The staff, location, view were all perfect, we couldn’t ask any more from those.

Our room lacked any kind of clothes storage, we resulted to putting our clothes into the kitchenette cupboards. There was also no regular maid service so we ran out of a couple of things, toilet paper, shampoo etc.

We had a truly fabulous and unforgettable time. The customer service was spectacular throughout our numerous inquiries. They went above and beyond in many ways, not the least by also hosting a couple of friends who were stranded due to a complete failure of their (different) hosts. So many highlights... From Aleksi's numerous house calls, the lovely dream ace team of Ourso (sp?) and his colleague (sorry I didn't catch your name 🫣) for emergency spa maintenance and technical solutions, the delicious and copious breakfast crew, the cleaning crew, their excellent recommendations, the superb accomodations, the exceptional setting....

Truly we have no complaints. Life throws curve balls as always and their team stepped up admirably.

Juuso, the guy who assisted us throughout our stay was spectacularly helpful and attentive at all times with us, he is a cheerful, attentive and exceptional human being!

Breakfast needs variety.

Where to start…. This place is amazing. It’s like being on another planet. We LOVED the location, right in the edge of the small town. Snow everywhere. Lovely hot tub. Really warm and cosy rooms with amazing views. We stayed in room 9 and it was almost perfect. The staff are brilliant and will drive you wherever you want to go. We saw amazing auroras, went snowmobiling and had a day snowboarding. It was all great fun and unforgettable. Tours are quite pricey but I think that’s Finland and not this hotel. If you want a long weekend get away somewhere completely different then you can’t go wrong with this place.

Small things… nowhere really to put your clothes in the room. Sometimes you are not sure who to text to take you places or pick you up. These are not major issues though at all. The place is amazing.

The resort is located hillside, overlooking a very snowy and picturesque wooded area. All of the cabins have great visibility to the scenery. The managing staff Juuso and Nicky, gave world-class service every single day. They were a joy and highlight as much as anything we did during our stay. They were able to take care of all of our needs and help us to meet our Covid requirements to return to the States. The Auroras we saw were very vibrant and Juuso and Nicky made sure we didn’t miss them. We even received professional pictures with the Auroras as a special treat! (Thanks Victor) There is little doubt that we will be back to stay in the future.

There were no cons to our visit.

Very nice modern cabin, amazing staff that happily drove us around to the restaurant and for some aurora hunting. They also came to knock on our door to let us know there were auroras going on. The bedroom was very nice. We couldn't see the auroras from there, but it was very relaxing looking at the stars from our bed.

Some things didnt work (the shower head, water kettle) and it was VERY warm (probably the window heater that cant be turned off). Would probably also have been nice to have a restaurant for breakfast.

Everything. The location was perfect, sitting on a hill looking down on on the town of Saariselka. Beautiful views from our sky suite with extremely attentive staff who dropped us off at different restaurants every night and then picked us up at the end of the night at no extra charge. All the staff (Juuso and Ansko) went out of their way to make your trip memorable and I really felt that it was important to them that we squeezed everything out of our short visit. We only stayed for 3 nights, so seeing the Aurora was by no means guaranteed and the one night we did see them, worth the price of the trip alone, was thanks to Juuso and Ansko who woke us up as there was unexpected activity after we had given up and gone to bed!! The trips we had booked through The Aurora Collection Resort were great and worth every penny which were all delivered by the Northern Lights Village whose staff were so friendly and keen to give you a great experience. For us the best by far was the 10km Husky safari which will live long in the memory and the sauna and ice swim. This has been by far the most memorable trip and that is thanks to The Aurora Collection Resort and its wonderful staff.

Nothing.

The staff provided exceptional service throughout my stay, embodying professionalism and attentiveness. The car service exceeded my expectations, delivering convenience and efficiency. While breakfast offered a satisfactory experience overall, perhaps introducing a varied selection each day could enhance the dining experience for guests who appreciate diversity. However, personally, this minor detail did not detract from my enjoyment, though it could cater to those who value variety.

Nothing springs to mind, everyone was super helpful.

The highlight of our time in Finland! Katri had booked us a table for Christmas Eve dinner which was lovely and took us there. The room was bigger than we thought and were able to leave our luggage in the hallway by the door. We had breakfast delivered both mornings and it was great. The bed was big and comfortable, the sauna was nice. Juuso was very helpful picking us up and taking us into town. The jacuzzi was amazing!! We were able to leave our bags at reception when we checked out and Juuso brought them into the village for us a few hours later and then took us to the airport for an extra fee. We didn’t see northern lights but a winter snow Christmas was unforgettable! There was also Netflix, Disney plus on the TV.

Can’t fault it!

The staff of Aurora Collection was outstandingly friendly and helpful! If you want to go to a restaurant, to do an excursion or just visit the supermarket real quick, just ask and you will be driven down the hill immediately. Katri will even book the table at the restaurant for you! That made our stay really special. Obviously the facilities are incredible - everything is brand new. The jacuzzi on our private terrace was really nice to use during -20°C freezing conditions. We had an amazing stay and an amazing new year's eve in Saariselkä. Thank you very much!
