We booked a Superior Twin with 2 double beds. We got 3 single beds. Offered us the option to cancel but needed somewhere to stay so not an option.

The hotel is at a great location. It is not far from the freeway and saved time for me travelling to the office on Mt Wellington Freeway. It's less than 1km from the restaurants and bars and the water front. Also a great morning jog route. I had a nice view to the water from my room. Bed is comfy. Staff are generally friendly. Breakfast was good.

I noted the pillow cases might not have changed as they didn't look fresh and crisp. Sound proofing is OK. I suppose at the end of the day other guests should respect their other guests staying and be quiet after certain time.

There was a significant staff shortage on the day I arrived, and yet the staff who were on duty, took matters in their stride, were friendly, professional, realistic and adaptable. Access into the entrance of Copthorne is not the easiest to drive into, and is somewhat off-putting. However, if you can get past that challenge, Copthorne Auckland City is certainly value for money, whilst enjoying being treated first-class.

The carpark! If Copthorne Auckland City provided a "courtesy shuttle" from the airport, I would most certainly have taken up the offer. I was fortunate to have someone pick me up from the airport and drop me off to Copthorne, and after navigating the tight driveway, I was pleasantly surprised with Copthorne Auckland City. Having travelled with friends to board a Cruise at Auckland Harbour, we ordered a taxi Van Shuttle, that found the driveway a challenge. Nevertheless, I have no hesitations in staying here again :)

The staff were very accommodating. We had arrived much earlier than check-in time and had hoped to leave our luggage with the front desk until we could check in, but when we arrived, the front desk informed us we could check in early since our room was already ready. The location was also very convenient! Close to lots of tourist attractions and things to do.

Some of the furniture was a little beat up, but nothing that affected the function of the room. It just might be less visually appealing to some.

The beds were soft and comfy and the balcony door opens so you can get fresh air which is often rare in hotels these days. Lots of room to put bags and great location near Auckland uni.

The room had a musty / chemical smell to it like it was damp or cleaned with bleach and needed airing out before we went to sleep. There were no electrical sockets next to the beds and no lamps only overhead lighting (which could be controlled from a switch near the beds)

Your staff make this a lovely place to stay, they were all so professional and friendly. Treated myself to the yummy buffet breakfast during my stay, it is cheaper than going out to a cafe and has everything I like. The chef provided me with cream for my coffee too, so very kind. Perfect location for me to walk to galleries, museum, surrounding parks. Lovely room, comfy bed and pillows, good WiFi and facilities.

I liked the comfortable bed and the room to love around in, I thought it wud be a tighter fit with two beds but was pretty spacious

The only thing really was the inaccessibility for the power points, one either right behind the bed which pushing the bed against could damage a charger, and another on the other side of the room. One above ur head or beside the bed would be optimal but regardless everything else was great. Maybe some hot chocolate packets would be great.

Comfortable quiet and a decent view from my balcony. Amenities were clean and not outdated, complementary supplies had a pleasant and not overpowering scent. There was a decent amount of milk to accompany the higher end coffee and tea, and a good selection of tea varieties. The sheets were crisp and ambient temperature of the room was pleasant and relaxing This was a very pleasant unpretentious stay with an undisturbed sleep

The heater had not been used for some time and smelt funny for a bit upon first start

helpful and accommodating staff and receptionists, nice breakfast, and comfortable beds - the room wasn't very spacious, but it had all the amenities we needed readily available.

If you're staying on a busy night, parking might be an issue. When I called, I was told there is limited parking at the hotel but that they had additional parking further up the road. Once at the hotel, however, I was informed that it was actually just a Wilson parking lot, and they couldn't guarantee parking but would reimburse the cost. It would have been good info to have (particularly since it was a concern, and I called to check). Thankfully, when we stayed, the staff was lovely and accommodating, so it never became a problem for us.

Cosy and convenient being in walking distance to Spark Arena and Britomart.

The toilet seat had dried on urine which was gross and black mold forming in the shower. The furniture was all damaged and the ceiling looked disgusting. They are extremely short staffed so we completely understand, I have a feeling it was used for managed isolation.
