The view! And Adirondack chairs, grassy area, and the pools were big and clean! It had an old time cape cod feel! Good nostalgia. Staff was helpful! It was an older hotel but I like it! The bathroom doorframe could be replaced. And maybe new rugs besides that I wouldn’t change anything! I liked how the rooms were set up! I would add key access so you can go in and out the slider door! The cafe food was very good too! Better than pancake man breakfast! Location was great too! Price was awesome! My children and I had a really nice stay!

The staff were great. Our room was bigger than expected and the lighting brighter than most places where we have stayed. We loved seeing the beautiful, peaceful view of the water from our room. The price was very good. Security was good for entering the building where our room was.

The beds were very soft and need to be replaced. Our room had two double beds. My husband had back aches when he got up after sleeping on his bed. Switching to my bed would not have made a difference.

Very comfortable beds. Wonderful pillows! Nice sized TV and good lighting. The fixed the "issue" with not enough outlets in the rooms, so there really aren't any complaints! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. There is a "like coming home" greeting at each stay! It is often the staff that makes or breaks a business. And the staff here has always been world-class.

I heard that they will no longer be a year-round destination. :-( I've been staying at Tidewater on every short trip to the Cape for over 20 years. I'm disappointed that I'll now have to find another place to stay. There's a "family feeling" when staying there, and I fear this will all be lost. I'm also disappointed for the staff that will now have to find other employment during the off-season. Some have been there for as long as I can remember.

We almost stayed here a few years ago but chose sister location Hunter's Green instead, which we loved, but unfortunately was rebranded and became much more expensive so we chose Tidewater this year due to the fact it was run by the same people, affordable, and had equally good reviews. Our room was very clean, very comfortable, location perfect for the Barnstable/Hyannis/Yarmouth/Dennis area, the pool was clean and well maintained, the staff very polite and personable. For being right on Rt. 28, overall a quiet location. Met some really nice people. Very happy with our week, thank you very much!

The only thing the room lacked, like Hunter's, was a better sized refrigerator. Sad to hear Tidewater is going to be redone like Hunter's which became Freebird, so presumably the rates will go up significantly. There's something to be said for clean, comfortable, and most of all cost effective lodging without having to be "cool" or "trendy." Many people we met during our week had also formerly stayed at Hunter's and came to Tidewater for the same reasons we did. One in fact was our "next door neighbor" three years ago. We'd love to come back again, but we'll see what happens on the other side of the makeover.

Room with King bed & hot tub were great to relax in in private.plenty of pillows & nice towels & hot water! Mirror & sink outside of bathroom is handy. They also have indoor & outdoor pools! Pretty river views in back. TV & fast wifi! Both came on immediately, no problem all 5 days! Central location on Cape. Minutes from Hyannis. 1 hour to p-town. Near Pirates Cove mini golf!

Helen's diner on property was only open to 10! & in fact when we went it was closed & deserted at 945. We never tried again. We aren't ear)y birds! Bed was extremely soft! Turned out very comfy! Because of the whirlpool tub it could get musty. AC could cool but didn't seem to get all the dampness out. Minor thing. Just 4 drawers in the TV cabinet with a small refrigerator & we couldn't get 2 of them open.

The Tidewater is a great bargain. The beds are VERY comfortable. My husband and I used to stay there all the time but we bought a house on the Cape a few years ago and hadn't been there since. We sold the house this morning and we stayed at the Tidewater last night. As usual, the staff and the beds were my favorite part. You're not getting anything super fancy at the Tidewater but it's clean and it's comfortable and the property is well maintained, for the most part. It really is the best deal on the Cape. Everything is so outrageously priced on the Cape but the Tidewater remains reasonable. Is this the nicest place you're ever gonna stay? Geez, I hope not. But it's nice enough for sure and the price is great. The staff go out of their way for you and the property is very family friendly. It's great for couples or people with young children. We have stayed there about 15 times and have never had a bad experience. In 2020, when the world went crazy and you literally weren't even allowed to book a hotel room on the Cape unless you were an essential worker, they helped us out. My father-in-law was living in Yarmouth and he got very sick. We live in the Berkshires and needed to be on Cape while he was hospitalized. The Tidewater helped us out. When he died in July, they helped us out again. My husband stayed at the Tidewater for 2 weeks while we settled dad's estate and had a funeral. We love the Tidewater ❤️ The rooms are good. The pool is fabulous. The BBQ grills and picnic tables are a nice touch. There's a cute, well maintained lawn where you can picnic with your family if you're tired of spending a gazillion dollars to eat out. It's centrally located to the main attractions mid Cape. There's a mini golf course across the street and a Dunkin Donuts around the corner. It's a 5 minutes drive to multiple beaches and did I mention the beds????

Super friendly staff, location and cleanliness. Mark, Marcia and our room service staff (can't remember her name, but I know it started with an O and she was super friendly) we stayed in room 39; they were all excellent and made our 3 day stay awesome!

Our only knock was that the pools, both indoor and outdoor, could have been a tad bit warmer. Other than that, everything was excellent! We'll definitely be back!

Room was very spacious and easily able to accommodate the two of us. The hotel had both and indoor and outdoor pool which were great for relaxing and cooling off after the very hot and humid days we had there. Location for Cape Cod and ferry's to Martha's Vineyard are excellent.

Bed was a too soft for my liking but that is personal preference and rooms could do with a little bit of modernisation.

Great property. Our room was at the back of the property by the water. We enjoyed sitting in the adirondack chairs by the water and watching the ducks and birds. Also the room has a porch or balcony with chairs, this was wonderful to sit out at night. The pool facility was great, with a lot of seating and clean. The amenities were great, We had use of microwave by the pool (would be nicer in room), coffee pot in room, refrigerator in room, ironing board and iron, and hair dryer. There is a restaurant right next to the the rooms, as part of the motel. It was closed while we there. I assume it opens after Memorial day. We thought that was extra special to have on site. Motel is located so close to everything, great restaurants, shopping, beaches and attractions. We didn't have to drive very far.

Would be nice to have a USB outlet for the phone charging. I had to go buy a block for my phone from CVS.

This is my 5th visit to Tidewater ! Very reliable as always, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and they are always available to make your experience a good one. Mostly , I appreciate the cleanliness of the entire place. They are always on site doing something to make the property look top notch! Thank you Tidewater staff for always making this a great stay!
