The property is great. We had a 1 bedroom suite. The living room was comfortable for the kids with a murphy bed and sofa bed. I loved having a fridge and microwave. The room was very clean and serviced daily. It’s right across the street from the ocean with a great view. Although if you’re paying for a suite, it would be better to ask for the second floor for the same price. The location can’t be beat. Across the street from the beach and between the boardwalk and the pier. We didn’t use our car the entire weekend. The pool and hot tub are great to have at the end of the day.

There is currently construction right next door. Overnight, there were loud beeping noises coming from the machines. It was loud enough to interfere with the kids sleep.

Location could not be better. We stayed in an ocean view room on the 2nd floor. Great views from our room and balcony. Room was spacious and very clean. Beach access was super close, just down some stairs, cross the street, and your feet are in the sand. Our boys especially loved being near the volleyball courts- great for watching some excellent play and trying ourselves with some other families who were also enjoying the beach. The little complimentary treats throughout the day made it especially memorable for our kids- hot chocolate and made to order coffees/tea in the morning, snow cones in the afternoon, and popcorn and tea in the evening! We really enjoyed the monterey bay exploration museum, which was just steps away, as well! We were really surprised there was no entrance fee. Well worth checking out, even for just a quick walkthrough. We could not be happier with our stay and are certain to visit again!

Location is perfect by the beach- just cross one road and you are on the boardwalk! Parking inside a courtyard felt safe and was easy (15 USD). Our room faced the poolarea. The pool is quite small, but children liked it. Firepit at night was cool. Complementary coffee in the morning, iceshavings in the afternoon and popcorn at night was a nice surprise. Comfortable beds and a wonderful & big bathroom. The hotel has a laundryroom - big plus for those on a longer trip!

Was nothing to dislike! Perhaps a bit expensive but then this is high season!

Our main reason for visiting Santa Cruz was to spend time at the Boardwalk and go aboard the holiday train. Beach Street Inn was walking distance to both. We also chose a room with a beach view. Despite it being only one night, we enjoyed our stay.

Overall, the visit was excellent. The patio was a plus, but I just wished each room's balcony was separated. Essentially, guests can easily peek into neighboring rooms if possible. This would be ideal if visiting with friends and family though.

The location was perfect and the room was cozy! Checking in and out was very smooth. The front desk ladies were both super nice. Loved the feeling of being secured at night with the gates closed and locked. The views were perfect and easy access to the boardwalk! I could go on about this place all and all 10/10! We will be back next year! Will recommend this place to anyone.

The only thing was the tv could use a upgrade the contrast on it was very blown out so everyone on the tv looked very badly sunburned haha. Really no negative to the hotel at all though! I thought it was a great place to stay!

The staff was extremely friendly and provided lots of useful information. I loved the fact that they have a free coffee bar, with a side window to order FREE coffee drinks from 6am-11am. They also offered free popcorn and hot chocolate in the afternoons. The location was ideal and easy access to the beach and back to your room. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the shared balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Even our neighbors were friendly. The cleaning staff was also readily available for extra towels and confirmed on whether we wanted our rooms cleaned or not.

The view is magnificent! Our double room was spacious, comfortable, with an amazing large double shower, and best of all overlooked Cowell Beach right across the street.

It was at first very difficult to find and drive into the entrances/exits. Because we came for 3 nightly performances of Santa Cruz Shakespeare finding our way back in the dark when the Beach St entrance was closed was challenging. It would help to have the SIGN for the Second St entrance (a one-way street) BETTER LIT.

Great view of the beach from our front door (with 2 chairs out front) and a short walk across the street to play in the sand. About a 10 min walk to the boardwalk. Our room had a microwave and small fridge and we could get plates and silverware upon request. Morning coffee and lattes were at the front office. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner was quiet and effective. We did the Roaring Camp Train ride and could walk to the stop. Loved seeing the seals under the wharf.

An elevator would have been nice as my husband has a bad knee and there were stairs to get to the beach. He managed but it was slow. Usually I think of the beach as being to the west and the sunset over the beach but with this location the beach is south and the sunset is behind the hotel. Took some getting used too.

The location is awesome. Restaurants and shops are right in front at the bottom of the stairs. The beach is just across the street and the Boardwalk is only one block down. The hotel is modern, clean and perfect for a get away. The fire pit near the pool is a great place to relax and chat. The office amenities are delicious...flavored coffee's, popcorn, snowcones, cocoa and cookies....what more could you ask for? 😋

There was only one issue. Unfortunately, one of the beds was lumpy.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable. And the location of the property was excellent They also had a free laundry facility which was a surprise. And a firepit!

There was no coffee making facilities in the room, you had to go to reception to get a cup of coffee - not ideal for when you wake up in the morning and would like a drink. The TV was quite difficult to understand and kept switching over to streaming for no reason.
