We like the hotel for its convenience to our onward route. The breakfast was great.

The communication between bar staff and reception. We were told we could pay for our meal at the bar, which we did. But the following morning the receptionist asked me to pay for the meal we had the evening before. I assured her we had paid and asked her to check with the bar staff. She didn’t do this. She said if I told her we had paid then we had paid but not in a very convincing way! I left the hotel feeling as if I wasn’t believed, not a very nice feeling!

Last min booking as we had problems with the car tyres. Receptionist waited for us and helped us through check-in, gave us flexible breakfast timings - thanks so much! (Did not get your name) location-wise it’s not near any tourist places but the place was old but well maintained, clean for the price. Buffet breakfast was traditional Scottish and very sumptuous. Helped to soothe the nerves of our very stressful night before. Thanks so much!

Nothing really, everything was within expectations. We even learnt about local hero Rob Roy.

The room was very spacious. Food was good and staff nice. The covered walkway from main building to rooms was very practical.

We thought this hotel was going to be fully accessible with most rooms on the ground floor. However, the rooms were still a bit of a walk to reach and there was a step to access the main building. To avoid this you had to go outside, round and back in. This would have been a problem in heavy rain.

The hotel is located by the river, and the mountains are within reach. The room was very clean and with a comfortable bed in a standard that I did not expect at this price. Overall a very nice place

It will be hard to find something I didn't like. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful , breakfast very tasty , and for those who like to sleep a little longer it is served on request even after 9.30 AM :) which in my case is great

Modern hotel with a good sized room and bathroom (shower) and a comfortable bed. Dinner was excellent - very good service and food. Breakfast was buffet style - reasonable, but inevitably the hot food was a bit dry. But a good selection which would suit most tastes.

Nothing, although the hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the town centre (along a cycle path). I had walked the first stage of the Rob Roy Way so this added a bit more walking to my day!

The bar and restaurant staff were great. They were friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. I loved the location and the bed was super comfortable.

There were three used sanitary towels in the bathroom bin when I first entered the bedroom. This left me feeling unsure of the cleanliness of the rest of the room. New guests should never be met with that when arriving at their room.

Food good and service excellent. Dinner and breakfast both fine. Waitress at dinner first class, cheerful, friendly and accommodating- deserves special mention. Despite being focussed on the coach party presence we were pleasantly surprised at everything and the room and toilets (en-suite and in the main reception area) were spotless.

Could do with more facilities for children ie games room or similar but understandable due to the need to service coach parties. Some decorative work on the exterior and landscaping would be good but interior upgrading much better than expected.

Location is great and it's a beautiful walk into the village depending on the weather so take a waterproof jacket or call the local taxi service. Breakfast is fantastic, we have stayed many times and always been delighted. Good quality local products and plenty of choices to suit everyone.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn't like at all, unless of course you could control control the weather 😀

The location is fantastic. The rooms were spotless and staff were more than happy to help with any enquiries. There was a great selection for breakfast and it was delicious. More than enough to set you up for the day.

The only drawback I would say personally is having to make dinner reservations beforehand. Which we didn't do however there is a lovely restaurant in the village of Aberfoyle if you make this rookie error like myself which is delightful and the staff are amazing too.

Friendly staff, good breakfast spotlessly clean, good parking, roomy recreation rooms and nice bar and restaurant

People smoking or letting smoke come into the corridor by the bedrooms even though the doors said no smoking. Noisy person at 6am stomping around and slamming doors directly above where we were staying
