The hotel is modern, clean, with helpful staff, good parking, and excellent facilities on site - the restaurant is very good - where the staff were very helpful in the evenings. A short drive away from Galway, so I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore the city.

Music in the restaurant was too loud, even at breakfast time which was wildly inappropriate - it would be nice to have some gentle irish instrumental music instead of what was being played. The 'orders' for breakfast (ie porridge, poached eggs) took too long to come out, the scambled eggs in the buffet were warm instead of hot, even the pot of tea went cold very quickly which made breakfast not so enjoyable.

The room and the leisure facilities.

I rarely eat in hotel restaurants. On this occasion, I had arrived late and arranged to meet a colleague for dinner. We both ordered the fish of the day. It arrived much too quickly. My colleague and I were catching up when a member of staff asked was everything OK. At this point we said yes but we had not started to eat the meal. The fish was inedible. It had an odd texture as if it had been cooked earlier in the day and reheated in a microwave. Both plates went back to the kitchen uneaten. When paying we expressed our disappointment with the meal. We were informed that we should said this when we were asked if everything was OK. He charged us full price. I raised it again when checking out but no reduction was made to the bill. On a plus side, the breakfast was very good.

A very nice reception area with an exceptional welcome from Karisma. The room was the usual high standard for this type of hotel although one never gets comfortable chairs. The bar/restaurant was airy with plenty of room and choice of good food and drink. Angel was our first nights waiter who went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. The second evening we were blessed with Nikol as our waitress - it makes it so much nicer when away from home being met with friendly and helpful people. We took advantage of the bus, which stops just across the road, and had a pleasant day in Galway City without the hassle of parking. Would certainly go back some day.

Our only want was for a more comfortable area to sit with a drink either before or after dinner.

We travelled as a family of 4 with 2 kids (6&9). we had a family room which was perfect - spacious and clean. food was excellent and staff were super friendly. we used the pool every day but important to note there are external swimming lessons from 3-6pm most days. also kids can't go in the sauna, steam, jacuzzi.

We found the pool and changing rooms very busy when the swimming lessons were on. the water in the changing rooms was either cold or burning hot. but we still loved our time in the pool!

We only stayed one night but will definitely stay here when back in the area! Conveniently located outside of busy Galway this was a great find! The restaurant on property was good and the attached bar has bands on weekends. The attached pool and workout facility was a plus, just wish it stayed open past nine, but it was nicely equipped. The room size was large (we had a family room) so big plus with two older kids. The beds were comfy with choices of pillows. The staff was very attentive and in both the hotel & restaurant, they went out of their way to offer assistance.

Pool closed too early.

We enjoyed most aspects of this hotel. Free, convenient parking. Fresh & clean modern rooms with good facilities. Bright and spacious lobby. The quiet reading areas were a nice touch. The staff were very professional, efficient and friendly. The room was good value for money for a family of 4.

We felt the quality and presentation of the breakfast did not match the rest of this fine hotel. Also the set up of the buffet wasn't ideal and some items e.g. the yoghurts should be chilled. The fruit juices were low quality as were the children's pancakes. We would probably opt for room only next time as we loved everything else.

The Hotel is beautifully appointed with spacious rooms and a breakout space within the room adding to its dimensions. Mezzanine foyers offer extra space for reading and chatting. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the beds super comfy and luxurious. The location is ideal on the Tuam Road with public transport between Galway and Tuam on the doorstep. Beautiful river and historical sites to explore. Staff are welcoming and attentive. Coffee shops and supermarkets are nearby.

Really nice hotel with a lovely pool with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room ( jacuzzi wouldn't work some of the time as the button was broken and looked like it's been fixed with tape for months if not years..unfortunate) The gym was also nice, and pretty well specd for a hotel gym. Restaurant was nice with good food that was a little overpriced. Menu isn't very kid friendly. Watched an ireland International on the TV but they couldn't get the sound on it. Rooms are lovely and there's no problem with water if you need some. Easter eggs under pillows was a lovely touch for the kids. Look..a really nice hotel that just needs a few little things fixed to.make it a great hotel.( oh and beautiful pints 200 mtrs away in the Sommerfield house bar) Breakfast was decent also. Staff couldn't be nicer..lovely people.

As mentioned above.. They really really need new benches in the gym..they're about 100 years old, crazy, lumps of foam missing from them.

One major flaw is.. when you book in on arrival they don't take cash or debit card (I was told this through email beforehand) you pay with credit card with photo id which have to match. I don't use my credit card so it was still in my maiden name. They did take my debit in the end as it matched my driver's license, I must state again, this was sorted over the phone before I made my journey. I have never had to produce id to use either my debit or credit card before then. It hasn't put me off but I think management should at least change their policy to accept cash in reception as a lot of people have, like me stopped using their credit card. I would still highly recommend staying there as it's flawless otherwise. I'm looking forward to visiting them again in the Autumn

Great family hotel room, ample parking on site. Very good restaurant and bar and reasonably priced too. Leisure facilities were excellent and if you have kids they have staff on site that will look after them in the dolphin club too. Also if you want to entertain the kids for a few hours look up Turoe open farm. 30 minutes away but keeps the kids busy for the whole day, excellent

Nothing much. Claregalway is a typical quiet Irish village so there's not a huge amount to do after 7 but if you're looking for more Galway city is only 15 minutes away
