Great location in regards to restaurants, the lake and nightlife in the old quarter. The staff found out that it was our honeymoon and we were surprised with rose pedals and a cake in our room to congratulate us! Tom was so sweet to set this us for us. Daisy, one of the front desk attendants, was absolutely amazing. She used to be a tour guide and gave us many tips and hidden locations to check out. Make sure to chat with her. Oh! Great breakfast as well. Don’t make the mistake of not grabbing pho and viet coffee (included in the breakfast) in the morning!

Location and room were fantastic. Pool clean and with amazing views. Staff very friendly and helpful special thanks to Duon and Mia.

Not huge issue but pool needs non slip mats when exiting, I slipped over due to a kid who was bombing into the pool and splashing large amounts of water out (yes I did tell her off, showing her the rules which state "no bombing") parents were watching and did nothing. The shower floods the bathroom, I removed the drain strainer which helped reduce the water going into the bathroom. Shower door entrance probably just needs a lip edge between the two areas.

Breakfast variety is small but good enough. Staff is able to help me find a good salon nearby & provide address/directions to the salon. Mini pool and gym available, which I didn't use. Amenities provided in the room like shampoo and toothbrush etc. Overall near eating places, small shops nearby, good enough & convenient location. My love is the spa, based on recommendation by the leader of the spa, I did a salt scrub 30min then 30min massage, but I mentioned massage time is not enough, so she recommend I take another 30min relaxing massage with oil. Super clean after the scrub and massage was super good.

First time no space to sit at a hotel breakfast area, too tiny area for breakfast, co-worker had to give up his seat for me.

Staff were very help and very nice. Location was perfect. Very clean too. One thing i noticed in Vietnam was that the floors in some hotels (even way more expensive hotels than this) were dirty with hair everywhere. They will clean everything apart from the floor. But this hotel had clean floors

the rooftop wasn't as nice as the pics. The lobby wasn't the prettiest to hang out in.

I love the view while enjoying complimentary breakfast at the hotel. The pool area had towels readily available for guests and there was a shower and restroom in the vicinity. My favorite thing about the hotel is that they provide shampoo AND conditioner. We’ve stayed at over 10 different hotels and it’s usually just shampoo and shower gel. There was an issue with a broken hair dryer and they quickly brought a replacement to our room within 5 mins. The receptionist also speaks English. When we first arrived, someone immediately helped us with our luggage and we were given cold water to refresh! Room was very clean. Location is great and we could walk to the famous train street, the night market, and the nearby lake.

I wished the pool used chemicals that were more gentle on the skin. My dad’s eyes turned red and I started developing an itch all over my skin and started sneezing uncontrollably. After a rinse in the shower nearby, the reaction calmed down. Another thing is that they’re strict with bedsheet cleanliness. There will be little signs on your beds telling you that you can’t eat on the bed and if there are stains, they will charge you. That came off rather uncomfortable and a little hostile. First time I’ve seen this.

Friendly staff, pretty decent breakfast,great views from the top and close to everything. Also water pressure and heat was great👍.

Rooms are no longer kept like advertised and you can tell the buildmanship of not only the rooms but the hotel as a whole just isn't there. Don't get me wrong we enjoyed our stay!, but definitely isn't any finishing touches or much professional upkeep of a few key areas of the hotel. All in all we had a lovely stay with friendly staff and if we had to stay again we would👍

We had three separate stays at the hotel and used it as a base (and a place to leave our luggage) during trips to Ninh Binh and Halong Bay. It was never a problem to leave luggage. The hotel staff always gave a friendly welcome. We booked the windowless rooms each time and the rooms were clean and spacious and didn’t feel small and suffocating at all. The beds were very comfortable with four pillows. The buffet breakfast has great variety and is located on the 12th floor with a good view of the city. We managed a swim in the pool. Doan was a happy doorman and even left the hotel to help us get our luggage around the corner to the airport bus stop when leaving.

It would be great if the pool was heated.

This is a great place to stay. Awesome location right in the middle of it. I had a beautiful big suite with the cutest balcony onto the street. Not noisy at all considering the location. Alice at front desk is amazing! So friendly and helpful, she helped me with day tours and organising taxis and anything I needed.

I asked for a second key to keep the air on on during the day but you aren’t allowed one. I also asked for some extra coffee sachets for my room but was told I had to wait until housekeeping came each day.

We stayed here for two nights either side of our Halong Bay cruise, different rooms for each stay. In both rooms the bed was nice and big, the shower was really good, nice clean rooms, no issues with sound from other rooms or outside (which was very surprising for room 1 as we were right above reception and there was a karaoke at one of the neighbours - couldn't hear a thing). The first room was bigger which was great for our luggage; we were able to have the suitcases open on the floor for easy access. The pool area was nice, the pool was cold but refreshing. The gym area looked good, probably the best equipped we saw all holiday. The restaurant is right at the top of the building, you have to climb the last 2 flights of stairs. The view is great once you're up there. It is quite small, seating maybe 40ppl which was surprising as the hotel seemed quite large. That said, we never had an issue getting a table. The omlette and scrambled eggs were lovely, we also enjoyed the fruit selection. The location was great for the old town, less than a 5 min walk to the heart of it. They allowed us to leave our large bags somewhere secure whilst we went on the cruise.

The morning we were leaving for Halong Bay our transfer arrived half hour earlier than expected whilst we were still packing. We received a call from reception to say he was here, we said we would be down in 5-10 minutes. We then received another 2 phone calls and a knock on our door to hurry us along within those 10mins. It was quite stressful and completely unnecessary.

Really tasty and diverse breakfast, great pool with a view, terrace in the evening. Great location on the edge of the old quarter. Rooms ok, spacious enough.

All good, nothing to complain. A tiny accident with a pool during our stay, quite nervous but we all ended up ok. The staff don't speak English too good, but they try their best. Just to let you know, the gym by the pool is small but equipped well enough. It looks nice but is actually outdoors. It was simply too hot to work out in that weather.
