Pretty tastefully decorated property in excellent location. Have stayed here few times now . Staff are all lovely. Room was comfortable and warm. Price was good .
Cleanliness wasn't good . Dirty bathroom floor and very dusty bedroom . Such a shame as it doesn't take long to flick a duster after bed change Shower was very stiff to operate and I had to ask my partner to operate for me. Toilet seat broken. Was broken last time we stayed and still not been fixed. We did stay in the same room. Limited cereals at breakfast and no muesli bananas. Maybe due to January stay and limited guests Such a lovely place but definitely needs attention with cleaning being a major issue. Front step to hotel was very dirty and wasn't mopped all the time we were there. We stayed 5 nights here.

We did not eat there so we cannot comment but the meals looked good. The drinks were on the expensive side but it is a hotel not a pub so understandable. The size of the hotel was larger than we thought and the outside area was substantial
Prior to arriving we had a few e-mails offering a slightly earlier check in for a fee of £ 25.00 which we have never encountered before. The doors were noisy in the upstairs bedroom area when being closed. the hot water was very hot and dangerous if children used the tap but there was a warning on the tap. their was a rip in the bedsheet - but it was clean. Parking was difficult when we arrived but we managed to get a place - if not it would be a difficult area to park. After the first night there was plenty of car parking space

The Georgian Townhouse is very well situated and with its own carpark, which is always a plus. The place has a Welcoming feel. Our room was Lovely, Well furnished in a boutique style but still cosy and had all the necessities essential to a comfortable stay. We found The Beds to be comfy too. The hotel got in touch with me prior to our stay to see if we wanted a double or twin beds, a table booked in their restaurant and just to enquire as to anything else they might do to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Which I thought was a nice touch. We would highly recommend The Georgian Townhouse and in fact we have and will stay again when next visiting Norwich.

Wonderful restaurant and facilities. Pretty property with inspired vibe. Walking distance to many wonderful sites.
Our particular room (Colonels) did not have a door handle on the inside and did not stay shut unless locked. As a guest, I wanted to go to breakfast and had to take the only key and lock the door. Otherwise, the door would swing open when I left. As A result, when my wife wanted to come to breakfast, I had to walk across the street and long the door so it would be secure. I asked for a second key but non was available. It would be easy to replace the door handle to something more practical, but the front desk seemed indifferent to that idea.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Georgian Townhouse. It’s in a good location - a short walk to the city centre but quiet in the evenings. The decoration is modern and fun. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was delicious. The breakfast was very good too. The hotel is easy to find and the car park spacious.
The reception staff were often hard to find - the desk isn’t always ‘manned’. Also the staff in the bar/restaurant weren't always very attentive. Also we stayed on a Friday evening and there was a loud DJ set downstairs, which went on till 11.30pm. But I imagine it was still quieter than many other hotels in and around the city centre!

Free parking is a bonus in a city hotel. The bed was comfortable, and the shower worked well. It isn't far from the centre of Norwich with all its attractions, restaurants, etc, and about 25 minutes walk to the railway station. All the staff we had dealings with were great, can't fault them.
Unfortunately we stayed when there was a bit of a heatwave, the temperature in the room was uncomfortably hot. There is also a fridge in the room which throws out a lot of heat so we turned it off at night. A fan was provided but even at full speed really didn't throw out a lot of air, it looks like a well known brand but nowhere near as good, a standard design fan would be better.

We only booked the afternoon before, paid for a room only rate as we’re not big eaters in a morning. When checking in we were given an upgrade to an apartment which was across the road in another big beautiful Georgian building. Beautifully decorated, we had a kitchen/diner with basic facilities, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge. Big main bedroom, walk in cupboard/wardrobe and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The bed was very comfortable.
I did notice there was no coffee available, but several types of tea bags. Also we wanted a bath in the morning and the water ran cold before it was full.

Lovely quirky furniture and decorations. Bathroom nice with bath and shower. Good positioning near town with car parking available. Stayed one night without breakfast so only saw one member of staff on way in and one checking out (there are no staff at night). The interaction was very minimal but friendly.
The coffee machine did not seem to work properly. I have used this exact pod based coffee machine before but after 4 aborted attempts we gave up. There was an old heater with broken legs in the corner of the room. Tried to use it as one of the windows was jammed open and it was cold. It let off a strange metallic burning smell then blew a fuse (the modern fan worked well though). Shower leaked through door so floor was soaking afterwards. 2 TVs, which was odd for a small room, with only one remote so you had to block the signal otherwise both TVs reacted. Sounds dodgy but really these are small things and the room was unusual and nice.

The location was excellent for a number of activities we had planned and was chosen by me with that in mind. The bus stop across the road is a real bonus. Good parking available. The receptionist Charlotte was very helpful and assisted us to move to a downstairs room as to get upstairs was hard for me. The quality of the breakfast products was excellent and service good. Evening menu starters were good, in choice and quality. We were pleased to have two armchairs when we moved and the fridge in the room was handy.
Breakfast items were individually priced when we were billed but this was not advertised or itemised on the menu. The dinner was tasty though as someone who eats little meat the main courses were limited for me. Portions were generous. The strange wardrobe arrangement half worked for hanging clothes but as a hot drinks station was dark and rather high up so we didn’t think it worked very well. I did find the choice of paint colours used on the walls and ceiling rather gloomy I’m afraid.

Have stayed here before and was happy to come back. Great vibe, location and a very comfortable night's sleep. Although the room we were in could do with a little TLC in certain corners, we loved the decor and how comfy everything was. There was even a supplementary heater for us to use which came in quite handy and worked really well.
Breakfast was a bit ropey, my poached egg was well done and the yoghurt on the continental buffet table was not right in terms of consistency. And the compote was unbelievably sour. I couldn't select breakfast as part of my booking package and be aware that you pay for every individual item on the buffet.
