location is brilliant, close all buses and tube. delicious full breakfast, very comfortable beds ad pillows. next to British Museum. nice staff, and plenty of tea supplies and a nice touch with biscuits. they were very good giving us a room on ground level.

rooms were serviced very late in the day. we were back on a few days late in afternoon, but room not done. No way around it, but breakfast room was down a flight of stairs, a bit tricky if you're not good with stairs.

Great location within walking distance of several buses and train stations to get you everywhere in London. Check-in and out was super easy. I arrived around 7AM for a 2PM check-in and they allowed me to store my belongings, which I really appreciated. Room is very cozy, super clean, great bathroom. I didn't try the breakfast but it was packed every morning and smelled great. My room wasn't facing the street so I can't comment on any noise but I never heard a peep from the outside. If you're looking for a solid place to stay, you won't be disappointed.

Nothing. Everything was great!

Lovely staff, very helpful, delicious breakfast included, cooked to order. Very nice, friendly, helpful man on reception. He helped us with our bags etc. Very comfy beds, nice bathroom, very clean. Lovely hotel with lots of character in an excellent location.

Our own fault as we didn't check, but room was at the top of hotel and no lift, as it is an older hotel. We would try to book a room on a lower floor next time as we are older and found l the stairs challenging, but it was a lovely hotel in a great location with lots of character and comfy beds. We'd definitely choose to stay here another time.

I thought straight away how clean the room was. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone. It was great. For any visitors, just a small tip. Round the corner is a primark, and if you go in one end and out the other end of the shop, you are practically on Oxford St. We walked very easily to Covent Garden, so the location is just excellent. We were b&b, and the breakfast was great also. Again, breakfast staff is very good.

The stairs. We were at the top. No lift. So, although climbing was no problem for us, it could potentially be a problem for anyone who was unfit. I will say, however, due to the great staff, this was no issue for us either.

Breakfast was lovely. I didnt have the full fried brekkie , but the other options of yogurt & cerals & juices were brilliant that it was self serve. The room was nice & had tea and coffees sachets and biscuits and a bottle of water in a glass. Bed was comfy. Yes it was noisy outside but it didn't bother me , your in central location of London. Not a countryside. Shower was easy to work , and you have an app for room service with many items. Easy to work & it saves you time if you dont want to hunt for places to eat. As for the staff , when i arrived at reception they let me check in 30 mins early. Which was lovely considering i been walking all day & with my bag. I recommend staying here & its good value and a great location if ye like soho / covent garden / chinatown / Oxford street / Bloomsbury / fitzrovia

I had a basement room and expected it would be gloomy but not at all. Breakfast was served at convenient time. The hotel was close to the venue I was attending, to attractions such as Covent Garden opera, all within walking distance.

The wifi was flaky : I was in the hotel annex at number 40, wifi is provider by "extenders" which work unreliably. Noise insulation is poor, and the resident in one of the neighbouring rooms was apparently throwing a party one evening (and since there is no receptionist in the annex the hotel staff were unaware). Perhaps some extra blankets should be provided just in case.

Lovely single room, more long than wide, but well thought out. Effectively a small sitting room, good wardrobe acts as divider, comfy single bed sleep area with ensuite shower room. Ceiling slopes near toilet, so tall people mind your head. Another good chair, tea making facilities, bottle opener and couple of plates (very useful) AND a proper fridge. Perfect for storing your own food. Loved the old London pictures on the walls.Looks out the back to an enclosed area with garden table & 2 chairs per room (neighbouring room had a set too). Looked like you could open the glass slider door, but I didn't try it, in case I set of an alarm. Reception and breakfast room in the main hotel lower level (my room in an annexe). Note the stairways are very narrow, not surprising as in old English styled dwelling. The panelled breakfast room was small yet deceptively big, nice decor and food delicious. Self service for cold items, order hot drinks, toast and cooked food with the servers. For room cost with breakfast a bargain, as you can easily pay twice as much for room only elsewhere.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for a weekend break in London. Good breakfast. The hotel itself, had everything you needed, but it is looking a little tired. The room was well equipped, with aircon, a safe, coffee and en-suite shower room.

As mentioned, the hotel could do with an upgrade, it does look tired. Having said that at the price point there is nothing to complain about. If being picky: some new carpets in the stairways and common areas; a better shower, mounted higher, more sockets in the bedroom and general redecoration and soft furnishings would be welcome. Long walk up to the top floor.

Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked, well served. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and plenty of tea/coffee. Well situated, close to tube etc.

No full length mirror, lots of stairs, down to reception and restaurant, and up to the room. Very tired decor, bald carpets, curtain hanging off. peeling paint, needed care and attention. The bathroom sink was ridiculously high and the sink so far back in the work surface it was difficult to use. That said nothing major, but would be more appealing with a freshen up.

Large room with plenty of space. Arm chairs to sit in, a fridge, small dining table and chairs, plates & cutlery and air conditioning as well as a more than adequate shower within a good size cubicle. Breakfast was also lovely.

Our "double" bed seemed to consist of 2 single mattresses which meant if you rolled into the middle you began to slide into the gap. The fridge in the room could do with being quieter, it was fairly loud and woke us up at one point and the tea cups could do with being a bit larger. Also, the building we were in (no. 40) didn't seem to have any WiFi although we were given the network name and password, we were unable to find the network or connect.
