We enjoyed the coffee and breakfast very much. The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is across the street from the beach but very centrally located.

We reserved a King size ocean view room over 6 months ago. I kept the email from the hotel administration confirming that they would give us an ocean view room. When we arrived, they said they didn't have one available. This was the first impression of our stay at Mr. Tucan. The room available was an interior room and only had a queen size bed which was small for us. We made the most of it but as a first time guest, it did leave a bad taste in our mouth.

superb AC, great water pressure for shower, spacious room and bathroom, comfy beds, wifi works great (as LTE doesn't lol?) but it keeps disconnecting and you keep having to log back in, very central and great area, located just across the street from the beach where the hotel has free sun loungers

the free breakfast is worth skipping out on and getting from one of the fantastic nearby restos instead for like $10USD a person (yahongreh?, sandy buns or cafe el palo), the way the hotel is made all of the rooms share like an open common space between them and so at least 1 morning we were woken up by other people yelling to each other at 7am...

The staff were excellent—very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean and had all you need for a comfortable stay. The hotel is right off the beach and it’s easy to get a spot, especially when the staff will help you set up chairs and an umbrella that are free to rent. Free breakfast at the Crazy Bean restaurant next door is awesome. Many delicious options to choose from for breakfast and they also offer excellent rum cake and other treats. Service was always prompt and friendly. I would 10/10 stay here again and recommend to others for the value, quality, service, and location.

Wi-fi service could use some updates in terms of access.

Excellent location in front of the beach and close to all places. You can ask for a beach chair and beach towels. The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast was good, with different options. Definitely would stay here again.

The hotel didn't have a sign with the name outside, but it was easy to recognize. They didn't ask me if I wanted to pay with a different credit card when I was doing the check-in. I know you can assume that people are going to use the same card placed in Booking but it would be nice to ask because in my case I had decided that I wanted to pay with another credit card.

It starts with friendly staff, immaculately, clean rooms, a lovely outdoor covered sitting area… Which becomes increasingly wonderful when it rains all day and all night! Included breakfast was also constantly high-quality and lovely staff.

The only fault is that you can’t get to your room without running through the rain… Otherwise perfect!

Breakfast was good but staff was totally overwhelmed with filling orders for outside customers along with the hotel guests orders. Its a very popular breakfast destination. Unfortunately a few items from some of my orders never made it to the table. One day I never even got service and had to go somewhere else in order to make it to my boat in time for my dive. Aside from these minor inconveniences the staff is very helpful and I enjoyed my food and coffee.

The apartment was nice and had plenty of room. Our A/C went out although it was serviced that day. The TV in the living room didnt work. There was only a safe in one bedroom. Had a coffee maker in the kitchen but would've been nice if they provided some coffee for it.

The excellent location across from a truly awe-inspiring beach, ocean and giant palm trees. Lovely, caring staff like Dayna who helped me install a Simcard into my phone. Like Farid in the hotel restaurant who was so personable. Like Jones who carried out my beach umbrella. The housekeeper was very reliable. Wendy has a great team! The beauty of the tropical wood carvings and angel wings are very delightful. The complimentary, home-cooked breakfast added to the value and enjoyment.

Nice modern room with comfortable bed & good size bathroom. The hotel is modern with a terrace to relax and enjoy the sea view. The hotel is located in the heart of west end, across from the beach and bay which offers good snorkeling. Good bkfst offered. Coffee shop downstairs. Supportive & friendly staff. Free water refill.

WiFi sometimes was weak or you had to re Connect to network.

I have stayed here and other hotels in West End before, this one is my favourite in this price category. Perfect location to all the bars, restaurants and the beach yet surprisingly quiet. The staff are very nice and helpful. Comfy beds, fridge in the room. They provide free beach chairs on request.

The breakfast menu could be a bit more varies for longer stays but it is not a deal breaker and I will definitely stay there again.

Amazing location, amenities and staff! Right on Half-Moon bay and 20 feet from the beach, Mr. Tucan is a gem. My parents and I went to Roatan to celebrate American Thanksgiving and it exceeded our expectations. Ms. Rose and the rest of the staff at the hotel and attached restaurant were wonderful and meet all of our requests. The hotel itself is beautiful, secure, and safe. It's quiet but an extremely short stroll to shops, food, and the nightlife. Avoid the cruise ship crowds and relax in paradise!

Sadly, the gift shop was being remodeled so the beautiful masks they had on display weren't readily available...but it gives me another reason to return!
