After hiking all day on the South Kaibab Trail in the Grand Canyon, we were exhausted and making the late drive to Sedona. When we received a call from a staff member of the Southwest Inn in Sedona. He was doing a welfare check on us. When we arrived he had extra pillows ready for our tired bodies. When does that happen these days. It was a touch of class rarely seen anymore. The large room was excellent with a fireplace and a private balcony that gave us a great view of the Sedona mountains. My wife loved the breakfast omelet and pancakes. We stayed in three hotels over our five day trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon, they were all very nice, but the Southwest Inn in Sedona was the best. Bill from Clewiston
We didn't have more days to spend in Sedona.

The facility and our room was clean. Breakfast was good, however limited, the egg "omelette" was the warm part of the meal and were fine, there were pancakes as well. Cereal, yogurt dispenser with toppings, hard boiled egg, toast, and bagels also available. Extra towels, coffee, etc... available for pick up at the office if you need them for your room or pool. The pool was small but we were the only ones using it so it was fine, hot tub was nice and not too hot to enjoy. The staff was very helpful. Try and book straight through the facility, we were on motorcycles and had a mechanical issue and thought we may have to shorten our stay. The staff said they would gladly refund the remainder of our stay if we needed to leave, but, booking.com had no one to speak with so unfortunately we weren't able to make arrangements with Southwest at Sedona.
I can't say there was anything I didn't like, however, I would prefer to have housekeeping come through and replace towels and empty the trash.

Staff was nice and helpful. Accommodations were comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. The little restaurant and hotel grounds were kept up.I liked having a fireplace in the room and jetted tub. Complementary bottle of wine was very nice. I appreciated the water in the lobby and the little snacks.
Though he was very nice, the young man at the front desk was flirtatious, which I felt was unprofessional. I was not offended, but just wanted to point that out. Also, no bars of soap for the tub area. The fireplace and the heating/cooling unit made noise.

I loved the stay here. Property was clean, safe, with very nice amenities. The pool and pool area were especially a nice bonus. Just a little refuge to hang out and read a book and dip in the pool. The property was quiet, and convenient to local sites, hikes, and restaurants. Local Juicery in particular is a great spot, and just a block's walk away. The staff onsite were very helpful and courteous. Room had a spacious shower and bathroom, very comfortable beds, and the fridge and TV were excellent. No complaints, great value and lovely place to stay while visiting Sedona.
The only thing that was lacking was the breakfast. The space upstairs where they host was great, but the food was not. We tried it one morning and it was pretty low quality, so we opted not to take advantage of it the other mornings. The hard-boiled eggs were inedible, the hot bar was unappealing, and there weren't a lot of other options. I think it's the one thing they could improve about the property.

Beds were very comfortable, and though this might be a well-loved hotel, i.e., not the newest, it is in very good condition, very clean, has a pleasing design and a good location. Even though we had ground floor rooms opening to the parking lot, I felt safe. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool or hot tub facilities since we got our fill of water at Slide Rock, but they looked well maintained and clean, and saw older couples by the pool reading and a few other guests socializing in the hot tub. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sedona. Liked the gas fire place in the room, even ran it briefly before bed just for the ambience.
Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, but Sedona has a lot to offer, from the hot bar at Whole Foods to lovely cafes if you want to splurge a little. We brought our own cream for coffee and fruit to augment. At least they had eggs, and the coffee was tasty, which is all I really need first thing!

The property is very clean with a very nice decor. The beds were very comfortable and our balcony had a great view of the red rock mountains. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was really good. Don’t hesitate booking this place. The price and location is great. Everything you need is within minutes included trails and overlooks. I will def be staying here next time we are in Sedona!!!
Nothing- everything was great

The room was sweet and cozy with a southwest decor and a gas fireplace to take the night chill off. The bed was super-comfortable and we had a beautiful view from our balcony. Not crazy about breakfast.
Breakfast. The “omelettes” were cold and had to be microwaved, the food area was limited in size with one microwave and one toaster. I had a bagel and a banana and appreciate that and the good coffee.

The room was very comfortable with plenty of space, really nicely decorated with the southwest theme. We appreciated two luggage racks, the ceiling fans, great lights in the bathroom area, blackout curtains that really did serve to block the early morning sun and the fireplace was a nice touch though we didn't use it due to AZ heat. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Breakfast, which is included, was adequate for a quick get away.

Great view, nice large patios. Super clean hot tub & pool. most staff very pleasant. Good location with free accessible parking. close to trails.
Breakfast is a total disaster. no staff to provide any answers. such as - how long to heat up the omelet that is in the fridge, do you have peanut butter, etc etc. Morning guy with dog very unapproachable and ignores patrons. Crappy cheap pastries just left on the counter with a lid and yogurt toppings sitting in weird area with no serving utensils. Place is over priced for area and what they offer. Bed was comfy enough but bottom sheet has lost all its elastic and comes off every time you sit or sleep on it. Yuck.
