The hotel was lovely, clean and modern. The beds were hugeeee and very comfortable and the hotel smelt lovely. Staff were friendly and in the perfect location right in the centre of everything.

Attempted 3 times to use the roof top bar and were refused 3 times by the lady at the seating stand. We went outside to have a look at the view, and noticed half the tables were empty, and there was easily space for 2 people. We were very disappointed as we did try 3 times to sit outside on the roof top and were declined despite being residents of the hotel, and the lady just said ‘no’ no explanation, we did sit inside and look at the menu but then decided to leave as were were saddened we couldn’t sit outside and enjoy the view. I was very gutted as I was very excited to have a drink up there hence trying 3 times!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Evening provided complimentary umbrellas when it was raining. The location is fabulous and an easy walk to the shows, shops, underground, restaurants and bars. The hotel has a wonderful roof top bar that does amazing cocktails and nibbles. Would highly recommend the hotel and will definitely be back.

The lighting around the mirror could be better as it is very dark when trying to put makeup on. Breakfast should include hot options with no additional cost in my opinion.

Modern tasteful decor and friendly, helpful staff make this a good choice for anyone wanting an attractive upscale Covent Garden location. Relatively quiet for location in the busy theater district. Comfortable bedding and decent supply of fair trade coffee, tea and water supplied.

The heavily promoted environmental conservation plan to skip daily maid service didn’t actually seem to work on the tablet as directed. Shelf in bathroom was falling off the wall and toilet seat was crooked. Pump tops for shampoo and body wash in shower were screwed down so tight in closed position it took some time to correct at an awkward moment.

The location of this hotel is great. However I will say that if you plan to travel mostly by train and you don't like to walk much, maybe this location is not for you. The nearest train station is 7 minutes away, but that's the Piccadilly line that doesn't go everywhere. When we needed the Elizabeth line for example it was 15 min walk. However there are a lot of buses near by so also consider that. Regarding the room, the bed was comfy, the shower was amazing, everything was clean.

We stayed in a Large Double Room which was bigger than a standard London room, however it was still challenging with two suitcases. The pillows are very soft, wish they had firm ones. There was no closet in the room, only 2 drawers and some hangers. We were missing that storage space.

We travel extensively throughout the year. Each September, we stay in the West End London theater district for our anniversary. For many years we stayed at two specific hotels in the area. Due to unavailability at these hotels this year, we selected the Amano Covent Garden. Upon arrival, our room was not adequate for a six night stay. The front desk staff, including the hotel manager, Ana, were most concerned for our comfort and gave us another room to meet our needs during our visit. They expressed to us that they wanted to ensure our comfort and would accommodate us in every way. They succeeded. For our entire stay, they availed themselves. We have never experienced such customer service anywhere we have stayed in the world. Our updated room was spacious and comfortable. The restroom facilities were magnificent, including the shower. The bed was impeccably comfortable. The hotel location was perfect for and accessable to all areas of London. The restaurant, Penelope, was very unique in food and beverage selection, and well worth a visit for breakfast and/or dinner. The staff and manager continued their extraordinary customer service when we explained that we had a very late evening flight home and that my wife had become ill the day before. They graciously extended our departure time to one o'clock in the afternoon that day. Upon our departure, we informed the front desk staff and Ana that the Amano will be our choice of hotels each year we return to London for our anniversary. We will also request room 618! Not a thing! Perfection! Excellence! Ultimate in customer service!

We didn’t have breakfast & the restaurant was closed whilst we were there so we cannot comment on that. We however liked everything we did experience about the hotel, it was modern & clean, the rooms were comfortable & well equipped, staff were friendly & the hotel was in a very nice & convenient location for everything. Whilst in London we went to a performance at the Royal Opera House & it was literally round the corner from the hotel. We travelled by train into London Euston, then we got a bus outside the station, a no 68, stand F @ £1.75pp, it took about 10 mins, then it was about a 5 minute walk to the hotel, the buses run about every 10 mins. We had a lovely time in London & the hotel was perfect for us, we would definitely recommend & hope to return in the near future.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like, I guess a fridge would have been handy & I prefer a softer mattress but you can’t please everyone & it definitely wasn’t a deal breaker.

Lovely hotel in perfect location however the room was tiny! Lighting was dreadful- perfect for a romantic weekend but useless when trying to apply makeup or dry hair- on that note the hairdryer did not reach the mirror so very much had to hope for the best. No where to store case and wardrobe space minimal. Breakfast area was more like a casual bar area- low tables, poor lighting and cheese, meats and yoghurts/ fruits only.- will i rush back? Probably not! Which is a shame because it was a lovely hotel and staff very accommodating but claustrophobic rooms , dismal lighting definitely put me off.

Nice hotel in a great location for Drury Lane and Covent Garden. Staff very helpful. Room smelt a bit musty when we arrived, told Reception and they sorted it. Beautiful bathroom with excellent shower. Room itself compact, but with plenty of mirrors next to sockets for drying hair/applying make-up etc. I found the bed to be quite hard, but we only stopped one night so not an issue. Roof top bar unfortunately closed due to private event so didn't get to experience that - we were informed prior to our stay. Price excellent for a London hotel.

Reception dark, room dark but I think this is a fashion.

pretty much everything was amazing at the hotel. The food at penelopes was absolutely amazing. the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly. the whole feel of the hotel was luxury, from the rooms, the lifts, reception, the decor.... Just everything. the room was tidy and we had all the usual bits you'd expect. the whole place was a great find for my leisure trips. in terms of area, it was perfect for shopping, theatres and just 7 minutes to get to the Thames, probably about 15 to 20 minute walk to the mall, Buckingham Palace, London eye etc.

couldn't open the windows in the room, they weren't broke, they're just full windows with no openings. The room did feel a bit small, there was no actual wardrobe, so you hung your clothes above the kettle area or just kept them in your suitcase.

The location is excellent, as is the staff who were always ready with a smile and went above and beyond to be of service; I also appreciated their environmental awareness. I loved the balcony! I will be recommending the Amano to my friends and will definitely stay here when next I am in London.

I do think they could provide hand/body lotion and perhaps not dilute the shower/shampoo amenities. The small clothing rail is adequate if one is travelling solo or on business but is not ideal otherwise and although the buffet breakfast selection is fabulous, the cooked items (scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon) were always cold.
