I wish the hot items were hot...I enjoy the eggs and breakfast meats, however whether I went at 630am when they opened or at 930am....the eggs were always cold....meats not warm....great choices....just not hot

This hotel is very good. Check in superfast may be because we did pre check in formalaties sent on email earlier. Reception provided two bottles water at check in. Nice !. Vrry spacious lobby and ground area, nice atmosphere and no congesstion. Lifts very fast. Only about 4 floors.The location very convenient to the tram/ cable cars two locations . Pier39 just 15 minutes walk. Safe neighbourhood. Please note after 9 pm its just boaring all shops closed. So if going for dinner better before 9pm. Room very spacious and all placed well in the room.

Most of the hotels offer check in times very late now. Its not fair for customers. Booking. Com should start some kind of regulations to hotels. Check in very late/ check out early. This hotel at least accomodated our requests. The room we got 4619 or somethibg right infront of the buss depot. Its bad as if we open the curtains the depot is just in front. Deposit too much. No food in the hotel after dinner time.

They take my request of clean, quiet & connecting room seriously. They log my request into their system which helps to check in easily. The bed was very comfortable. The fireplace adds a cozy touch to the environment. Location is fantastic. Alot of Food walking distance away and Trader’s Joe is a great place to get some grocery. Breakfast is simple and good for us. Pancake, fruits etc. The street don’t feel unsafe. the wharf area and around the hotel at night doesn’t feel unsafe although there a few homeless but they usually keep to themselves. Overall we enjoy our stay.

Heater too noisy but the comfortable bed helps. Shower water pressure is weak. Variety of breakfast will be good esp for those staying for 3 days or more.

Highly recommend. Close to the hop-on hop-off bus, Fisherman's wharf and public transport. Can walk to piers from here for Alcatraz and the Bay Cruise etc. Can walk to many tourist attractions from here. Breakfast was amazing! Was busy but we were seated every time in 5 minutes. Easy and quick check-in and check-out. Return of deposit very quick. Very comfy beds and pillows, wonderful showers. Huge tv. Very clean room. On-site small place for snacks to go was great.

I loved it here, however, would have liked cheaper parking offered to guests, and filtered water dispenser available to guests as we did pay a facility fee. But all in all, this would not prevent me from staying again.

The hotel is very nice. The staff is super friendly and professional. The room is nice and clean. They have a lot of choices for the breakfast which is included with the stay. The pool is clean and warm. I love the pillows- all of them are soft and big, which helped my sleep the most during the trip. I also like the location, its very close by to almost everything that I liked to see, do and explored like boat tours, sea lion, cable car, union square, shopping at pier 39, live music, crap stations, very good food at local stands and restaurants with walking distant.

I stayed for 5 nights total. My most uncomfortable was that My room was next to the big road which was very noisy at night and day time all the time which not helping with sleep or relax in the room. I did like the breakfast included with the stay, however the way it set up was not always convenience, like my friend and I have to be there together to eat at the same time- which she is a night owl and prefers to have late breakfast while Im an early bird and wanted to have early breakfast. The time my friend and I were there, we wished that they had an indoor pool instead of the heated outdoor pool. due to the wind was so strong and the weather was cold, we couldn’t enjoy it.

Location is good and safe. Staff are super hard working and amazing. Breakfast ok if you’re doing short stay. One day they forgot to replace our towels the maid, I requested from RIU app and towels where there in 10 min.

Mattress was too soft for me and it was sinking if you where on a side. Same with pillows too soft. The hotel lobby mini shop is over priced and the sandwiches they offer ( I tried hot one disgusting) are over priced. But then the 7/11 nearby is even worse. Breakfast queues are horrendous. But staff are praise for this place and they try to accomodate as much people they could. We where 7 days here after day 3 I was tired of the same breakfast everyday. The whole thing also was stressful. 3 days parking was $180. Ridiculous. But so are other parking in San Francisco even worse than here. Water pressure in shower and baisin both very weak.

Location of hotel was fabulous to walk everywhere. We came with a rental vehicle and I liked that you could park underground as part of the hotel. Parking is expensive in San Francisco (you need to pay extra) but I was happy not to have to worry about the car. The breakfasts were amazing (exceeded expectations), the staff were well organized. Given the amount of people in for breakfast, the staff was like a well oiled machine. I would definitely stay here again!

This is for other travelers with a vehicle as a "heads up" only. The entrance is a bit tricky to find as it seems like you are driving into an alley and it isn't very obvious on google maps. We drove around the hotel until we figured out we were supposed to drive into what looked like an alley way. Not a big deal but would be trickier in the dark.

I love the location everything is walking distance. Room are clean beds were pretty comfortable. Bell service they both were fantastic. It was quite around the areas. It was nice the bus system very close to the property.

I didn't like check in line is about 10-20min. It was about 230-300 pm on Wednesday. our taxi driver told us it a popular location so there is a lot of people in that property. even doing check online save little time. IDs were required for all the members of the family members. And we didn't like there weren't any microwave in room. It 20 dollars to warm up the food your brought from Any store. The buffet is all right. It a 5-7 min wait. They will seat you when check in with party..only thing was good is strawberries and the bacon....we didn't do it our last day because. We didn't want to get into the hustle of buffet...

The hotel was great. The breakfast was really fantastic and was not a Continental breakfast like other hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to all of the places we planned to see. To get to the Golden Gate Bridge, we took the 28 bus that was a few feet from the hotel instead of taking an Uber to the bridge. We were able to walk 10 mins to Pier 39 to see the sea lions and get great food @ The Crab House food and ice cream @ Gelato. We truly enjoyed our stay at Riu and plan on trying the hotel international.

The windows were dirty throughout the hotel. Check-in could have been more organized. As the lobby received more guests, there should have been someone directing guests to form a line.

The fact that we actually had a 'view' of the street was a bonus; usually when we book rooms in Fishermans Wharf we get an inner courtyard / air conditioning unit, but unfortunately it overlooked a bus terminal. Great tourist location. Amazing (free) breakfast spread; surprised it's not advertised more - it's a HUGE plus!!

Facilities are a bit dated; I think being down by the water it's hard to keep up the buildings. Windows were filthy, to the point all you could see was dirt. We didn't have enough pillows and it was too late to request them. Blankets were lackluster/thin- what happened to fluffy hotel comforters?
