Tha Marlborough Hotel was simple & well maintained private hotel with friendly staff & a lovely owner who greeted us on arrival. The room was a decent size, we had a failybroom & a nice endure with walk in shower. Everything was simp,y furnished & the double bed was firm to sleep. We usec ths kettle with rea & coffee, but if suited our stay over the weekend. Near the city centre, plenty of pubs & restaurants nearby or in walking distance. Check with parking if you drive, because theresvpermutbparking & public parking opposite t5om 6pm -10am exc4pt Sunday.but it's about a couple hundred meters from the rail station so it's easy to get too. Overall, a simply furnished hotel with friendly staff with clean & simple amenities.
It was all good apart from a loose toilet roll holder.

The Hotel looked as great as it was advertised. There's a little short cut to get to the hotel from the train station, which we found out later! 😅 We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room is so spacious and clean. Though the mattress felt a tad too soft for oldies like us but it was still comfortable. Housekeeping was great too, they made sure we had everything we need. There's also a nice little cafe just down the road called HOME CAFE which served good food. (Get out of the hotel, turn right. Walk towards the end of road, u will see the cafe.) Walking to the city is about 20mins but its a good walk. You can also walk to the riverside which is nearer. There are some eateries there. There's also Boots and some shops for shopping. We hope u enjoyed the stay like we did.
None at all.

Staff were lovely and the hotel smelt clean. It looked lovely too. The room wasn't to big or small was decorated nice, onsuite was a nice size too. We didn't use the dining room downstairs that they held breakfast in but from a glance it looked clean and a wide variety of selections.
There wasn't much to dislike however the duvet we noticed was very stained under the cover...very stained. The pillows were quite lumpy and not very comfortable either. Not the hotels fault with this point but some other people at the hotel were very loud and where our windows were situated it was too loud at times.

The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable with fresh white linens and towels, my bath water hot. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good, there was a toaster available, fresh fruit, milk, yoghurts and cheeses, plenty of choice of cereals, teas and coffees. Everything was laid out for you to help yourself. The blackout curtains worked well for an afternoon nap. It is close to the station and a short walk to the football ground. There were a few parking spaces outside which was very convenient. I thought this hotel was excellent value for money and I would stay there again.
I couldn't get the TV control to work the TV. It was very late, so I didn't bother to ask the staff for help, no doubt this was entirely my fault,

our room was clean and met our needs. The staff were very approachable and friendly and our stay was great.
Breakfast was a little disappointing as it was advertised as a continental but really only toast & cereal which for £5.99 per person was a little dear. If this had been included in the price of the room it would have been better. We could have done with extra pillows as they were very flat. When relaxing to watch tv later in the evening it was uncomfortable to sit up on the bed.....maybe some cushions would have helped.

In general the accomodation was good, it was clean and employees are willing to help. Even though the hotel parking lot was full the reception desk allowed us to loan a personal parking permit for street side parking.
Some eye for detail is missing: - sink drain was not closing off - toilet seat was loose - ventilation in the bathroom had a collection of dust. This shoul have been cleaned - a light bulb was burned out - the cleaning crew is rather loud when performing their activities in the morning as if they haven't realized people are still sleeping. I was surprised when i was sitting in the lobby and saw them throwing dirty bed linnen down the stairs ending in the lobby. I think this could be handled more discretly.

Basic hotel but very comfortable. Convenient location for someone like myself travelling by train - main station just 5 minutes walk away. Friendly and attentive staff. I had a reasonably priced, excellent continental breakfast each morning. ( but for those who like a full English, that would have been available at their sister hotel, the Revado, a few doors further up the street ) This was my first visit to Norwich ( doing some family history research ) and a good hotel made it a special experience
No problems at all.

Facilities were excellent large airy room good comfortable bed bathroom was exceptional and plenty of hanging and storage space also very clean and tidy
Location is not supurb however perfectly fine not that much noise during night and I suspect parking could be an issue although we had no issue as were parked in one of the 3 spaces at back . Does not reflect on the property but when we were trying to check the man on reception kept putting us to one side while he answered the phone people twice while we were checking in this is personal but that does annoy me a lot

Amazing staff, really friendly and welcoming! Good value for money. We'd a standard double bed and a single bed in the room, with a private bathroom, a small selection of instant coffee & tea, with the option to pay (reasonable priced) breakfast, if needed. We've booked this for just a night, a warm room with clean bedsheets, what more to ask!
The bathroom requires a bit of attentance. The rusty toilet should be replaced. The room had a weird smell upon us checking in, but once the windows were open, it cleared up.

A little gem, great value for money. The hotel was very clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Very near to the station and walking distance to the city so a great location. Breakfast was continental style, help yourself to toast, cereal, yogurt and fruit etc. Definitely would recommend and hope be back at some stage soon.
No drinking glasses in our room but soon it was rectified without any issues, just need to ask, nothing appeared to be a problem.
