Art hostel was cozy and attentive to the needs of a solo traveller. Plenty of showers, cute and safe rooms, and a perfect light breakfast available. The staff were super friendly and helped me navigate Leeds.
Only downside is that it was night next to the highway, so ambient noise during the night was hard to miss, but I slept just fine regardless.

The properly is well looked after, the staff were helpful, welcoming and above all the rooms were clean. I love the kitchen and the amenities provided there. I may not help myself with breakfast this time, however, it was beyond my expectations to find a good kitchen, to help myself with foods and to relax with tea or coffee after a long day at work. The bathrooms and toilets were clean and I’m glad there was 24hours supply of hot and cold water in the bathrooms. I would highly recommend this place and I would always choose this place whenever I’m working in Leeds.

The breakfast is fantastic and satisfactory. About there staff ,the staff that work from afternoon till this morning was so helpful and so excellent in human relation and customer care. The location of the hotel is not that bad . Please if you can try to accommodate female and male in a different room it could be better because man 75% of man normally snoring which disturbed a lot. Breakfast was fine but I could have done with proper coffee esp that cafes & shops are not close. Within a stone's throw of my Mum's GP (ret) surgery in which she served local community for 40+ years. Very proud of her and happy childhood memories...including the poor kids who have no idea who Shakespeare was! Loved room 11 window away from road (in fact most are I think). Perfect corner for my flags. Fire doors *very* bangy - i might put signs gently reminding people to catch them to avoid disturbing others, I forgot and felt bad about it.
Absence of proper coffee! Some kind of machine would improve that! Happy to pay for it to get me going in the am. Centre is fairly close but the last bit from the Ibis feels a bit sketchy... and it can be tricky staying the right side of each bit of dual carriageway but it is do-able. IF YOU NEED PHOTO ID THEN SAY SO ON BOOKING. I had to locate electronically and that was a bit stressful upon arrival.

What's not to like perfect for a stay in Leeds city centre if you're a budget traveller & not expecting the bells & whistles of fancy hotels. The staff are always friendly & welcoming & willing to help. The dorms are clean as are the beds, there is ample under bed storage though you do need a padlock, plenty of shower & toilet facilities one downstairs & 3 or 4 upstairs you do need your own towel. The kitchen facilities are excellent, a free prepare yourself breakfast is included cereals, bread, fruit, yoghurt & preserves are provided as well as unlimited tea, coffee, milk & fresh juice. What more could you want, my go to place in Leeds.

I really recommend this as a convenient place to stay in Leeds - it was about 25 mins walking from the station and the building is v cute. Staff very friendly and eager to give recommendations! Everything we needed! Towels were included.
We stayed in a dorm and the only complaint is that the facilities are a bit minimal - we stayed in a separate building over the road (not a problem at all) but the bathroom had no toilet paper or hand towel. There were also no lockers in the dorm and only two sockets for 6 beds - we were all friends so that was fine for us but might be an issue if you’re sharing with strangers.

A very creative hostel, I felt very welcome! It is clearly and old building but it is well maintained and clean. The rooms are themed, and while I only have seen the one I slept in I enjoyed the various art throughout the building. The staff was very nice and the kitchen was very convenient.
The location is a bit further from the city centre (about 20 minute walk), and not in a very obvious place (the entrance is around the building). Though this was clearly signposted around the building, it was still a bit of a search when I arrived in the evening.

Absolutely adorable property in a lovely quiet old area. We love the fact that it’s part of a societal enterprise for the arts and the interior reflects this. We had the Snowstorm double room which was cute, quirky and featured a very comfortable bed, excellent pillows, toiletries and a very welcome electric fan. The staff are absolutely brilliant - so friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic and helpful. I love the board in the reception area with recommendations by staff of places to eat, drink and visit. The recommendation of a local pub having eyed us up and asked what we like to do was beyond spot on - we saw two fantastic bands and felt incredibly welcome. In addition to this, after I plugged my phone in but forgot to switch it on, the team were happy to call us a cab to the station. We wished we could stay longer than one night.

Staff very friendly & helpful. Room was spacious, big bathroom with complimentary toiletries which was great. Little quirky & eccentric details make this a cute little place. Would definately stay again. Clean & tidy. Perfect location for city centre. Approx 20min walk from the train station. Loved all the little extras in the room like a diffuser, with the oils, speakers, bedside lamps even on the bunk bed.
Difficult to find with our satnav, we did get lost 🤦🏼♀️ we were in Room1 which is right by the entrance, quite noisy if you’re a light sleeper. All the plugs in the room say not to switch them off but it meant we didn’t know how to turn the lights off. Everything was supposed to be voice activated / on a sensor but don’t think they worked.

I just love the sense of camaraderie in this hostel, where everyone is happy to open up and share their story in front of strangers over a cup of tea. The interior design is very modern and appealing: each dormitory has a specific theme, and the walls are painted in bright colours. Bunk beds reminded me of tree houses. The name of the hostel is quite befitting – artsy, but not fartsy. The staff were very cool, friendly, and helpful. An ideal place for those, like me, on a tight budget. When I realised how cheap the bed was, I knew right away it's a must. Be smart – don't miss out!
For the life of me, I could not work out how to get the water running from the shower (there was a button instead of a lever). Word to the wise: I found it very difficult, as a pedestrian tugging all my luggage with me, to actually arrive at the front door of the hostel. There was a grad-separated road junction (overbridge and tunnel) blocking my way, so I eventually ended up walking all the way around it.
