Excellent location, close to all central streets and cafes. Really bright, nice and clean rooms (not the usual black and white), an amazing owner. Fridge, coffee machine, a couple bottles of water available in the room. We also asked for an extra bed, and they were able to accommodate it. Super easy check in (a code that you get in the morning).

The parking is tight, there was just one space left when we arrived around 5:30 pm. But there was street parking as well. One thing that was really challenging - wi-fi. Messengers worked, but that was pretty much it - it was impossible to use the wi-fi for something like google maps or movies.

We loved the location, right on Mission Drive. We could walk to all the great restaurants! And, although there was no ice machine on property, they did have 4 ice trays in the mini freezer. Loved the touch of the Danish flag and the lady at the front desk was very helpful!

It wasn't a big deal, but the furniture was oddly laid out, so we did a little "rearranging." Also, they need an overhead light in the nook where the refrigerator and coffee bar was located. We also felt the bathroom could use a little TLC. The floor grout along the wall in 105 was really rough. It definitely could use some sprucing up. And a few hooks & a towel bar would be useful.

Furnishings exceeded expectations - clever designing provided counter space with seating, comfortable love seat for relaxing, many options to store your belongings in accessible manner. Also very attractive, even a cute retro style mini-fridge, along with a microwave. Spic and Span clean! Location is "in town" near great restaurants, but not in the center of the madness and crowds.

Advertised coffee maker turned out to be a hot pot kettle with instant coffee (yuck!). Brewed coffee should be available, even if only in the lobby. If you want a view, this is not your place. Trade-off is price and convenience of having your car parked right in front of your room.

The young man who checked me in was friendly and welcoming. I stayed in Room 8. The room was pretty clean and cute, and looked just like the photos. The air conditioning and plumbing both worked very well - AC nice and cool, toilet working, sink drained quickly, water was good and hot. Those are "make or break" factors for me, so I was happy there. The bed was comfortable for me, the pillows plush, and plenty of bedsheets. TV worked fine. They have 2 for 1 wine tasting passes in the office, which is nice (I was on a solo trip, but still cool). The location is excellent - I adore walking right out into Solvang!

I didn't realize there was not a microwave, so that was a bit disappointing. The value for the price is questionable for me, it's a pretty minimal room. But I know Solvang is expensive to stay in. I'm just glad I got a decent price to stay 2 weekdays. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay. I would stay again as long as I could get a reasonable deal again!

I enjoyed how it was close to all restaurants and attractions. Also the staff was nice and we were able to get additional items like cups etc.

I noticed there was ants and dust in the room and towels had stains and there was also a left over dirty towel that was hidden behind couch that needed to be picked up from previous people that stayed. Also the sink wouldn’t drain well when we came to use.

The Staff and Associates is ONE of THE BEST( Cordial ,Attentive, Accommodating and Engaging), I've EVER Seen. Anytime You Needed ANYTHING, Staff IMMEDIATELY Responded. Also, After hour Contact is Available. THANK YOU, STAFF. The Location is to DREAM FOR...VERY CLOSE To ALL THE Shops, Restaurants, and Bakeries. Very Quiet LOCATION. Gorgeous Rooms. The Facilities seemed VERY Clean. FREE Parking, BUT First Come, First Served. Loved The NO CONTACT and Simple CHECK IN Procedures. My Wife was Really Impressed, Especially with it being MORE Intimate because ONLY a Dozen Rooms or So.

Although, Very Comfortable, Still felt slightly Cramped(incl Parking Lot) for Two People, At Times. If You're in a CERTAIN Room, You can Constantly hear the Sounds from Above, ESPECIALLY Footsteps and Doors shutting or slamming. The ONLY Downfall was lack of a Microwave.

Quite simply this is the best deal in Solvang. We've stayed BUNCHES of times. Also, occasionally, we've stayed in other (MUCH more expensive) places in town. Solvang is charming, and we stop / drive through overnight several times a year. The Hamlet is a motel - not a fancy hotel -- but right in the middle of everything. The rooms are simple Scandinavian style, and have recently been renovated. It couldn't be more convenience, and free parking RIGHT in front of your room. Also, free bikes to use when going around town.

It's all good, but,,,if you're a light sleeper, you might not want the room that faces the main drag (although it's rarely an issue)

The price for the room was excellent. Centrally located, very close to shopping, restaurants, and the theater. The room was very clean, and comfortable. The tv did not work initially, but the staff corrected the issue right away. The staff was extremely friendly, and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Wish the room had a microwave, and more than one cup for the coffee. The shower went from warm to extremely hot while in the shower, so had to watch the temperature.

Location- You are right in the middle of Solvang. Easy to park and walk around the area! Comfort- bed and pillow were so comfortable felt like I was in my old bed, refrigerator, coffee maker, blow dryer, desk Access- I received an email before my arrive and was told to precheck- no in person check in and was given a code to enter room- left at my check out time with ease Wifi available- Cleanliness- Super clean- every corner looked clean Noise- family friendly hotel, quiet, simple Room- updated Price- great price for this place

I loved the location, the aesthetic, the bed, and the Pride Flag flown in the front. As a gay couple when we travel, even if it’s hear in friendly California, there’s often a quiet voice in the back of our heads that asks “are we welcome here?”. When we saw that flag our front we new we were welcome, and we were safe. On top of a nice room! The contactless check in was wonderful as well, since I very recently had been battling a cold and was still a bit stuffy and coughing, the extra protection for guests and staff with the contactless check in was cool.
