Despite being located just next to the Tenderloin area, security was great once I was in the property and I felt safe while inside. I was surprised that in the small amount of space, the hotel was able to provide a fitness centre and I enjoyed working out in there.

The amount of space in the room was not ideal for solo-travelling as it had two queen-sized beds and if the room can be customised to just have one of them, it will feel more spacious for me as a solo-traveller.

The property and room were clean, you needed a room key to access the lobby and the elevator, so it felt very secure. Staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. There’s a cafe in the lobby so easy access to coffee (although it’s expensive). It’s a small hotel, which made the experience feel a bit more personal. Great if you’re travelling on a budget.

Although the room and hotel were both clean, the fridge smelled like death whenever we opened it, so we weren’t able to use it. The location was both good and bad. Good because it was walking distance to several bars, restaurants, and Chinatown. Bad because it was right on the edge of the Tenderloin, so you it was a little sketch sometimes and you have to be very aware of your surroundings and where you’re walking because you can very easily stumble right in to the Tenderloin if you’re paying attention.

Good location, staff were hustling and terrific - valets, everyone at the front desk (Anna, Mia, Edmon) - just wonderful and helpful. Made my stay very enjoyable!

It’s in a part of San Fran that is not very optimal - security was great and made me feel very safe. Only drawback is there is a urine smell as soon as I stepped outside the hotel. And I had to avoid stepping on feces on my way to and from Union Square. But I don’t think you can control that so I don’t blame you.

In a perfect location just up from Union Square and easy to get around from there

It is a value for money hotel. There are restaurants near the place. The staff were friendly as well.

There's no parking space nearby so we had to use the valet service which was a bit expensive. The location of the hotel is not the most ideal place. Lastly, the air condition was not working well. It was a bit warm in the room we stayed in even if the temperature is the lowest setting already.

The vibe

Billing mistake, there is still a $400 pending charges on my debit card that has not been released 5 days after our stay there, it was a prepaid booking thru Booking.com, but was still billed in error on my card and still has not been reversed after theyve promised a prompt action will be taken for their error, an unnecessary inconvenience.

The location was great. The room was very comfortable and the hotel had all the facilities we enjoy.

It takes the valet a very long time to bring the car. We pre-booked the time we needed the car as it took a long time on the first day and even then it came later than requested. If you have a flight to catch - it’s a bit stressful.

Love the security feature to make customers feel safer.

I found hair in the sink and in the shower and in the sheets. I would recommend that their house keepers make sure tonchange the sheets and throughly clean the rooms and not rush through it. Especially when you have people paying good money to stay at the hotel

The room was clean. The bathroom was really small. The location was ok. I was just not use to being around that many homeless people.

Small bathroom. No microwave in the room. It was one downstairs, but more convenient in my room.

Clean, no stair access and very quiet. Downside was that there was no natural light. There was a fridge and good coffee making facilities.

Natural light in the room. The sockets were not placed in useful positions for the hair dryer nor the coffee machine.
