Great location, staff were all very helpful and super friendly. I do not think I've ever stayed at a hotel where the staff always greeted me and asked how my days was, etc. Even when there was a booking issue when I was checking-in, they made the effort to look into it and guaranteed the same rate that was booked originally. Our room was clean and had a beautiful view of the pool and mountains.

I found the walls in the room a bit thin (so I was able to hear conversations and/or TV/music next door). If they are able to make some sound proofing that would be great. I also thought that it was a bit odd there was not a phone in the room and you had to call/text/email the hotel on your own phone. I did not see the contact information in the room (but there was signage in the hallways), so I think having a sign in the room with that information would be a good idea.

My family enjoyed just about everything about The Dunes. The pool, jacuzzi and peaceful poolside area with the mountainous backdrop was a really welcome piece of our trip. Our room was clean and satisfactory, the location was right in line with what we sought and the staff was very nice and accommodating.

Not too many demerits, but we needed more and/or stronger lighting in our room. Also, the outdoor hallways are tight when the maid staff is working and their carts are out. Not much that can be done about that with the older structure of the remodeled hotel.

Property and room was very clean and as expected from photos. The hot tub was awesome to end the day. Location was very convenient to everything and felt safe.

The door to our room was getting stuck and very loud. We did eventually realize that to quietly shut it, we had to lift it up as we closed it. The rooms also can get a bit noisy with the neighbors. we had someone above us walking in heels constantly at all hours, and there is no carpet in the rooms so it was quite loud. we also had one neighbor next to us leave their TV playing super loud music and it vibrated the wall / bed. I wish the rooms were a bit more sound proof.

Newly renovated hotel, in the perfect location, with Palm Springs vibes.

I really enjoyed the large heated pool , sunbeds , and hot tub. After dark , the pool and hot tub area lights up and you can use them until 10 pm. There was a vending machine , water cooler , ice machine , and 2 microwaves not far from the pool. There was a green grass area with tables and chairs , as well as sun tan beds and 2 hammocks. I really liked the hammocks. The room was very modern. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows , great quality large tv with lots of channels , a fridge , desk , nice lamps and lights , a comfortable chair with a small round table in front of it. The shower was very modern with an excellent shower head and great water pressure. There were lots of towels and face cloths. Air conditioner/heating was great with 3 levels to choose from. Nice lobby with friendly staff. Excellent value at a very good price. Also , nice Christmas decorations. The location was perfect for me , with a grocery store right across the street , where I could buy groceries and sun screen. Ihop was a 3 minute walk , and had many breakfast and lunch items. I loved the pancakes and French toast. Excellent coffee with free refills. I loved the salmon dinner. There was also another restaurant with breakfast/lunch options right next to The Dunes. One day I had breakfast on their outdoor patio , and got a takeout order Turkey club sandwich meal (real turkey) , to eat later on that day. Being in a good location with restaurants and grocery store was important for me because I came by plane to Palm Springs , and didn't have a vehicle to drive places. Having everything nearby , in walking distance was very convenient. In summary , I had a great stay at The Dunes , and would love to come back on my next vacation.

There was a coffee machine in the room , but no ready made coffee in the lobby , which would have been nice , but it wasn't a problem because I had coffee at Ihop restaurant that had free refills , plus they gave me a free coffee to take with me . So it's all good .

Great facilities - Well designed and warmly decorated lobby with lots of furniture and areas for relaxation and entertainment. The hotel's stylish decor is a unique mix of contemporary design and mid century chic. Beautiful pool, hot tub, entertainment room and a fitness centre. The hotel room my family stayed at had stunning views of the nearby mountain with the palm trees and open sky making for beautiful sunrise and sunset viewing. The hotel is very conveniently located being only a few minutes walk to the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Multiple restaurants and cafes nearby with a supermarket just across the road. Ample parking space. Easy to access surrounding and other sightseeing sites by walking, cycling or car. There is a filtered water fountain which allowed my family to refill our water bottles anytime (very important especially when it gets hot!). Coffee, tea, water kettle, towels and toiletries are all provided. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would consider again in the future.

Only a few minor points (nothing major): -A bit more space/shelf for clothing would be good. -Some more closet lighting would be convenient -The toilet is located a bit too close to the side wall with the toilet paper dispenser

the location, pool and out door areas were great. the staff was so helpful snd kind. our only complaint was that the rooms didn't have enough lighting in the evening it was quite dark another lamp or 2 would have been nice. we were in room 327. also when we turned on the heat a bit in the evening it smelled really bad maybe needs dust to be cleaned off smelled like burning. oh and hot or cold water took ages to get hot or cold felt very wasteful to run a bunch of water down the drain while waiting to get in tk the shower or have cold water to drink...but we truly enjoyed our stay in most all the ways and would cone back. thank you

The room was clean and comfortable and fairly spacious. The location was excellent and they were welcoming to my dog.

Sound really carries if you have a room facing the pool. My room had a door that was adjoining the room next-door so I could hear a lot from the people in there. The real problem is not so much the hotel as inconsiderate people slamming doors at 6AM and talking loudly in the jacuzzi area at 11PM. Pool hours started at 7 AM so there were also people swimming and making a bunch of noise at that time on one morning of my stay. You can’t fault the hotel for people having bad manners, but the rooms definitely aren’t soundproof. One small thing is that there are no drawers or shelves to put your clothes on, but there are some hangers.
