Simple but nice rooms (clean, spacious, quiet) in a great location : the hotel is located in Ubud main street (jl. monkey forest), so you can enjoy all of Ubud very easily... and the hotel has many rooms in the back (in front of a big ricefields, with a 2nd pool that is much better than the one in the front part of the hotel) : prefer these rooms as they are far from the street, which can be noisy in the evening (many live bands playing in the cafes/restaurants). Being in the town center is great as there are big trafic jam late afternoon when everyone comes back for daily trips, so you can simply walk out of the hotel instead of being stuck in trafic to get food... The breakfast is good with a buffet that offers the main dishes (toasts, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausages, nasi goreng...). The restaurant also provides good dishes at a good price, so don't hesitate to eat there if you have no other plans. Otherwise, for lunch/diner, go and enjoy the exceptionnal Wayan Cafe, 50m north of the hotel : great food in an exceptionnal location (enjoy the delicious desserts like Dadar Gulung or Chocolate Mousse !).

The potatoes at breakfast could benefit from being cooked a bit more : the hotel gives these potatoes fancy names "potatoes à la lyonnaise..." but in the end it's the same potatoes cut in a different shape and cooked the same way (boiled, not pan fried). Also it seems the hotel computer system is not working well since many times there were errors when they thought the breakfast was not included when it was (correct in the reception computer but incorrect on the printout used by staff to control breakfast guests...), even for the same guests/booking in 2 different days... Go figure... Anyway, nothing that could not be handled quickly by the staff double-checking with reception :)

I got a great deal for a King room, ground floor of the 8 room "hotel" building. The room was very spacious, with an entry area to dump your wet stuff (ha ha) good air con, and a freshly renovated bathroom with a fully loaded hot shower. Overlooked from the big balcony, Rice paddies (now owned by the resort) were tended daily in various stages of rice growing and will hopefully remain there forever! Plenty of light and views through floor-to-ceiling windows. An interesting, elongated property, combining classical Balinese bungalows, varying styles of villas surrounding rice fields, and 2 hotel buildings - one overlooking rice fields and the other further down at the back, next to jungle stream. Breakfast included a small but good buffet plus eggs of choice. The staff were so amicable and contributed to my very enjoyable stay. Special thanks to Agung and Putu, whose genuine conversation made me feel like a family friend.

Wifi was almost non-existent from my room. I walked to the pool for it no prob, but annoying at night. The bed was ok, but pretty hard with a couple of lumpy springs poking me. Fridge is awkward to get at - just a small issue - it needs to face the front door! The pool bar open hours were too early: 3-6 would be more profitable!

The property is huge. It's composed in 2 parts ( old and new building) the old part is closer to the reception and the new one wherethe the rice field are. We stayed in the old one, the room was huge , very unique style, AC worked perfect fine, had a weak Wi-Fi signal but after mentioning to the receptionist they put an individual router in my room and problem solved. If you need hairdryer or ironing, the hotel doesn't provide that but they were very kind to help me on this occasion, but make sure to bring your own hairdryer. Location is perfect very closed to shops , restaurants, monkey forest etc. My friend had a birthday and they assisted me in surprising him with decorations and a cake.

Very large and spacious rooms. Lovely view from the room and balcony of rice fields. It was very calm and soothing to the eyes. You can spend the whole morning sitting there. All basic amenities provided along with the room. The hotel was very centrally located and lots of options for food and shopping just outside the hotel.

Food was average. But there are lots of options outside. The family room's (no. 30) ceiling leaked at night during heavy rainfall. The railing in the family room had Hugh gaps which made it very unsafe for our toddler.

We booked two rooms - one was a superior room which was upstairs, it was very spacious and had a lovely outlook over a large rice padi. Our two children were in a smaller downstairs room, a bit away from us, but they had a nice outlook over a lovely second pool area which we wouldn't have even known was there if not for them being in that section of the hotel, it also over looked a green gully and monkeys passed by most mornings. The hotel is very centrally located, loads of places to eat etc and walking distance to Monkey Forest and Palace etc, but once you are in the grounds you do not feel like you are in the middle of a very touristy area. Considering the hotel has quite lot of rooms, they are well spaced out, upstairs are private and the garden is nice to walk through. Although some rooms are a bit of a walk from the street, it didn't worry us as, as it was a pleasant walk through garden. The staff organised everything we needed without hassle and the breakfast each day was good value.

Breakfast could be very busy, it was best to get there early or you might not find a table.

I love everything about Sri Aksata! I've been staying here for years. The staff are friendly, helpful & like family to me. The pools are always sparkling clean & the perfect refreshing temperature. (I've stayed places where the pool is too warm & cloudy & that's gross). Location couldn't be better, right in the middle of Monkey Forest Rd, next to all the best restaurants/bars! The rooms are set way back from the road, surrounding a beautiful ricefield, so you get a view & quiet peacefulness. Rooms are super clean, with a fridge for drinks & snacks, beds comfy with new clean linens. You won't regret staying here.

Nothing

I stayed for 2 nights in a downstairs room with a lovely view of the rice fields. The hotel is well-located, within easy walking distance of the palace, Monkey Forest, and numerous shops and restaurants. Despite its central location, it feels like a peaceful oasis away from the crowds, thanks to its picturesque surroundings. The hotel, while showing some signs of age, offers spacious rooms and comfortable beds, each with a nice balcony. The resort is a hidden gem—though it may seem modest from the small parking lot and reception area, it quickly reveals itself to be a spacious and serene retreat. Even though it's situated on Monkey Forest Road, the room remains quiet and free from traffic noise. The location is excellent, as it places you right on one of Ubud's main roads, making it easy to explore the area.

It was a 3-minutes walk from the reception to our room, but very quiet

Fantastic location and yet our hut was tucked at the back, away from busy road , facing paddy field . Interesting scenery with ducks waddling in the field. Onsite spa with good and reasonably priced massage package. The massage room faces greenery and a river with therapeutic sounds of flowing river.

Safe and tv were not working. Got the hotel staff to come twice to unlock the safe. Onsite spa did not have hot shower for us after body scrub. But overall wont complain as massage and scrub were awesome

Beautiful setting among the rice paddies. Room was large and the bed was comfortable. Traditional decor was charming. Very peaceful as it’s set back from the busy road through Ubud, but perfectly located. Frogs and other critters were very active at night but this added to the experience in my opinion- you really felt like you were in a natural environment. The monkeys also paid the hotel a visit during our stay! We were able to walk to the monkey forest and the palace easily. Loads of bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep. Staff were helpful and polite and breakfast was simple but plentiful. We did go out for coffee though! Photos don’t do the place justice. There are 3 pools- all with beautiful surroundings. We also had massages at the spa which were really good and excellent value.

Nothing.

Great location, off the high street but set far back enough that's its a little peaceful oasis with it's own rice paddies. Ask for a room near the pool or paddies at the back instead of the rooms and villas towards the front. Got visited by naughty monkeys twice. Was hilarious. Really lovely natural setting. You might see the odd toad at night too. You will certainly hear them.

Little bit shabby around the edges. All spotlessly clean but could do with a refresh. Little thoughtful touches like hooks on the bathroom walls would be nice. And those bloody sliding front doors were the bane of my life. I left without paying for one massage. A totally innocent mistake. Didn't realise as I was travelling all day with no reception. When I finally opened my phone I had dozens of missed calls, messages etc from two staff members. I appreciate the need for everyone to get paid but it felt a bit like harassment
