Excellent location. Lovely staff, they were so friendly and helpful. The building is lovely and decorated nicely. For how close to Covent Garden it was I was surprised at how little noise there was on an evening. Really great that they let us store our bags on arrival and departure so that we could explore the city.

As a word of warning there is no elevator which we knew upon booking. Just something to be aware of if you require one. I must add that reception did kindly offer to help with our bags had we needed it.

unfortunately we picked the hotel with air conditioning as an essential requirement as it was summer but in our room it wasn’t working. there were already fans in the room so looks like a known problem. Fans helped but room was very warm and uncomfortable. Also kettle not working which we found out in morning, too late for staff to get replacement. would have been reasonable for a discount to be offered

Having checked out and been kindly allowed to leave my bags in storage until 8pm that evening, I was equally kindly permitted by the very nice female receptionist to sit in the small reception area for a couple of hours quietly working on my laptop. A male manager (?) came in at one stage and commented to the receptionist along the lines of "Has he taken up residence? We have rooms available to book you know." I explained I had stored my bags and been granted permission to sit there. It was a cringeworthy and insulting comment that embarrassed me (and was intended to do so). A hitherto nice experience (with otherwise impeccable front desk staff) seriously undermined by one crass individual.

Up 2 flights of narrow stairs - it wasn't an issue for us but could have been Curtains coming off their fittings - needed attention. Some stains on soft furnishings. Generally clean but a bit of extra attention needed No handle on wardrobe door - had to open with fingernails! Bedside cabinet door didn't fit. Great spot in need of some refurbishment

Excellent location right in the middle of Covent Garden near numerous pubs and cafes and restaurants, and 1 minute walk from the Opera House. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room had great facilities. Tea and coffee and biscuits as well as a good shower etc. The only slight downside was it was a little noisy from people walking past internally. I think this is because it is not a purpose built hotel, but an old house, so it doesn't have so much sound proofing. However, this was only occasional, and there was no noise from outside as you are in a quiet pedestrian cul de sac. The hotel room was very comfortable and I would definitely recommend here for a good hotel in a great location.

Slightly noisy from other guests

The location was fantastic, just 2-3 min walk from Covent garden station. We watched two shows till 10pm at night and were able to walk home easily from the theatres. Also walking distance to Somerset House where we did some ice skating. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and kind to us— esp the young lady manning the desk in the daytime. Although there was no lift, the staff were very helpful to carry our suitcases up and down for us. When we checked in, we left our luggage with them as we were early. When we came back in the evening, the luggage had already been brought to our room without us asking. Appreciated that greatly.

No lift, stairs were quite narrow and required some care for kids and probably older persons. The shower water pressure was poor but we were on the top floor.

A fantastic location, in the heart of Covent Garden, 5 min walk to the Market. A lovely quiet hotel in the middle of the cultural centre of the city. Hidden in a small street. Beautiful old building and decoration. Comfy beds, nice hospitality tray. We have got a twin room/ maisonette, with bathroom connected with the bedroom by stairs. It felt like we were renting a little house. The room was very clean and the staff working in a hotel extremely helpful. We will be back!

Nothing. There is no breakfast room, but there are plenty of cafes around, so this wasnt an issue.

Great location and staff. We stay here whenever we’re in London in the apartments. We’d stayed in the upstairs one next to the main hotel. Roomy, comfy beds. There are two pop out single sofa sleepers in living room and a private bedroom. Kitchen and washer. The washer was out of order but they helped us with our laundry. Quiet pedestrian street in the vibrant West End. Walkable to all the shows, Covent Garden, lots of restaurants, Pineapple Dance studio for our kids. Covenant Garden tube close by, Holborn a few blocks. Expensive in London, a better price here. Home away from home. Best wishes Sajaad.

Washer out of order

I am obviously not the first one to comment on the location - but what a location! Not, usually, the part of London we return to, but after staying at Fielding Hotel we might have to do so more often: it doesn't get more central and well connected in every respect. And not just central, but a lovely and very quiet road too. A treat to have a constantly occupied reception; staff were friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and personable. We enjoyed our room (including a desk which these days is not a given) plus a good range of teas and coffees, water etc.. Plenty of reasons to return.

The Fielding Hotel is located in the center of London, very close to several underground stations and bus stops. The staff is helpful and friendly. Although no breakfast is provided, there are many nearby places to have breakfast.

The room lacks proper shelving for clothing, and the furniture is outdated and in need of repair. There are only small shelves available for accessories. A major concern is that the housekeeper placed clean bed sheets and towels on the corridor floor before cleaning and setting up the room.
