light switch is controlled. Nice staff. Breakfast decent but pricey like a hotel breakfast.

The hotel is very central, a short walk from the train station and the river. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast time needed to be booked but the slot we chose was readily available and the food was great. The light switches in the rooms are plentiful and were a talking point amongst the older folks in our group who all found them hard to decipher! The teenager in our group had the switches figured out pretty quickly though 😁
