Excellent location, quite cozy vibe, right next to some colleges and the botanical garden. Sainsbury's is also very close by. Kind and accommodating staff.

Very minor thing, but we had to keep our bathroom dark by keeping the curtain closed because there was construction going on right under our (quite large) window. There was a bigger hiccup with Booking though: the room was supposed to include breakfast, but the hotel did not have this information. We found out quite late, so we did not get to enjoy the complementary breakfast more than once. However, the staff were very kind and apologetic about it, since it was not their issue, and we got some drink vouchers for it. Booking on the other hand was not ready to refund any of the cost, which is a shame. So make sure if you use this website that all relevant info goes thru!

Helpfulness of staff. They were really good regarding arranging a taxi and helping my mum in and out of the hotel. They organised a really suitable room for my mum right next to the lift and ideal for people with mobility problems.

The only problem with the hotel was my mum who is very elderly had to use a disabled lift to get from the main lounge in the hotel to the lower level restaurant. This lift was not easy to work and was very slow, with the staff in the restaurant needing to spend a lot of time to make this lift work. There was also a hoover stored in the way of the entrance to the lift. We had to use this lift for my mum to get out of the hotel as well because there was no disabled access from the hotel reception and lounge.

Great check in/out times which work well for 1 nights stays Daughter was attending college ball so location and 24 hour reception were main reasons for choosing this hotel Breakfast was ok , staff pleasant and efficient Reception area nice Our room at the back quiet in terms of outside noise

In room heating not working- bit cold until the radiators went on in corridor Eaves room cramped- realise that comes with nature of old building- feels a bit like staying in an old rambling college - not necessarily a bad thing Some breakfast items could be better- - orange juicy a bit watery, pastries also-ran, bacon and sausage cooked for being left out on display never the best Fair amount of corridor noise as guests come and go but bearable

Breakfast was good, although buffet style so no availability of freshly cooked dishes. Staff and service excellent. Location ideal. Availability of water in lounge very good. A very comfortable bed.

Room was tired and needs work eg cracked tiles, chipped paint, degraded silicone around bath. Poor choice of drinks in bar eg no brandy, no Gardon’s gin, no decent ales. V expensive for the standard of room which was one we’d paid extra to upgrade to. Not worth the money.

Literally across the street from Magdalen College! Best location. Actual front desk entry slightly hard to find, but otherwise fine. Bathroom was HUGE and the towel warming rack on the wall was fantastic. Appreciated the standing portable heater for the room, as well as the daily sparkling water and coffee/tea service refresh. Was not cold at all.

We had 3 different rooms overall, first one very musty odor, but 2nd and 3rd were very good.

The location is great right near the high street and easily walkable to everywhere that matters in Oxford. The staff were friendly uniformally , both on the front desk and at breakfast and they made an effort to help my partner who is coeliac. The shower was great and the room was clean with a sufficient number of plugs..

The room was very cold, everywhere in Oxford was cold in january but our room was especially so. The breakfast was fine but not special.

Room was very nice. Liked the picture of the arch of sighs which was over the bed. The breakfasts were good as were the dinner. Liked that it was close to several things we wanted to see.

Would like to have been given a receipt when we checked out of the hotel. We like to have those for our records. But the clerk said we had to get that from you. So, if at all possible could you please send us a closing receipt for our stay at the hotel? Would appreciate it very much.

the room was well equipped and cleaned to a very high standard. My goal was to have a comfortable rest, sleep and nice shower for the night. I got all of that. I would book again. Breakfast options were plenty, but I am dairy free and watching cholesterol. Still, I managed to get a filling breakfast with tomatoes, mushrooms, cereal, almond milk, toast, jam, prunes and juice. The eggs and bacon did look delicious.

The room did not come with a book or menu for the restaurant as the reception said it would, and it was a long walk back down to ask for another. The phone didn't work. So I just ordered food for delivery. Then, after settling down with food, I tried the TV and it didn't work.

Excellent location. Room and and restaurant are very comfortable. The Restaurant is accommodating with a good menu and nice bar. They have a separate glassed in room which one can use for business or private phone calls. The hotel is located a few steps from the airport bus stop as well as bus stops for everywhere else.

The staff was either uninformed or not interested in helping to find restaurants that are open late. I asked about the hotel/restaurant walking distance down the road and only after I asked them to google it did they find that the restaurant at the Old Bank is, indeed, open late. The staff seemed to be new. Nice but not too helpful.

the location was perfect to walk everywhere. It was modern and clean.

The staff were ok. Friendly but not helpful in finding alternate solutions, I.e. we checked in at midnight and the one person checking us in was not friendly and didn’t help us in terms of finding parking. it was only when the manager came over that he said we could park with them. Also, one evening we wanted to get food and the room service kitchen closed at the time. that’s fine but when asked if they could suggest an alternate of what was open etc they just replied “I don’t know” and left it at that. instead of trying to help us….there was door dash which we found ourselves and it was perfect.
