This was a lovely solo stay for a couple of nights. The staff were very friendly, the hut itself was cute and cosy, with a fully built in toilet and warm shower. It was in a good location - Stonehenge just down the road which you can hike to in ~1 hour through the fields. I was warm the whole time - plug in radiator kept it warm all day and night. TV, lots of towels, good storage, table and chair. There are 4 shepherds huts and a train carriage, all arranged nicely. Dogs are welcome everywhere. I had a lovely meal in the pub too. I will definitely be staying again.

Not a complaint but something to be aware of - no cooking, crockery or food prep facilities, only a kettle with some tea, coffee, sugar, mugs, glasses and spoons. This wasn't an issue as I ate out for every meal.

It was a last-minute gateway night with my partner. We also took our little puppy with us, and he was treated exceptionally by the members of the staff and people visiting the place. We stayed at one of the shepherd's huts, and it was lovely. Bed and amenities in the hut were great. You have everything you need. For such a small charming place, the shower was quite spacious. We had dinner at the pub, which was very nice. I didn't expect the portions to be so generous, and even though we didn't finish everything, the gentleman in charge of the place offered us a takeaway box. I would highly recommend the place to anyone. It might not be one of those fancy 4/5 stars hotels, but it's definitely a lovely place with loads of charm to stay.

What did we like? It was great value and wonderfully quirky - not just the miniature Stonehenge in the Car Park, but the room too. We needed a family room and we would have never guessed from the approach to the room that it had a full wall mural of a Roman Bath with water reflected painted ceiling. it was a simple room, but just so odd and that it wasn't at all expensive, it gave us everything we needed and was quite unexplainable. Just over the road was Woodhenge and Durrington Walls that link to Stonehenge just a few miles away, so we made a morning of it locally.

What didn't we like? Well - nothing really. We didn't expect much and just needed a room for the night to break a journey after a funeral and found something unexpected that lifted our mood.

Room was terrific. Not fancy, just clean crisp sheets, extremely spacious, floorboarded room with a wonderfully large bathroom ensuite and excellent hot water. TV was well positioned and plenty of tea and coffee supplies. We didn’t need heating, due to afternoon sun, but in addition to the wall panel water heaters, there were 2 space heaters. Pub downstairs had a great selection of beers and ciders on tap.

Hotel meal deals were small portions. We ate our ‘bargain’ meal and had to go out and eat again elsewhere. If salad bar had been included, it would have been a satisfying meal, but alas, it wasn’t. We chose not to pay for buffet breakfast and headed into another town for an enormous breakfast for half the price.

Me and my partner spent the bank holiday Sunday at this shepherd hut. It was only for one night on the way back from somewhere else but it was a lovely stay. The shepherds huts are really nicely decorated, we had one with a London scene painted on the ceiling. The shepherds huts are in a yard in the pub but even though they are next to each other they were still enough privacy. You can have breakfast in the pub which was £12.50 for a buffet I believe, we didn't have the breakfast but we did have an evening meal there and it was really nice. Overall I would recommend this place. It's handy for Stonehenge and Woodhenge is literally a few minutes down the road. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing springs to mind

I loved how unique the property was and how as many of the original features as possible were incorporated into the design of the accommodation. All the staff we met were extremely helpful and friendly.

I think the table in the bedroom needs to be taller. It is uncomfortably low at the moment. Also, my husband is 6’ 2” and so he found the shower a little awkward as it was far too low for him. We only stayed for one night so it wasn’t too much of a problem but just thought I would mention this for people to consider if you are planning a longer stay.

Liked Everything, weather was awful, arrived unexpectedly the day before my booking & at first quite dubious. Once I asked to book in the night before meeting my family there, everything changed. The Shepherds Huts, railway carriage & a double was cosy, warm, welcoming. Staff bent over backwards to help. Highly recommend spending a night there, food, drink prices good value for money. It felt family-run, as they really care. Very friendly clientele. You just have to experience it! Thank you 2 all the staff, you were fabulous

Location was perfect for our trip. Kids loved the softplay bus. We stayed in family room, door number 8. Room was a good size for a family of 4. Staff were helpful and accommodating regarding food allergies and cooked food separately. Dinner meals were big portions and tasty. Drinks from the bar were reasonably priced. Breakfast was nice and good selection of food to choose from.

The ceiling in the bathroom was damaged (paint peeling) and hadn't been repaired, but didn't affect the use of the room. The toilet wobbled a lot when you sat on it.

Very cute space, beds very comfortable. Staff were lovely, especially the first lady we met (think pub manager)

The room was super hot and in quite close proximity to the other huts, meaning that when the windows were open you could hear the main road and other guests (there was a guy up until very late/early morning playing music on his laptop in the middle the huts meaning we didn't get much sleep. Would suggest putting in some guidelines for guests to be respectful of others. We also felt that for over 100 a night, breakfast would have been great to have been included.

Location is great. Few minutes away from stonehenge. There is a sainsbury local in walking distance, parking is great. A restaurant right under the Inn is so convenient and the food is yummy. The beds are so comfortable and the room was big. We are family of 3 we were given a room that can fit 4. 1 double bed and a bunk bed. After a tiring drive from midlands and a day in stonehenge, this Inn gave us the comfort of home away from home. Plus, the mini stonehenge replica is so cute!!! I recommend this Inn to all who wants to visit the rocks!! Worth it..
