The accommodation was basic but excellent. Rooms were big, great view from balcony, pool is lovely. Breakfast, especially the smoothie bowl was great. It is set back from the main road in a little oasis, but right in centre of Ubud. But best of all were the staff. Very friendly, attentive, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Helped us arrange trips, driver and generally made us feel very welcome. We loved it.

Nothing, maybe the early morning cockerel next door could have slept longer but we loved the hotel.

Excellent prime location, professional lovely friendly staff and close by to nice restaurants, bars, beauty and massage places, shops, Ubud Market and the palace. The hotel yard is lovely, comfortable bed, good AC, nice staff, nice little pool and fridge in the room and you get free water daily. Though I'd appreciate more free refills and not always getting a new plastic bottle. I would stay again and can recommend the place. You can see a monkey or two jumping on roofs, the monkey forest is really close by. Many restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. It's safe area to walk around.

Some things are a bit worn down (like towels) but it's quite typical all over the country so wouldn't count it as a minus. This also is not really a minus but good to know: You find the hotel at the end of an alley from the main street (nicely paved so easy to roll down your luggage - car won't fit there). Also no elevator. Wifi worked a bit slow at times. And you can hear your neighbors quite well through the walls.

The location was fantastic. Close to restaurants and shops. The bungalows were clean and comfortable. Good air conditioning. The pool area was beautiful and the staff helpful and polite.

I was a solo traveller , and the staff were friendly and helpful . The rooms were traditional and clean , I loved the monkeys on the balcony in the mornings The pool was refreshing, The pancakes and fruit for breakfast were yummy . I like the location was central and just off the main street so it was quiet. I really enjoyed my stay ☺️

If there is any criticism , maybe the bathroom was a bit old.

Great location, great staff, and service. Monkey Forest is just a few minutes away. It's clean! Cleaning every day. The pool is nice. WiFi all over the hotel. Breakfast is really nice. It's located at the main street(adress), but in the back - you can't hear the noise from the street, and you won't even know you are so close to everything, because it's so calm. The staff really did a GREAT job celebrating my birthday! So amazing!!

The monkeys visit the place in the morning. The staff does a lot of work trying to get the monkeys to go away.

The place was lovely. My balcony was a gift to wake up to in the mornings, incredible views. The swimming area was also very enjoyable. All members of the staff were attentive and helpful.

Review for Jati Bungalow The best thing about Jati Bungalow is its location—just 50 meters from the market. It’s incredibly convenient to step out and explore anytime you like. However, it’s not a professional-style hotel, so adjust your expectations accordingly. The rooms don’t have a phone, so you can’t easily call for assistance. Breakfast isn’t a buffet; you’ll need to order it. It’s a small, simple hotel with a nice vibe, and the guy at the reception is friendly and helpful. If you’re booking this place, remember that the main pro is its proximity to the market. Beyond that, it’s a basic stay that works if you’re looking for a no-frills experience.

Location. Access easy yet our room backed onto rain forest, bats flying at night, squirrel hunting and running down a tree and monkeys passing by.
