A chain hotel & as such it provides the service and accommodation mid range chain hotels do to a sound standard. It's clean if a bit shabby - its very high footfall makes that inevitable. The staff a stand out feature - courteous, well trained & really helpful. Breakfast standard all you can eat buffet & other food good although very limited vegetarian choices. Fine if you're on a business trip and/or are travelling by car & need swift access to main traffic routes.

The hotel located near a very busy main road, at the edge of a business park, fairly soulless and a 30 minute walk into town. Reminded us strongly of airport hotels. Not the hotel if you are looking for character or a flavour of Galway.

My partner has many food intolerances, which normally makes eating out stressful. Your restaurant staff are a credit too you. Our first contact was Victor, he was brilliant. He said we will do anything with the ingredients we have. I've been in hospitality for years and as a trainer, chef and restaurateur, I who love all food was so impressed how the stress was taken away instantly. The young team of staff then carried this on daily, even remembering my partners intolerance after just one visit. And this made her stay so more enjoyable. And mine, I loved all the food and your Guinness was great. If we ever come back to Galway we will be staying at your lovely hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not very close to the center but is in a quiet surrounding, clean and comfortable. There are different types of pillows (very important for me) and a big enough solid table for writing (for business travelers). The breakfast was good and there is enough space for a lot of people in peak hours. And I loved it when on Saturday morning I saw a dozen of lovely ladies knitting and embroidering their things on the cozy sofas and armchairs in the lobby (obviously some club or just friendly gathering) - such a sweet feeling of home:)

I was kind of surprised that there was not even a little fridge in the room, let alone a safe deposit box. These two elements have become usual in every hotel that type in most countries in Europe or in the world.

The rooms are very spacious, clean and modern. There is a really lovely shower too. Beds were made daily and were comfy. Staff were very attentive, helpful and honestly couldn't do enough for us all. Especially David in reception who made sure to have a friendly word with us all. It is lovely to see. I must also mention Nans in the restaurant who was absolutely fantastic. We were 4 women 2 with dexterity issues and at breakfast Nans would bring down our teapot. As silly as it sounds when someone can't carry anything heavy never mind hot. That small gesture goes a long way. The food is just incredible too. The breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and cocktails all got sampled and we actually didn't eat I'm the city too much as it was so nice in the hotel.

Having to go home.

Every now and then, you come across a hotel that has it all—the Nox is one of those places. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the inviting atmosphere, everything was lovely. The bar and restaurant located just off the reception area had a lovely ambiance, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff went above and beyond, especially in how kind they were to my 11-year-old, our room was lovely, spacious, clean, and comfortable. convenient access to an ATM, snack machines on the upper floors, and the option to order additional food to the room if needed. This is exactly the kind of hospitality you miss when traveling abroad. Many hotels outside Ireland can feel cold and impersonal, but the Nox Hotel embodies the warm “Céad Míle Fáilte” that makes staying in Ireland so special.

The upper floor hallways are a little dark

Stayed for one night while travelling The Wild Atlantic Way. Fabulous hotel. Super comfy beds (probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in!) Bathroom was a good size. Great shower. Great breakfast choices available included in our stay. Friendly and helpful staff. It's a little bit out of town if you're wanting to have a drink while you're out so the hotel rang for a taxi for us. Honestly can't fault the hotel at all. We ate out so can't comment on the bar food but the small bar is good and well stocked. Loved that there was plenty of parking on site. Would definitely stay here again

Nothing to dislike.

The hotel is conveniently located close to a highway, ensuring smooth and easy access for guests traveling by car. However, it’s a half-hour walk to downtown, and the surrounding area isn’t ideal for a stroll due to the wide, noisy roads, so an Uber or taxi is recommended for a night out. Parking in downtown is expensive, and lots are often full. The room was nice, spacious, and comfortable. The bar offers good food, with a limited late-night snack menu—by the way, the pizza is very good if you arrive too late for dinner. The hotel also provides parking spots for guests.

Proximity to downtown is a minus. It’s expensive. The presence of escorts might be a pro or con, depending on your preferences.

Beauitiful Hotel, spottless clean. Staff were lovely. Lovely decor. It definitley should be a four star. Didnt have breakfast as im vegan. My daughter had cesar salad in the bar which she really enjoyed and i had proper chips they were gorgeous. The menu has 3 different types of chips, fries, sweet pototo fries, and chunky. Also really good value. We came on train you can walk 30 mins or there is local bus going 5 mins up the road by petrol station around the back of maldron hotel to eyre square. Taxi avaliable too. We would definitley stay here again.

Would be nice to see some vegan choices on menu. They did have 2 choices of dairy free milk which i was very happy with to use for my tea.

Beautiful hotel, great rooms, bed was so comfortable, shower was great. Clean, quiet, very friendly staff, plenty of shops close by and city centre 20 minutes walk away.

Room was great, very very clean, but the heat had me awake for most of the night. The hotel did have fans available, but I didn't want to disturb them at 2am asking for one, so that's on me not the hotel staff. I will definitely book again. Oh, as a Guinness drinker, the Guinness needs to be looked into, it tasted horrible. That is a personal thing and nothing to do with the actual high standards of cleanliness and friendliness of the staff.

Nice hotel, well kept. Spacious rooms and beautiful lobby. The breakfast totally worth it, 15 euros is the right price. The night reception guy was great, welcoming and service minded.

It's too far to walk from the center, moving back and forth with a taxi makes up the price difference to stay in the center. The old blond lady breakfast attendant talks too much to the rest of the staff and doesn't let them do their job, she is loud and annoying and has an attitude. The rest of the staff were great.
