The staff was really friendly, the location was good, and the hotel was clean.

There was no elevator, so it was difficult to carry my luggage up to the third floor and back down. Next time, please give me a room on the first floor.

Location was excellent - easy to walk to locations, or take bus or train! Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Staff at front desk readily available. Breakfast was continental or a full English breakfast - had both and were excellent!

Lots of stairs at the hotel for example breakfast was down a flight of stairs, our room was 2 floors up. Completely manageable for us but if an accessibility issues, it would be a concern. We also kept windows open at night (it is January) as we get hot and didnt see a way to control coolness in room.

My sister, daughter and I shared a triple room and just adored this hotel! The location is wonderful. It’s directly across the street from the British museum. 30 minute walk to Big Ben. 15 minutes or so walking to Trafalgar Square. Breakfast each morning was hot and made to order, along with cold options. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind- especially the breakfast staff. In addition, our room was cleaned better than almost anywhere I’ve ever stayed. The housekeeping was meticulous. Very nice neighborhood with shopping and food nearby. We felt safe the whole time. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We were truly impressed with Staunton Hotel B&B for our London stay. The location was close to underground stations and key attractions, yet it was a quiet area. The room was clean and the breakfast was good, with plenty of options and fresh fruit. We stayed on the third floor, which if you don't mind steps was a great choice as it was extra quiet and private. The staff was helpful and even provided us with continental breakfast to take on our early flight when we departed.

The room did smell musty as reviewers mention, but we found that most of our stays in the UK had this problem since ventilation in bathrooms without windows is poor. It was unpleasant, but after two weeks of similar issues, this didn't surprise us.

The room was nice, super clean, and quiet. The hotel was centrally located. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was cooked to order. We would stay here again.

We knew there were a lot of stairs and no elevator going in so that was OK for us, but I would not recommend the hotel to someone with mobility issues. The room needs more electrical outlets. For example, there were no outlets in the bathroom, making it difficult to dry my hair. There were none by the two main beds, so it was hard for my husband to plug in and use his C-Pap. But overall, the hotel was nice and exceeded our expectations.

It was a very large and comfortable triple room. The shower was very good and the water was hot. The AC worked well. Breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty. The location was excellent for both walking and transport.

The floors creak a lot because of the older style of building but we had guests above us talking and moving around in their room until after 1.am which meant we didn't get a restful night.

Third time staying here. Checking in was really efficient. Lovely twin room with air conditioning. Everything was clean. Breakfast was great (get down early if it's the busy season) and was freshly cooked to order. Helpful staff. Nothing too much of a problem. We were able to leave our bags in reception after checking out. I was a bit concerned that we had left them too long and so called the hotel. Lovely guy on the phone said it was absolutely no problem. Location is ideal - 15 mins walk from Convent Garden and theatreland. We will return.

Everything was great!

The Staunton Hotel is in the perfect location for what I love to do in London, and was easy to get to various Underground stations. We got a room on the third floor, which meant a bunch of stairs, but it was cozy and very quiet. The staff we spoke to were very nice and helpful. We didn't really take advantage of the breakfast, though we did pop down for coffee a couple of times. The breakfast room was clean and the staff were kind.

I booked this hotel as it was a 20 minute walk from the London Palladium theatre. There were some lovely shops and cafes literally around the corner. On arrival I was warmly welcomed and was given a room just behind the reception which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. I didn’t feel like I was in hustle and bustle of London, as my room was very quiet and restful. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe in this hotel with 24hr reception. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and very enjoyable.

Excellent location, cosy ans comfortable rooms, space for everything, inclusif bathroom, bags, etc (we stayed one week). Breakfast ok.

I liked everything, I recommend the hotel and will come back if again in London. A bit noisy from inside of the hotel (but we were surrounded by normal persons, no excesses) and from the street (if you open the window, you hear cars and people quite a lot - personally I slept with earplugs and it was ok - recommended). Still, not a huge problem and still 10/10!!!
