Beautiful hotel with very kind and helpful staff. The hotel is located only 5 minutes from the airport which is perfect for an early flight. They also offer a free airport shuttle 24/7. It's a great hotel to end your icelandic holiday with.

The restaurant kitchen closes at 9pm. So unfortunately I wasn't able to eat there when we arrived at 9:30. Luckily there is a small snack menu, but it would be great if the kitchen could stay open a little longer.

My wife and I stay here every year for the last five years; we love it. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite comfortable and the location is fantastic. The heated rooftop pool is also great, such a cool amenity.

The price at the property goes up significantly seemingly every year. We used to view this property as a good deal/value, but if the price continues to go up as much as it does, we may elect to stay somewhere else.

The hotel is on the edge of a small marina and easy to find by car. The free parking is useful. They are perfectly located for Keflavik airport and the free shuttle to the airport was convenient and promptly arranged by the friendly, helpful staff. The hotel reception area has some nice relaxed seating areas with rugs and comfy chairs. We also loved the large globe! There is a restaurant but also plenty of other options in the town, just a short walk away. Breakfast was plentiful and the selection was good.

The bathroom fans in our 2 rooms didn’t seem to work (we notified reception when we left). Also we had a bit of fun trying to get the bedside lamps to work (and work independently of the main room light). It seems the circuitry (at least in the rooms we had) means that if the lamps are plugged into the wrong socket (there are 2 on each side) the lamps can’t be used independently of the main room lamp. But if you plug them in correctly it all work just fine! In addition, one of our rooms had the view of the wall outside reception and was quite a bit darker than the other that looked towards the marina, but for our 1 night stay it was no problem.

Very welcoming staff, made sure any accommodations we may need while staying were sorted, airport transfer (free) at any time which was handy as we had a 6:30am flight, very clean and good facilities.

Bus from Keflavik into Reykjavík is hourly plus has a few hours in the day it doesn’t run so if you aren’t driving you need to plan journeys accordingly and leave a fair bit earlier than you would normally have to, however we knew the hotel was a way out from more central and tourist areas when booking so this was not a shock nor a bad thing as it was nice to be out of the centre of a night particularly if you want to see northern lights etc just something to be aware of if you are using public transport

I LOVED EVERYTHING! SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AND COMFORTABLE PLACE TO STAY! I ENJOYED THE PEOPLE SO MUCH! THE GALS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, ESPECIALLY WHEN I NEEDED A FAN! BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS! THE PROXIMITY TO THE AIRPORT WAS CLOSE, AND OUR DRIVER WAS SO SWEET! I WILL DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN!

I DID NOT DISLIKE ANYTHING. MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT THE HEAT IN THE ROOM SEEMED TO BE SUCK ON THE HIGHEST SETTING, AS IT NEVER COOLED OFF. THE FRONT DESK GALS GAVE ME A SMALL FAN TO USE, AND I SLEPT WITH THE WINDOW OPEN. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO BE ABLE TO GET ICE, BUT THERE WAS NONE AVAILABLE.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed spending time talking with them. A beautifully appointed and clean hotel in a great location just minutes from the airport. A great big hot tub on the roof deck was a nice way to relax on a cold winter night. Very good food at the restaurant. This hotel also has a free shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. Very useful.

The in-room TVs only had three channels so it was really limiting in terms of what you could watch. Since it is in a relatively remote location it would be good to have a few more restaurant and snack food choices for variety, and perhaps have snacks available for purchase. Sometimes you are just hungry for a light meal or snack at various times during the day or evening and do not want to have a full sit-down dinner.

Very lovely rooms with a nice design. Most comfortable beds! And bathrobes are provided as well (I did not use the pool but it was nice to have anyways). Enough space to work at a desk. The bathroom is also very lovely designed. Friendly hotel staff. Location is only 5minutes drive away from the airport, I booked the hotel because I had a very early flight and had to depart in the middle of the night. Would stay again for a next early flight but skip the restaurant.

Bring earplugs if you are a sensitive sleeper, the soundprooveness of the rooms is rather poor. Not room related but since it is the in-house restaurant, the food was far from good. High price for not tasty food. I let the waiter know about it but got no apology or solution offered nor asked if they can offer something else instead. Let more than half of the food on the plate and went to buy some snacks instead. Would not eat there again nor recommend.

A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Berg – Exceptional Service! We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Berg for just one night, and we left feeling completely satisfied and well cared for. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The highlight of our stay was the impeccable service provided by Guy, the receptionist. He was not just friendly, but truly went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. Guy patiently took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the hotel and the surrounding area, always with a smile on his face. His warmth and kindness made us feel right at home, and his professional yet personal approach was refreshing. Every hotel would be lucky to have someone like Guy on their team – he is truly a gem. The hotel itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the location was convenient for an early flight. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend Hotel Berg to anyone looking for a welcoming and pleasant stay. Unique, modern layout and design with friendly staff and very early morning shuttle service (5:45am - thank you Irma!). Lucking out with small heated pool overlooking ocean on top floor and all to myself at end of a long day was amazing.

Nothing really. Fan in bathroom loud and couldn’t be turned off if light was on, but not a big deal. Also, cost to get 5min from airport to hotel vs 45min from Reykjavík on Flybus was surprisingly more costly (~$42 vs $40 for bus). Is there not a more reasonable option to not have to pay as much for such a short drive? Just curious and may improve option for other guests.

This hotel was great for the last night before our flight. The room was very clean, beds comfortable and bathroom was lovely. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time there to enjoy the pool and other facilities but highly recommend this hotel for a before or after flight stay.

In the February 2024, booking.com page of this hotel was hacked and was sending scams - unfortunately we became a victim of this scam as the message seemed very legit. We tried to contact this hotel via booking or calling them but nobody was replying or answering the call. At least, they have replied to an email and apologised (but no apology came before we contacted them, which was a bit disappointing for a 4 stars hotel).
