-Location is right in the city center. -Living room is very cozy and is a good place for conversation with other visitors or just listening to their language. -It is very quiet at night and the windows can be completely covered, so that light doesn't wake you up in the morning. -There are locker rooms in the bedroom. -Hairdryer, lots of towels and carpets in the shower room. -Carpet in the living room. -Wooden lining in the living room, squeaking of the floor in the living room. -Nice wallpapers on the walls and ceiling. -Photos in the living room were cool. -Price was excellent. -It's easier and more efficient to make a complaint about anything, as the hostel is not a part of big corporation (like a&o) so the staff can solve the problems faster and more directly. -Everybody working there is very kind. -Radiator works extremely well: on full power you can burn yourself. -My room had a balcony: good to take a look on the streets and to let fresh air real quick in the morning (mine was a 9-bed bedroom) without cooling the room too much.
It didn't bother me, but could some people: -Beds are creaking a little when you move on them. -Electric lock can sound loud in the middle of the night. (You can solve that by leaving it unlocked). -Beds in my 9-bed bedrooms were 3x3 bunk beds that make very little space between them (low ceiling). It didn't bother me too much, but I imagine it could some older persons. In that case young should climb on the higher ones. -Because one can't seat on the bed, I would recommend one or two more folding chairs in the room (there was one though).

Sishaus Hostel was a wonderful experience for us! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the very friendly staff and the lovely interior that truly made us feel at home. The atmosphere was unique warm and inviting, creating a sense of comfort that is often hard to find in hostels. It was as if we were visiting a friend's home rather than staying in a typical hostel. We highly recommend Sishaus for anyone looking for a cozy and friendly place to stay in Graz.
There was one aspect that concerned me. The official check-in time listed on booking.com was between 3 PM and 6 PM, which conflicted with our train's arrival at 7:30 PM. This made me hesitant to book, as I almost chose another place instead. Fortunately, I was able to find out that late check-in was possible, but I wish this information had been made clearer on the booking site to avoid any confusion.

The hostel is located only a 'stones throw' away from the central bus station (Jakomini Platz) and Haupt Platz. It's very neatly kept clean and hygienic place (smoking is prohibited everywhere). It's an ideal place for solo travellers, couples and families who would like to experience a homely experience. It's definitely not a place for those who would like to have noisy drunken parties. Those who like to taste 'vegan' food, can order them in house. Heating was functioning very well and the place is secured as the codes are required to open the door from the street and when reached the second floor. Historical places, museums, other places of interest and shopping areas are at walking distance. The hostel manager 'Mr Toisi' is a very good host and very approachable and helpful.
It would be highly useful, if the hostel has a common kitchen for the guests where they can prepare their own food and store them (in cupboards and fridges).

I liked the rustic-DIY-ikea design of this Hostel and found the common area to be very cosy. There are lots of free towls and the bathrooms are extremely clean. You get fresh bedsheets every day and it was relatively quiet and cool during the week. During my stay I made use of the free hot water cattle and microwave in the common area.
I noticed that many people (me included) where a bit lost upon arrival as there wasn’t any staff around (during „open“ hours). The unisex showers may be a bit off putting for some people and one wall in the bathroom had mold (see pictures). I would have liked an option to rent a spint lock.

A nice hostel - funky decor, clean, amazing location. Didn't get to try breakfast but seemed like a nice option to have. There were extra towels in the bathrooms and a nice common space with water jugs, microwave, drinks.. Fairly nice place to spend a few nights in the centre of Graz. The access is ok just follow instructions provided, we were greeted and checked in by a staff member.
The beds are quite basic and the bottom bunk was crazy squeaky. The ladders of the beds hurt my feet as there is quite a climb to the top bunk and it is all metal square rails. The shag carpet in the hallway should probably be replaced as it was the only really dirty thing I noticed there.

The room has a very unique feel and design. The bathrooms were clean and female-friendly. Sleeping on the top bed felt fun, like I was in a tikki lodge.
There were a lot of codes to get in everywhere, including to escape the elevator, which was a little scary--elevator doors started closing on me as I was typing in the code and didn't reopen when I pushed against them (luckily thought to hit the button behind me). A bit stressful if you're at all claustrophobic. Didn't see a single person who worked here my entire stay, just the girls in my room. Hope they got the tourist tax I left.

The hostel had perfect location and for the price it was great. We had our room ready, check in was no problem, in opposite as some other people said. You just need to read the message from the hostel. There was no noise from other guests even though the hostel was almost full. The only staff we met was this girl from Peru who prepared breakfast and she was super nice. But we had no time to check the breakfast.
The toilet and shower in our room was a bit improvised but nothing terrible. I could go to the shared bathroom in the morning so I would not wake up my friends so no problem with that. This is not a flaw or anything but we have hoped to meet other people in the common room to chat and exchange stories and there were no people in the common room for the whole stay. The common room is very nice but maybe because it's a bit small people tend to stay in the rooms. We had a bit noise from the street but that was solved by closing the window and should be expected in a location like this.

Excellent location - in walking distance from main attractions and easy to get around from there. Room and other facilities were as expected, very easy to access whenever needed. I arrived very late in the evening but codes for the doors were sent to my e-mail and I had no trouble whatsoever to get to right place.
If possible, there could be closets with locks where to leave your valuables while going sightseeing. I get that people most likely do not have bad intentions, but it would make one feel safer to know that his/her laptop, home keys and other belongings are safely stored.

This is the best hostel I’ve been so far! It’s all handmade and very creatively designed! Rooms and bathrooms are so clean, beds are large and comfortable, equipped with everything you need! This hostel is really worth all the money, and I will stay here again when I come next time. Special thanks for the host (the owner), she is the most adorable host ever :)

The owner was really lovely and helpful when I had questions about how to use the doors. I loved the setup and found it to be conducive to good conversation, though I could take a quiet moment if I wanted. The location was fantastic, though Graz has excellent public transport, it was nice to be right in the city centre.
The ventilation of the building especially around the bathroom wasn't great. I was acutely aware of a smell of damp in the bathroom, though I understand it's difficult to manage something like that if a building is full of people who don't want the windows open all the time.
