The pub and rooms were very clean. Toiletries and towels set out ready for us upon arrival. Staff were very polite and helpful with any queries. Also had a gorgeous breakfast in the pub the morning after our stay, included with the room, which included fresh fruit and tea alongside a meal of our choice. It was a very quiet and peaceful location in the night also. Would definitely stay here again and recommend!

The only inconvenience we found was that there are no taxi companies nearby so had to pay a call out charge from Andover to get to where we needed to go. But no issues if you are driving yourself.

This is our 3rd time staying at the George Inn and the breakfast is one of the best we've had in all our experience of travelling. Freshly cooked and great quality, with good choices. In the two different rooms that we've stayed in, the beds have been so comfortable, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious.

The bathroom in the room above the restaurant (Over Wallop?) is a bit outdated and the showerhead didn't fit in the holder properly but... its a.small thing and everything else was great.

This is a comfortable pub-with-rooms, well-used by locals, and ideal for an overnight stay. Our room (Over Wallop) was a very good size, with lovely decor, comfy bed and good facilities. The food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent, and staff very friendly and helpful.

Just a few minor details: bathroom was a bit tired and needs updating, The over-washbowl light and fan weren't working. There was a bulb out in the main room light fitting, It would have been reassuring to have a spare toilet roll in the bathroom, especially as the one currently in use was getting a touch low!

This is a beautiful property and the rooms are also beautiful as well as clean and comfortable. During the stay the bar staff, chefs and housekeeping staff that we spoke to were all friendly, helpful and polite. The food was very good - the heritage tomatoes starter was incredible!! I’d definitely book this place again if I’m in the area.

The only downside for me was no mirror in my bedroom - other than the one in the bathroom where the lighting was no good for doing make up. I just used the one in my daughter’s room but I think this should be an easy fix.

Pub was v quiet for a Saturday night - which was nice for us staying there. Enjoyed the pool table. Staff were really friendly and helpful and were obviously doing their best in challenging circumstances.

Pub was v quiet for a Saturday night - they were understaffed and chef did his best but the food was quite ordinary - the burger tasted like a frozen burger and the salad was a bit odd with slightly tired lettuce and tinned sweetcorn. We could see they were doing their best but... it was a classic English country pub a bit out of the way and struggling a bit. Only one bedside light plugged in. Looked out over the main road and bright lights of Middle Wallop i.e. the petrol station - which is all there is in Middle Wallop

This place is instantly comfortable, clean, and cosy the minute you walk through the door. The cheerful smiling staff are fantastic and easy to talk to, and the main room seems to be one of those magic places that inspire casual conversation with whoever's around. The food, the service, the decor, and the room are top-notch. I stayed for two nights and then booked another night. Definitely recommend this place. I had a really lovely walk down to Nether Wallop and up to Over Wallop too. Went to Danbury Hill Fort just up the road. Walked the loop again the next day. Lovely stream and lots of happy cyclists, families, runners, and even horseback riders were out and about too. A delicious part of the world.

Friendly local pub with rooms above, serving local ales, Separate dining area for meals, and chef offers good choice of pub grub. Venison faggots were superb, with a couple of pints of Tally Ho dark ale. Others around me commented on how much they liked their food too. Breakfast cooked to order, just let them know the night before for what time you choose.

Rooms at front get road noise, so bring earplugs. Bedrooms would benefit from coat hooks on walls to hang clothes.

The bar was roomy but cosy with a real log fire burning. It was "open mike" night when I visited. The quality of singing and guitar playing was high. The volume of the music in the bedrooms was also too high if you wanted to watch TV or go to sleep. The English breakfast included a good quality pork sausage and was very enjoyable. The property is next to a petrol station which is very convenient for travellers.

Currently the double rooms only have double beds. My friends stayed in a different hotel because they wanted to share a room with two single beds.

Breakfast was well presented, tasted wonderfull and plenty of menu choice. The evening bar was pleasant and was well stocked with a choice good quailty drinks.

The accommodation bathroom in my room needs to be updated and showed much wear & tear. Very worn, noisey toilet when refilling, taking 10 minutes to flush again. Bathplug with no chain but only a safety pin instead.!

It was a short stay and was very comfortable. We had ordered breakfast the night before as requested. We were offered hot drinks by the Chef and he then cooked our orders. Full English and Poached eggs with smashed avocado. There was a help yourself selection of juices and cereals. The cooked items were lovely. We were in the area for a Wedding and were allowed to check in much earlier which was very much appreciated. The bedroom was large and the bed very comfortable.
