Very good value for money and generally friendly staff. The pool, hot tub and sauna were also very nice and the hotel was in a great location..

The waitress was quite snotty at breakfast and unaccomadating when we asked if we could swap a couple of items on our full English breakfast with other items on the menu. Breakfast was included with the room rate, so it wasn't going to change the price, the breakfast room was empty so the chef wasnt really busy, and all items were on the menu anyway, so we weren't asking for much. She commented on how she would ask, but the chef wouldn't be happy with her.

Everything was as advertised, nice staff, good food and refurbished buildings. Bit outdated rooms but still not bad.

When arrived, we find out that swimmingpool, hot tube and steam room not worked, so we can only use sauna. Big shame we havent been advised, we choose this hotel becouse these facilities.

Pool was great

Charged us £30 for one night for our dog. This wasn't advertised beforehand. Usually the charge in other hotels is £10 per night. Very expensive and nothing you could do about it

It's a lovely hotel with great rooms and leisure facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful although it seemed understaffed.

Unfortunately the lack of bar atmosphere and poor food made a trip elsewhere for dinner a necessity.

the jacuzzi or steam room wasn’t on and the bar in the evening, no music bit boring could be better

Room was nice, bed was large, smaller room than expected, but good. Facilities were very good, although far from room. Very quiet. Breakfast was good.

Evening meal menu was same every night, without specials. Quite expensive for what was on menu. Was not offered a different choice of vegetable when mentioned dietary issues for those offered, paid same price with or without. Service in evening could be slow, even when not busy. Room was not cleaned, bed not made daily, had to ask for a vacuum to clean the room which was done next day!

The location was fab. The hotel was nice and staff were friendly.

The facilities especially the changing room needs updating.

Lovely room, fantastically clean and amazing bathroom. We really enjoyed our evening meal, a range of choices and beautifully cooked. The bar / restaurant is a welcoming place and the staff go out of their way for you. We enjoyed the swimming pool and spa facilities.

The breakfast was not up to the same standard as the evening meal. The cooked breakfast was a little cold. However there is a wide range of options. We paid for a late checkout, but the room key locks you out after normal checkout, so if you go swimming, go out etc. you cannot get back into your room.

I liked that they had a sauna room ,steam room ,and a jacuzzi which I didn't saw on website when I booked the hotel .The reception and housekeeping staff were very friendly and made our stay so good.The location is just 15 min drive from Lake District and there is so much to see and everything was sooo relaxing

I wished there were more options at brekfast ,and the hot brekfast we had a choice between 5 hot meals ,tbh I asked uf I can get 2 options because we were very hungry and ,they didn't let us....so brekfast wasn't as high to our expectations .And the inside room could have been cleaner ,we took the fan from the closet ,which haven't been cleaned in ages probably ,the dish on it was unbelievable.

Good location - great for travel around North Lakes. Great choice of both hot and cold food for breakfast. Room had both bath and shower cubicle. Staff polite, friendly & helpful. Great on-site facilities including swimming pool and tennis court.

Bed was two singles put together. Duvet barely covered the bed surface. It was inside a massive cover with excess all at one side of the bed - annoying when getting in and out. Chairs in bedroom were uncomfortable to sit in and frames were a bit rickety.
